RETRATO: DIVULGAO
Caro leitor,
O ms de outubro muito especial para ns. H seis anos a Azul realiza, em mbito nacional, a campanha Outubro Rosa, que tem por objetivo alertar as mulhe-res brasileiras quanto importncia da preveno do cncer de mama, uma das doenas que mais acometem pessoas do sexo feminino em todo o mundo.
Esta nobre causa motivo de muito orgulho para a companhia, que, junto com a Femama e a Fundao Lao Rosa, ajuda a salvar vidas. Neste ano, estamos promovendo uma srie de aes de conscientizao sobre a doena e disseminando informaes teis aos Clientes em diversas frentes de comunicao. Um dos destaques da campanha a pintura especial cor-de--rosa presente em trs aeronaves da Azul, que viajam por todo o Brasil, e os Tripulantes trajando uniformes nos tons da iniciativa.
Outra novidade que nos deixa entusiasmados o incio, neste ms, dos voos com os Airbus A330 com uma novssima cabine. Essas aeronaves oferecem a mais avanada tecnologia em termos de conforto e entretenimento de bordo. Elas so equipadas com monitores individuais touchscreen com vrias opes de filmes e seriados, luzes de LED com diferentes ambientaes, entre outras regalias. Inicialmente, os avies com as novas cabines estaro disponveis em parte das operaes e, em breve, em todas as rotas internacionais da companhia.
Como j antecipamos na ocasio em que nosso fundador, David Neeleman, venceu o processo de privatizao da TAP, a Azul comeou a vender pas-sagens para os destinos servidos pela area portu-guesa, saindo de 12 cidades brasileiras para mais de 50 localidades internacionais.
Por fim, lanamos o Desafio TudoAzul: convidamos os Clientes j reconhecidos pela alta frequncia de suas viagens em outras companhias a se cadastrarem com status equivalente em nosso programa TudoAzul para aproveitarem as vantagens que s a empresa com a maior malha area do Brasil pode oferecer. No perca esta oportunidade que tem perodo limitado.

Dear reader,
The month of October is very special to us. For six years, Azul has carried out the Pink October campaign nationwide, which is aimed at alerting Brazilian women as to the importance of preventing breast cancer, one of the diseases that most affects women worldwide.
This noble cause is a source of tremendous pride for the company, which along with the Femama and Fundao Lao Rosa helps to save lives. This year, were promoting a series of campaigns to build awareness about the disease and to disseminate useful information to Customers on several communication fronts.One of the campaigns highlights is this special pink paint finish on three of Azuls aircraft, which fly throughout Brazil, and crew members wearing uniforms with the initiatives colors.
Another new development that were excited about is the beginning of flights with the Airbus A330 featuring an all-new cabin, starting this month. These aircrafts offer the most advanced technology in terms of comfort and in-flight entertainment. On these aircrafts, individual touchscreen monitors are available, with a wide choice of movies and TV shows, plus LED lights with options for different settings, among other perks. Initially, the jetliners with the new cabins will be available on a portion of our operations and, soon, on all of the companys international routes.
As we already announced on the occasion when our founder, David Neeleman, won the TAP privatization process, Azul has begun selling tickets to destinations served by the Portugal-based airline company, departing from 12 Brazilian cities to more than 50 international localities.
Finally, weve launched the TudoAzul Challenge: we invite Customers who are already recognized for their high frequency of flying with other companies to sign up with equivalent status in our TudoAzul program, to enjoy the advantages that only the company with the largest air travel network in Brazil can offer. Do not miss this opportunity that has limited period .

With a degree from Escola Panamericana de Artes in So
Paulo, and post graduate certification from the International
Center of Photography in New York, he worked for four years
alongside Otto Stupakoff, a pioneer of fashion photography
in Brazil. He shot the pictures of the actor Reynaldo
Gianecchini, who graces the cover of this months edition.

O quinteto ingls volta capital paulista com a turn de seu
quarto disco, What Went Down, lanado em agosto. Com
influncias do indie rock, da msica experimental e da eletrnica,
a banda promete tocar seus hits, como Inhaler, Spanish Sahara
e My Number. No dia seguinte, o grupo faz show no Rio.
The five-member English band returns to the city of So Paulo
on the tour promoting its fourth album, What Went Down,
released in August. With influences ranging from indie rock to
experimental music and electronic, the band promises to play
their hits such as Inhaler, Spanish Sahara and My Number.
The group will also perform in Rio the following day.

Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro and So Paulo helped him garner Brazilian fans and followers by hosting the Fortune exhibit, in 2013 and 2014. Now, William Kentridge increases his scope of influence in Brazil, by earning a prime space at Brazils foremost outdoor complex of contemporary art: Inhotim. Starting October 1st, the loudspeakers and amplifiers of The Murder of Crows a work by Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller exit the scene and free up the institutions main exhibit facility for the eight films of the video installation titled I Am Not Me, The Horse Is Not Mine, by the South African artist.
Kentridge had long been in the sights of the curators of the venue, located in the town of Brumadinho, Minas Gerais, and is the first representative from Africa to have works exhibited at the site. His contribution in the transition from the two-dimensional to the moving image is huge. The work chosen, specifically, is very entertaining, almost pop. It provokes an awesome immersion, asserts Rodrigo Moura, artistic director at the Inhotim Center. I Am Not Me... has already been exhibited at Tate Modern in London and at MoMA in New York City; it will remain at the Brazilian institution for at least two years.
Another new feature of the complex, also scheduled to open on October 1st, is the exhibit titled Do Objeto para o Mundo, a gathering of 50 works from the Institutes own collection that has already traveled to Belo Horizonte and So Paulo and now returns home to be put on display there for two years. These are works produced in the 1950s, 60s and 70s, and represent the movements that have shaped contemporary art. This is the art that we, at Inhotim, are interested in showing, explains Rodrigo. Chris Burden, Hitoshi Nomura, Hlio Oiticica, Artur Barrio, and Lygia Pape are among the artists who signed the creations in the collection.

American Daniel Arsham has three installations at
the exhibition Paredes Mveis, where as usual
he plays with architectural spaces. In Formless Figure,

In a very short stay in Rio (from October 1st to 6th), the exhibit titled
Linha Dgua Viagens Ocenicas de Amyr Klink gathers 30 photographs
that showcase the conscious use of water on the expeditions undertaken
by the seafarer. Also noteworthy is the I.A.T. boat on display, which he
used for rowing across the South Atlantic.

The protagonist of 11 of the 12 books by Rio-native Luiz Alfredo Garcia-Roza, captain Espinosa holds a prominent place in Brazilian literature. And hes finally making the move to television. The character methodical, well-read and, above all, ethical will be played by Domingos Montagner in the series Romance Policial Espinosa, totaling eight episodes and premiering October 15th, at 11 pm, on GNT.
Inspired by the book Uma Janela em Copacabana, originally published in 2001, the new production is directed by Jos Henrique Fonseca and will follow Espinosa in the investigation of several murders in the famous upscale neighborhood in Rio. To compose the character, Domingos pored over the book, visited police stations, and went through practical training with members of the special operations unit of Rios civil police department. I play not only Espinosa, but a Brazilian civil police agent, says the actor.
The noir and cool apsects of Garcia-Rozas work are maintained in the script, which follows the same structure and argument as the original novel. The plot kicks off when two policemen are killed in the same way a shot to the neck at point-blank range. The situation worsens when their lovers are also killed. So, Espinosa puts together a special group and begins the investigations, enveloped in mystery.

Protagonista de 11 dos 12 livros do carioca Luiz Alfredo Garcia-Roza, o delegado Espinosa ocupa lugar de destaque na literatura brasileira. E, enfim, migrar para outra plataforma, a TV. O personagem metdico, culto e, sobretudo, tico ser interpre-tado por Domingos Montagner na srie Romance Policial Espinosa, que ter oito episdios e estreia no dia 15 de outubro, s 23h, no GNT.
Inspirada na obra Uma Janela em Copacaba-na, que o autor lanou em 2001, a produo tem direo de Jos Henrique Fonseca e vai acompanhar Espinosa na investigao de vrios assassinatos no bairro carioca. Para compor o personagem, Domingos esmiuou o livro, visitou delegacias e fez treinamento prtico com profissionais da CORE, unidade de operaes especiais da Polcia Civil do Rio. Eu represento no s o Espinosa, mas um policial civil brasileiro, diz o ator.
A atmosfera noir e cool da obra de Garcia-Roza se mantm no roteiro, que obedece a estrutura e o argumento do romance. A trama tem seu pontap inicial quando dois policiais so mortos em condi-es idnticas com um tiro na nuca e queima- roupa. A situao se agrava quando as amantes deles tambm so assassinadas. Espinosa, ento, monta um grupo especial e comea as investiga-es, cercadas de muitos mistrios.

