A TRD3UTE TO MR. ARCHIE
DAYSir, I was very pleased when I first
heard that Madame Muriel Brunskillhad selected the organist and choirmaster of the Albert Street CentralMission, Mr. Arcnie Day, to accomoany her on the grand organ on thelast night of her appearance in Brisbane. Although the playing of theaccompaniments to Sir E. Elgar's six.?'See. Pictures ' demanded skill \ ofthe . highest . order, the organist selected .by her ross to the occasion and(if It' we're 'possible) excelled himself.
Madame Brunskill acknowledged,:n a
. very, graceful manner, that Mr.Day' had revealed a command ol ze-.glstrafion,.. and had attuned his accompaniment admirably to herself byleading h'.m up the platform to sharethe applause. By so doing she hadgiven a recommendation to allinterested of his ability, not only asa player of the organ, but as an accompanist of the highest order. I am,sir, &c.,

LIQUOR TRADE HOURSSir. Is this proposal to extend the
l'quor trading hours a joke or Is theLabour Party really serious? If it isserious why are we compelled to payrelief taxes to provide food and clothIng for the unemployed. If the Government imagines the depression is overthe Ministers ought to visit the droughtdistricts and see the great number ofunemployed receiving rations. I am,sir, &c. ?
