LUBRICATIONThe engine is lubricated by oil

ratio is 25:1, using regular30 or SAE40 Motor Oil.

The drive chain is enclosed andght side and remove cover (CFig.. The chain case should contain

^-pint of SAE 20 Motor Oil.Ski legs are equipped with pressure

Track drive axles and bogie wheels

    ADJUSTMENTSTEERING SKIS. Disconnect tie rod

    parallel when pointing straight

(rear) end. Tie rod must be installedin forward hole of both steering arms.Drag link attaches to rear hole ofright steering arm. Shorten orlengthen drag link if necessary, untilhandle bar is in normal straight driv-ing position with both skis pointingstraight ahead.

DRIVE CHAIN. The roller drivechain should have a minimum amountof slack but no tension. Adjustmentcan be measured by checking thebacklash (AFig. 1) at pulley rim.Adjustment is correct when backlash(A) is approximately %-inch. Adjustby loosening the locknut and turningidler adjusting screw (B) until back-lash is correct.BRAKE. A shoe-type brake is usedas shown in Fig. 1. Brake is adjustedat cable housing anchor as shown inFig. 2. Make sure brake does not dragwhen lever is released but is fullyengaged before lever contacts handle-bar grip.
