With several constructive measures and a completelynew conceptional approach, we have succeeded inclearly improving the well known Benzinger precision.
To achieve highest precision, the highest precision must
also be used for the components. Which is what wehave resolutely done by selecting the top products ofthe market leaders: the ball threaded gears fromMannesmann, the linear guides from Schneebergerand the glass scales from Heidenhain.But these components alone do not constitute aprecision machine.Only once the two axes have been separated, whichare each now directly located on the 3.8 t heavy, verysolidly designed machine bed made of vibrationdamping grey cast iron has it been possible to manu-facture partsp roc e ss sure with a tolerance range of2.Using post process measurement with Measurementfeedback, interfering influences such as tool wear canbe effectively eliminated.
The long hub of the table base enables the integrationof additional components such as tool revolver, toothcutting facility, grinding spindle , thread rotation unitetc.By using a new pivot loading concept enables toolexchange times of 3 sec. Thus and by using rapid moti-on speeds of 45m/min at 1g acceleration the mFutureis the optimal machine for high precision mass serialproducts.Should the output of one spindle be insufficient, the2 spindle variant offers an interesting solution. It offerson the same area double output with synchronousworking.Furthermore by using a turning station (optional) withthis variant it is possible to rea lise front and rear working.
