TAJ MAHAL• On a platform 22' high and 313'

square. Each tower is 133 feet tall• Building is 186 feet high and 70 wide.• Corner minarets are 137' tall. Main

structure 186' on a side, dome to 187'.• The mausoleum is 57 m (190 ft) square

in plan.• "The central inner dome is 24.5 m (81

ft) high and 17.7 m (58 ft) in diameter, but is surmounted by an outer shell nearly 61 m (200).

• The four graceful, slender minarets are 162.5 feet each.

RED FORT• The Red Fort stands at the eastern

edge of Shahjahanabad, and gets its name from the massive wall of red sandstone that defines its four sides.

• The wall is 1.5 miles (2.5 km) long, and varies in height from 60ft (16m) on the river side to 110 ft (33 m) towards the city. Measurements have shown that the plan was generated using a square grid of 82 m.

BURJ KHALIFA• Burj Khalifa Tower known as Burj

Dubai before its inauguration, is a megatall . It is the tallest artificial structure in the world, standing at 829.8 m (2,722 ft)

• Construction Highlights Over 45,000 m3 (58,900 cu yd) of concrete, weighing more than 110,000 tonnes were used to construct the concrete and steel foundation, which features 192 piles buried more than 50 m (164 ft) deep. Burj Dubai's construction will have used 330,000 m3 (431,600 cu yd) of concrete and 39,000 tonnes.

COLLOSSEUM• Like other Roman amphitheaters, the

Colosseum in Rome is an ellipse with an arena in its center. The length of the outer ellipse is 524 meters, the length of the long axis is 188 meters, and the length of the minor axis is 156 meters. This is an absolute record.

PANTHEON• The interior design of the

Roman Pantheon is a striking synthesis of tradition and innovation.

• The dimensions of the interior height and the diameter of the dome are the same (145 Roman feet., which is 141 feet. 8 inches;43.2m).

• The architect, who is unknown, did this on purpose to show the harmony of the building.

LIGHT HOUSE OF ALEXANDRIA• The Lighthouse of Alexandria,

DOME OF ROCK TEMPLE• The Dome of the Rock is a shrine

located on the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem. The Dome of the Rock is now one of the oldest works of Islamic architecture It has been called "Jerusalem's most recognizable landmark.

• .The diameter of the dome of the shrine is 20.20 m (66.3 ft) and its height 20.48 m (67.2 ft), while the diameter of the dome of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is 20.90 m (68.6 ft) and its height 21.05 m (69.1 ft).

CASA MILA• Casa Mila popularly known as La

Pedrera , meaning the 'The Quarry', is a modernist building in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was the last civil work designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, built between the years 1906 and 1912.

• The building is 1,323 m2 per floor on a plot of 1,620 m2. The basement was intended to be the garage, the main floor the residence of the Milàs (a flat of all 1,323 m2),

TORRE AGBAR• The Torre Agbar located between

Avingud Diagonal and Carrer Badajoz, which marks the gateway to the new technological district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It was designed by French architect Jean Nouvel in association with the Spanish firm built by Dragados.
