Being a developing country, Malaysia is facing many challenges and prob-lems to overcome to fulfill the dream of Vision 2020. One of our major problems is low proficiency in English.

C.E.A.D, or Children. Engage. Activate. Develop is an interactive and unique programme started by AIESEC in USM, Malaysia.

About C.E.A.D ProjectActivity guideline:

1) EPs will discuss and suggest activities to improve the children’s skillset in these 4 focus:• Reading Skills – prepare articles and introduce the use of dictionary to children.• Writing Skills – guide the children in writing and self-expression.• Listening Skills – prepare an English movie for sharing with the children. • Speaking Skills – guide the children for public speaking and presentations.

2) EP will need to organize and involve in Global Village. • EP will have cultural showcase to present their cultural food, share facts and come out with a performance which represent their country.

1) To provide and come up with different reading techniques for the children.2) To assess the children’s comprehension in reading.3) To improvise reading materials to be interactive and engaging for children.4) To craft and create interactive activities such as poetry, daily journal, and others for children.

Just like pearls are lustrous jewels nestled deep in oysters far below the sea, Penang is a dazzling place that has much to discover, ranging from its pristine beaches, exotic cultures, rich heritage, fascinating architecture to a mouth-watering spread of food.

• Public Bus Taking the public bus is the most economical way you can commute around the island. With a proper route map and helpful drivers, the bus seems to grab the attention of every Penangites as well as the tourists.

• City Shuttle Bus (CAT) Penang has a free shuttle bus or central area transit (CAT) that tours around renowned places in George Town. CAT made easier as there are now 19 CAT stops in between all the famous heritage landmarks of Penang!

• Taxi You can easily find taxis congregating in front of shopping malls, airport and bus terminals. Using “MyTeksi” is the safest taxi booking app in Malaysia. It is reliable and easy to use.

• Trishaw Taking a trishaw ride is another interesting ways of sightseeing the city of Georgetown. The open-fronted three-wheeled vehicle allow visitors the opportunity of seeing the sights at a more leisurely and slower pace so that every interesting attraction at around the city area will be fully explored.

• Kek Lok Si

The largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia. It is not just a center for Chinese culture and Buddha teaching, but also an unique heritage treasure that have Mahayana Buddhism and traditional Chinese rituals.

• Penang Stree Art

Street art has been popping up all over the inner city and has stirred up quite a media frenzy. The artworks are funny, fascinating, and very much open to everyone’s interpretations. The murals can mostly be found at Georgetown. You will have to do some “hunting”, of course!

Spotlight of PenangAttractions:

• Penang Hill

Penang Hill is one of the cool places to visit in Penang. The cool breeze and fresh air makes it an excellent getaway from the hustle-bustle of the city. There are many activities to choose from when you’ve reached the top of the hill.
