• Staff attend training• Staff gain Certificate of Completion Certificate for some
training• Staff use the knowledge and skills in their course delivery
Professional Development Unit• The PD units trainers identify:• New technology and lead the institute to gain
access them• Support staff through training to:
• Use new technology• Use new features of existing technology• Provide ideas and implementation assistance
• Provide learning resources and guides as well as examples
• Challenges:• Staff not attending sessions• Staff with drawing from courses • Poor participation in the course

approve some of these training • Has less impact on promotions or current
workload