The protagonist of 11 of the 12 books by Rio-native Luiz Alfredo Garcia-Roza, captain Espinosa holds a prominent place in Brazilian literature. And hes finally making the move to television. The character methodical, well-read and, above all, ethical will be played by Domingos Montagner in the series Romance Policial Espinosa, totaling eight episodes and premiering October 15th, at 11 pm, on GNT.
Inspired by the book Uma Janela em Copacabana, originally published in 2001, the new production is directed by Jos Henrique Fonseca and will follow Espinosa in the investigation of several murders in the famous upscale neighborhood in Rio. To compose the character, Domingos pored over the book, visited police stations, and went through practical training with members of the special operations unit of Rios civil police department. I play not only Espinosa, but a Brazilian civil police agent, says the actor.
The noir and cool apsects of Garcia-Rozas work are maintained in the script, which follows the same structure and argument as the original novel. The plot kicks off when two policemen are killed in the same way a shot to the neck at point-blank range. The situation worsens when their lovers are also killed. So, Espinosa puts together a special group and begins the investigations, enveloped in mystery.

de Commandant, um miliciano que tem como funo instruir Agu
(Abraham Attah), um garoto forado a lutar na guerra civil. O longa
baseado no romance homnimo do nigeriano Uzodinma Iweala.

directed by Cary Fukunaga (of True Detective) and stars Idris Elba in the
role of Commandant, an African militiaman who undertakes to train Agu
(Abraham Attah), a boy forced to fight in the civil war. The film is based
on the eponymous novel by Nigerian writer Uzodinma Iweala.

Depois de Pedro Almodvar, chegou a vez de Martin Scorsese fazer o pster da Mostra Internacional de Cinema de So Paulo, cuja 39edio ser realizada do dia 22 deste ms ao dia 4 de novembro. Para compor o trabalho, o diretor escolheu como imagem um storyboard de seu filme mais recente, o indito Silncio.
A grande retrospectiva do evento tambm conta com a bno do norte-americano: sero exi-bidos mais de 20 filmes restaurados pela Film Fou-ndation, instituio que ele criou para recuperar importantes filmes em processo de deteriorao. Ser a chance de rever, em cpia novinha, clssicos como o bizarro Eraserhead (1977), primeiro longa de David Lynch, e o cultuadssimo Limite (1931), do brasileiro Mrio Peixoto. O Scorsese usa seu nome para preservar no s o cinema americano, mas do mundo todo, inclusive do Brasil. uma ao de resgate da memria da stima arte, diz Renata de Almeida, diretora da Mostra.
A abertura ficar a cargo de Meu Amigo Hindu, longa de Hector Babenco em que Willem Dafoe vive um alter ego do cineasta um diretor que sobrevive a uma grave doena e reencontra a vontade de viver. Entre os inditos, destaque para a forte seleo dos premiados no Festival de Cannes, como o portugus As Mil e Uma Noites, o hngaro Son of Saul, um dos favoritos ao prximo Oscar de filme estrangeiro, e o francs Dheepan, vencedor da Palma de Ouro. After Pedro Almodvar, now comes Martin Scorseses turn to design the poster for the So Paulo International Film festival, the 39th edition of which will take place October 22nd through November 4th. To compose the work, the director chose to use a storyboard from his latest film, Silence.
The events grand retrospective also has Scorseses blessing: screenings of over twenty films restored by the Film Foundation, an institution that he created to restore important films that were in the process of deterioration. It will be the chance to watch fully restored versions of classics such as the bizarre Eraserhead (1977), David Lynchs first feature film, and the cult film Limite (1931), by Brazils Mrio Peixoto. Scorsese uses his name to preserve not only American cinema, but the whole worlds cinema, even Brazils. Its a way to rescue the memory of the seventh art, says Renata de Almeida, director of the Festival.
The show will open with Meu Amigo Hindu (My Hindu Friend), a feature-length film directed by Hector Babenco, in which Willem Dafoe plays an alter ego of the filmmaker a director who survives a serious illness and once again finds his will to live. Highlighted among the unreleased movies are several award winners at Cannes, such as As Mil e Uma Noites (Arabian Nights), from Portugal; Son of Saul, from Hungary, a favorite for next years Oscar for best foreign-language film; and the French film Dheepan, winner of the Palme dOr.
