Variable angle-stable proximal Humerus plate with 8 head-holes

The proximal Humerus plate can be used for reconstructable Humerus head fractures or unstable subcapital fractures. This plate is anodised with type II (TiOB®) for a better bio-compatibility and screw removal (oxidized layer is 3 – 5 times thicker, than with coloured anodisation type III). Königsee offers various sizes in a complete set with all relevant instru-ments and screws. Angle-stable cortical screws Ø 3.5 mm, angle-stable cancellous screws Ø 4.0 mm or angle-stable cortical screws Ø 4.0 mm can be used. Combi-holes in the shaft make the optional use of standard screws or angle-stable cortical screws Ø 3.5 mm possible. The plate

consists of commercially pure Titanium, accor-ding to DIN ISO 5832-2 - ASTM F 67. 2 proximal and 2 lateral wire fixation holes on each side of the plate provide an optimized needle passage-way. The plate is equipped with a narrow shaft for plates with 2, 3, 4 and 5 shaft holes in order to protect the periosteum and to facilitate the insertion of the plate.

RoSA®

RoSA® stands for Rotation-stable Screw Anchor and represents a complete new innovative principle for the fixation of fractures in the head-neck fragment at the coxal femoral end.

RoSA® combines the advantages of a screw with those of a blade. It is an extra-medullar implant aiming to help mobilize patients as fast as possible while preserving the femoral head and preventing endoprosthetic implants.

In a comparative study, the RoSA screw anchor system was shown to be significantly superior to the dynamic compression screw system in terms of failure load, stiffness and rotational stability.
