QUALIFICATIONS AND REGULATIONS AGE GROUPS Qualification for entry The European Veterans Athletics Championships Indoors (EVACI) are open to European Women and Men who are born on or before 10th March, 1970 on condition that their associations are WMA members affiliated to EVAA. Each participant has to be in sound health, and physically fit for the competition. Note: Safety judges will be appointed and will desualify athletes not able to physically compete corectly. Participants are classified by five year age groups: 35 + for Women and Men. Throughout the Championships an athlete shall compete in the age group for which they qualify on the first (1st) day of the championships, except for the relays. Basis for the carrying out of the competitions are the IAAF and WMA rules as well as the specific regulations issued by the Technical and Organising Committee and EVAA Technical Manager. AGE CLASSES Events are divided into age groups as below:

Provision for handicapped participants Handicapped competitors who need to be assisted by a guide can be admitted only if the assistant granted does not impede any other competitors. Competition rules The representatives appointed by the EVAA are entitled to exclude participants who contravene these rules during the competitions. Entry forms for relay The relay entry forms will be available at the Registration Office in the Arena. They are to be handed in by the team manager at the Registration Office no later than 10:00 am Sunday 13th March 2005. Awards and victory ceremonies The first three placed athletes in each event final will receive gold, silver or bronze plated medals, subject to the medal rules and standards. The 1st eight athletes in an event will receive a certificate. The victory ceremonies for the three winners will effected after the results have been confirmed by the competition jury, at the Registration Office.

Results The competition results will be put up daily at the Arena, and single results can be bought. Complete copies of the results of the European Championships will be available within two months after the end of the championships. A copy will be sent to all persons who have previously paid the costs for the copy and for postage. Doping control (Drug Testing) The Organisation Committee will carry out random doping controls according to IAAF, WMA, WADA and EVAA regulations during the championships. Any participant using drugs from the IAAF,WADA-list of prohibited substances must bring a valid medical certificate signed by two medical doctors (the prescribing doctor and another) and present it to the antidoping official in case, the athlete is drawn for a doping control. A medical certificate does not signify that an athlete may not be found to have submitted a positive test. Please note that the medical certificate mentioned above must not be sent to the Organisation Committee with the Competition Entry Form or any other document, but kept with the athlete. Medical care / Physiotherapy During the competition days, "First-Aid-Stations“ will be provided for the contestants. Costs for medical or corresponding services are to be carried by the patient. We therefore strongly recommend to take out an insurance against accidents on travel before beginning one’s journey. Physiotherapeutic services are available for all competitors against remuneration. Areas will be provided for affiliates own medical teams. VISA'S For some countries, a visa is required when entering Sweden. These visa have to be applied for before beginning one’s journey at the appropriate consulate or at the Embassy in the participant’s country. ENTRIES Deadline and registration office All entries on the official "Competition Entry Form“ have to be handed in through a Veteran Affiliate or national association which is an EVAA member. Entries handed in from countries where there is no member association of the EVAA or in which the association has not fulfilled its obligations have to be approved by the EVAA council. The entries have to be on hand with the Organisation Committee by 31st December 2004 at the latest. New participants have to enclose a copy of their birth certificate or their ID with their registration in order to establish their age. Receipt of the entries will be acknowledged to the (Athlete) and Veteran Affiliate/National Association 30 days after the deadline, provided that all participants fees have been paid to the Organisation Committee. Entry fees All athletes are required to pay the participation fees which includes the EVAA fee when sending in their entries. Simultaneous payment is necessary, otherwise the entry will be rejected,.
