全球生物多样性正在面临重大挑战

• 1992年正式签订国际《生物

多样性公约》（CBD)

• 2000年，“植物园保护国际联盟”

提出“大加纳利岛宣言”

• 《全球植物保护战略》（GSPC）于2002年4月在海牙召开的CBD缔约方大会第六届会议上一致通过 (第VI/9号决定)

• GSPC （2002-2010）包括16个具体目标(Targets)

2000年《大加纳利岛宣言》

• 全球多达三分之二的植物物种受人口增长、毁

林、生境丧失、破坏性开发、资源过度消费、

外来侵入物种蔓延和农业扩张的威胁，在二十

一世纪中有在大自然中灭绝的危险。

• 另据预测，由于很多物种的基因流失和基因基

础缩小，作物多样性的丧失将进一步加剧。

• 在实施“生物多样性

公约”20年，“全球

植物保护战略”10年

后的今天，生物多样

性目标“没有充分实

现”

• 有生物学家惊呼我们

正处在地球上“第6

Objectives of the Global Strategy for Plant

Conservation (2011-2020) 1. Plant diversity is well understood,

conserved;

3. Plant diversity is used in a sustainable and

equitable manner;

4. Education and awareness about plant

diversity, its role in sustainable livelihoods

and importance to all life on Earth is

promoted;

5. The capacities and public engagement

necessary to implement the Strategy have

been developed.

• 2011年7月23日至7月30日， 第18届国际植物学

大会（XVIII International Botanical

Congress）在澳大利亚海滨城市墨尔本成功举行。

• 本次大会形成了六点决议，其中第一条:

• 遵守2010年10月在日本名古屋召开的“国际生物

多样性公约”第十届缔约国大会一致通过的最新

的《全球植物保护战略（2011-2020）》

（GSPC）…全世界植物研究机构共同合作，力

争在2020年完成“世界全部已知植物的在线植物

志”(online flora of all known plants)…

• Representatives from the

Missouri Botanical Garden; New York

Botanical Garden; Royal Botanic Garden,

Kew; and Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

met at the Missouri Botanical Garden to

discuss a collaborative effort to develop the

first online World Flora. January 24, 2012.

2012年4月23日，密苏里植物园、丘园、纽约植物园、爱丁堡植物园正式宣布就WFO达成一致意见

2012年6月5日，密苏里植物园宣布得到孟山都公司300万美元支持，启动WFO计划

2012年7月16-18日，密苏里植物园召集14个国家、地区、主要植物志的34名代表研讨WFO

There are 34,000 species of higher plants in China

(third largest in the world)

Bryophytes: 2900 species (or 12.6% of the world’s

total)

Pteridophytes: (ferns and fern allies): 2549 spp., or

world’s 21.2%；

Gymnosperms: 237 spp., or 31.6% of world’s total;

Angiosperms: 28,356 spp. , or ca. 10% of the

world’s total

China: a megadiversity country

Flora Reipublicae Popularis Sincae, or FRPS,

started in 1959, and completed in 2004

Published in 126 books of 80 volumes

Recorded 31,180 species of 3,434 genera in 300

families of vascular plants

Flora of China, Chinese

language edition

The English and updated version, Flora of China,

started in 1988 as an international initiative, co-chaired

by Prof. C. Y. Wu (Kunming Institute of Botany, China)

and Dr. P. H. Raven (Missouri Botanical Garden, USA).

Whole work will be published in 25 volumes

By the end of 2011, all volumes have been published,

except for the two on ferns and lycopods

Flora of China Illustrations as sister publications,

seed plant volumes have been published.

中国植物多样性家底基本摸清

《中国植物志》及其英文版所依据的标本大

多为1950年代－1970年代采集

经过40余年的发展，使植物多样性特别是物

种分布格局和植被状况已经发生了巨大变迁。

我国植物多样性的现状仍不清楚

对我国生物多样性保护十分不利，一方面使

我国参加相关国际公约的谈判无据可依；另

一方面也直接影响我国植物资源的合理开发

由于分子系统学的迅速发展，国际上维管植

物科级水平的“生命之树”已经基本建立

在科级水平，在《中国植物志》、Flora of

China和APG为代表的分子系统中，我国分

别有300、309和309个科，数目变化不大，

但许多科的界限发生了巨大变化

在属级水平，估计有1/2的属没有做个分子

系统学研究，无法判断其是否为单系

种级水平，以红豆杉属（Taxus ）为例

The Germplasm Bank of Wild Species in Southwest China

• By 2011, 53344 accessions of seeds, representing

7471 species of wild plants (ca. 26% of China’s

flora), have been collected and preserved in the

Bank

• About 3000 accessions of 96 species of rare and

endangered species were on the list, including

Taxus spp. (Taxaceae), Alcimandra cathcartii

(Magnolicaceae), Dipteronia dyeriana

(Aceraceae) , and Nyssa yunnanensis (Nyssaceae)

taxonomic expertise endangered, and genetic

assessment needed (Targets 1 & 2)

• To revise 80% of the genera of vascular plants in the

next years (by 2015), with some 8000 species sampled

• To revise 95% of the genera with some 30000 species

Next steps

几点初步思考

• 我国是全球植物多样性大国，已经加入WTO，已经难以避免要加入WFO

• 国际上对中国有所期待（至少8%的物种），也有所担忧（标本、材料等）

• 大类群、主要区域（特别是西部）已经非常缺乏Qualified Taxonomists，如何续写中国植物学的辉煌历史？

• 数据基础，标本馆数据、名录、植物志、图册的关联性，如何整合？
