Notasi akhiran ganda: setiap elemen dalam suatu matriks memiliki alamatatau tempat tertentunya sendiri yang dapat didefinisikan dengan suatu sistem akhiran ganda, yg pertama menyatakan baris, yg kedua menyatakan kolom dengan demikian:
