AUSPICIOUS  DATES  For  Sydney  Australia  2012  

 There   are   three   ways   to   pick   an   auspicious   date  —     depending   upon  what   is  more  important  —  the  auspiciousness  or  the  convenience.    

1. The   date   can   be   worked   out   based   on   the   horoscope   of   the   party  concerned  —  this  date  and  time  is  rarely  ever  “convenient”.  

2.  One  can  pick  a  generally  auspicious  date  as  given   in   the   chart  below   in  which  one  can  match  timing  with  convenience.  

3. Or  one  can  disregard  all  considerations  of  “auspiciousness”    and  choose  a  date  out  of  convenience  only.  The  outcome  then,  is  left  entirely  to  karma.    

In  the  calendar  provided,   the  shaded  fortnight   is   the  waning  fortnight   in  which  the  Moon  is  losing  strength.    The   unshaded   fortnight   is   the   waxing   period   when   the   moon   is   gaining   in  strength.    All  auspicious   functions  should  be  carried  out  when   the  moon   is  waxing.   If   the  matter   is   urgent   and   cannot  wait   then   pick   one   of   the   generally   good   days   as  mentioned  in  the  calendar.  The   nakshatras   or   Lunar   Mansions   are   calculated   for   sunrise   in   Sydney,  Australia.  The  Nakshatra  at  sunrise  is  said  to  rule  the  day  —  please  note  that  all  the  dates  are  approximate  only!      Once  you  have  chosen  a  few  suitable  days  please  discuss  and  confirm  the  degree  of  auspiciousness  with  your  pandit.    AMAVASYA    is  the  New  Moon  when  the  moon  is  at  its  weakest  point  —  this  day  should  be  avoided  for  all  auspicious  work.  PURNIMA  is  the  Full  Moon  when  the  moon  is  at  its  strongest.  SANKRANTI      is the day in which the Sun changes signs of the zodiac — these days too should be avoided for all auspicious activities.
