Definition
Orders on hand
This is the actual and future expected turnover per day based on the material
availability date. Therefore, the requirements of the all the schedule lines without
supply as well as deliveries without a goods issue are included into the calculation.
The orders on hand is a snapshot in contradiction to the incoming orders (Delta).
Incoming orders
It is delta reflection between the actual and the beforehand cumulated update (on a
quantity and value basis) of sales order schedule lines at their creation date. No
monthly reflection is possible.

Motivation
Incoming orders are often seen as the first link of a chain, where production and
sales/shipping are subsequent processes. The key figures enable an insight in
future developments at production and sales/shipping and are the basis for
schedules e.g. at the creation of a business plan.
Incoming orders could be measured in different ways, particularly as a value of
new incoming orders within a certain time period, for instance within a month, as
a volume of orders (in other words orders on hand or value of the orders in the
order books at a certain point in time, for instance at the end of the month or as
order cancelations during a certain time period.

Concept
This solution should provide a standardized data retrieval/recording.
Likewise, flexible (project specific) evaluations should be realizable
Two key figures (orders on hand and incoming orders (cumulated))are
available. Both key figures deliver quantity information as well as value
information in two currencies
After creation of e.g. a SIS-info structure (free definable), daily jobs fill this
structure. Own! programs provide the corresponding data record. Period
based reports (day, week, month, …) are possible for own reports
