ABSTRACTGareeballah Osman AdamGraduate School of Woosuk UniversityThe objective of this study was to investigate the antioxidant and hepatoprotective effects of Nigella sativa (NS) seeds on acetaminophen (APAP)-induced acute hepatotoxicity in male Sprague-Dawley rats. There were five experimental groups, including normal control (vehicle, n=6), APAP as a hepatotoxic control (APAP 800 B.w. I.P., n=6), NS I (APAP+NS 100 mg/kg b.w. P.O., n=6), NS II (APAP+NS 300 mg/kg b.w. P.O., n=6) and NS III (APAP+NS 900 mg/kg B.w. P.O., n=6).
