To complement our popular Grade 9-12 mathematics, science, English and social science courses, we are pleased to offer Grade 11 and 12 Photography, Grade 11 Travel and Tourism, Grade 11 Marketing, and Grade 12 Mathematics for College Technology, as well as the Ontario Literacy Course.
We Offer the cOurses everyOne WAntsAll the most popular Ontario high school courses are available through Blyth Academy Online, including Grade 12 Advanced Functions and English. Because they are available at any time, you can fit your learning to your life, and not the other way round.
In Photography, students learn and develop skills and techniques such as lighting, focus and framing, as well as the use of editing and manipulation software. They also have fun experiencing a photo shoot and using long exposures to create images like this “light graffiti”.
Every student in school today will be involved in online learning at some point in his or her life, whether it is in high school, university, or in professional development in a career. Learning goals and objectives are clearly communicated at the beginning of your learning. You will be given multiple chances to practice skills and to receive feedback from your teacher before you do the pieces of work that are counted towards your final grade. Rubrics give you a clear picture of what is expected, and what you need to do to achieve the grade you want.
In Science, students perform experiments using easily assessable household items, as well as carrying out virtual labs online.
dO i hAve tO sit An eXAminAtiOn?
When you are ready, you can organize your own final exam. You can either take it at a Blyth campus, or have your own proctor approved.
hOW dO i Get my teXtBOOK?
Most of our content is online. Some courses supplement this with a textbook. This is included in the price of your course, and is delivered to you electronically as an eBook. However, novels, plays, or poetry books required for English courses are not included in the price of your course.

Our courses are developed and taught by Blyth Academy teachers who are trained in the effective delivery of an exemplary online learning experience. Unhappy with a grade this year? Redo the course and take advantage of our personalized education and one-on-one teaching from the comfort of your home. Our Repeat Courses are the same as our regular courses, but the assessment and evaluation has been tailored to students taking them for a second time. Because students have taken the course before, they should be able to complete a Repeat Course more quickly. The course covers the same content, and the same credit is awarded at the end.

FEES, CAnCEllATIOn, AnD PREREQUISITE POlICY The tuition is $595 per course, payable in full at time of enrollment. Once the course has started, no refunds may be issued. If applicable, students are required to present their transcript, course prerequisite, and photo identification to [email protected] before their credit is awarded.
