THE CITY OF
The name of our city is called Asgardian. The city of Asgardian is
located in Ranau, Sabah. The reason for this city to be built in
Ranau is because that in the year 2015 an earthquake with the
magnitude of 6.0 hit Sabah causing major damage to almost the
entire state especially in the town of Ranau. That is why the
Malaysian government planned for a proposal of a city that will be
resilient to earthquakes to be built. This is also the reason the main
focus of this city is its ability to be earthquake resilient. This cities
earthquake resilient features are for example all the buildings in
the city will be built and equipped with earthquake resistance
technology which is a major part in making the city earthquake
resilient. Another earthquake resilient feature of this city is the
advance evacuation protocols. Besides all the earthquake resilient
features, there are also high tech ecofriendly transportation
system that brings the residents of Asgardian around the entire
city as personal vehicles are not allowed in this city. Finally, this
city also prioritise the use of ecofriendly and renewable resources
to generate the cities power as it helps promote environmental
awareness and acts as an example for other cities to follow.

PRESENTATION BOARD 3
On this board are the key features of Asgardian; the
waste management system, the energy
management system and most importantly, the
disasterresilient aspects of the city. Each of these
features are corelated so as to bring about a whole
new level of resiliency whereby not only the city’s
buildings themselves are reenforced with high
earthquakeresilient technology, but with backup
systems so as to provide sufficient energy for
disasterrelief protocols for when disaster strikes.
