Apa itu PIPP?• Sebelum merdeka sehingga RMKe-8,
pembangunan pendidikan telah mencapai banyak kemajuan khususnya dalam penyediaan infrastruktur, kemudahan pendidikan dan latihan perguruan.
• Dalam usaha ini banyak isu dan cabaran perlu di perjuangkan dan pelbagai usaha perlu dipertingkatkan.
• Pelan Induk Pembangunan Pendidikan (PIPP) 2006-2010 telah dirangka untuk melaksanakan dan merealisasikan satu sistem pendidikan yang holistik, progresif, bermoral dan bertaraf dunia dengan memberi penekanan kepada pembangunan hard dan soft development.

Keputusan mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Kurikulum
Pusat Bilangan 3/2003 bertarikh 22 November2003 telah memutuskan program ICTL SekolahRendah akan dilaksanakan pada April, 2005bermula dengan Tahun 1 iaitu selepasprogram Transisi Pra Sekolah ke Tahun 1.

Program ICTL ini akan dilaksanakan kepada semua sekolah rendah yang mempunyai makmal komputer.
Bagi Sekolah Kurang Murid, program ini boleh dilaksanakan sebagai aktiviti berkumpulan berdasarkan bilangan komputer yang dibekalkan.
61-99 orang pelajar 8 unit
komputer 30-60 orang pelajar
5 unit komputer kurang 30 orang pelajar 3 unit

Surat pekeliling Ikhtisas Bil 10/2004 bertarikh 31 Disember 2004 mengenai pelaksanaan program ini telah diedarkan ke semua Jabatan Pelajaran Negeri.

Program ini akan dilaksanakan selama tiga (3) bulan persekolahan dengan mengambil waktu mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggeris (SK) dan bahasa ibunda (SJK) selama 60 minit seminggu.
Program ini hendaklah dilaksanakan secara berturutan selama tiga (3) bulan.

Kandungan yang terdapat di dalam Buku Panduan ICTL ini adalah merupakan keperluan asas literasi ICT yang perlu dikuasai oleh pelajar di sekolah rendah.
Tahap kesukaran literasi ICT berbeza dari tahun ke tahun apabila murid maju dari Tahun 1 hingga ke Tahun 6.
Beberapa tajuk akan diulang tetapi kedalaman skop adalah berbeza mengikut kebolehan pelajar.

1. Kenapa program ICTL dilaksanakan pada waktu pengajaran bahasa Inggeris bagi SK dan bahasa ibunda bagi SRJK?
Keputusan mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Kurikulum Pusat Bilangan 3/2003 bertarikh 22 November 2003 telah memutuskan jumlah waktu persekolahan yang sedia ada dikekalkan.
Kemasukan program ICTL ke dalam jadual waktu tidak akan menjejaskan peruntukan masa dalam jadual waktu sedia ada.

computer. The computer will be shut down by the
teachers.

LAB SAFETY
Computers
1. Do not insert pencils or other implements in floppy disk drives, to avoid damage to the drives.
2. Avoid blocking air vents to prevent overheating.
3. Position keyboards to prevent bumping or dropping them off the work surface.
Monitors
1. Do not attempt to repair the monitor. Most manufacturers advise repair by authorized service technicians
only.
2. Adjust brightness and focus for comfortable viewing.
3. Avoid glare on the monitor screen.
4. Do not leave fingerprints on the screen. Keep the screen clear of dust. Use only a soft cloth for cleaning the screen.
Diskettes
1. Put write/protect tabs on all program software to avoid accidental erasure.2. Do not bend or fold diskettes.
3. Do not write on a diskette with a hard- or sharp-pointed pen or pencil; use a felt-tip marker.
4. Do not touch exposed surfaces of diskettes.
5. Be sure the disk drive is not running when you insert or remove a diskette.
Diskettes
6. Keep diskettes away from extreme hot or cold temperatures. Do not leave diskettes in a car during very hot or cold weather.
7. Keep diskettes away from magnetic fields, such as transformers and magnets.
8. Keep diskettes away from smoke, ashes, and dust, including chalk dust.
9. Do not leave diskettes in the disk drive for prolonged periods, such as overnight.
