Prepare CIM-1200 Install Jumpers V and E. (See Page 2) 2. Program the CIM-1200 Use the QuikWare Programming Software to make the following changes: Set TX Level 40 Set Key Follows PTT to ‘YES’ If Sidetone is desired, set PTT Side tone Audio Level to 50 Set ID, Signaling Format, etc. If Emergency function is not desired, do not program IN1 for Emergency 3. Program the radio with KPG-44D as follows: Go to ‘Model Information’> ‘Option Board’ select ‘ANI Board’. Go to ‘Edit’> ‘Optional Features’> ‘Optional Features 2’> ‘PTT ID’>‘ID Format’ select ‘ANI Board’. Go to ‘Channel Edit’ check the ‘PTT ID’ box for each channel that you want ANI on. If Emergency function is not desired, do not program a key for Emergency Go to ‘Edit’> ‘Key Assignment’ and choose the button desired for ‘Emergency Call’. Go to ‘Edit’> ‘Emergency Information’ select the Group/ Channel desired for Emergency, and under ‘Emergency Type’ select ‘ANI Board’. Application Note

PROCEDURE: 1. Prepare CIM-1200

• Install Jumpers V and E. (See Page 2)

2. Program the CIM-1200 • Use the QuikWare Programming Software to make the following changes:

• Set TX Level 40

• Set Key Follows PTT to ‘YES’

• If Sidetone is desired, set PTT Side tone Audio Level to 50

• Set ID, Signaling Format, etc.

• If Emergency function is not desired, do not program IN1 for Emergency

PROCEDURE: 4. Connecting the CIM-1200 to the Kenwood connectors

• Two connectors are required for this install. These connectors are Kenwood part numbers: E37-0809-05 & E37-0808-05.

• Strip 1/16” & tin • Cut unused wires flush with the connector
