DEMO ARTISANS
10th ANNUAL Brunswick Outdoor Arts Festival Saturday, August 20, 2016
9 a.m. 5 p.m.
BOOTH FEES:
There are no booth fees at this time; for demo artisans. In lieu of a booth fee, we ask for a donation, tax deductible, for our annual Silent Auction Fund Raiser to be collected by our staff at the festival.
There are booth fees for gourmet food products. The fee is $150 or 15% of gross. SUBMISSIONS:
Demo Artisans are required to provide different samples of current work in some appropriate format. Digital pictures, a website or CD/DVD are acceptable. An image of the Artisan’s booth is recommended but is not required. A short narrative on your work and demo is required. Each Artisan is required to have a booth/set-‐up, professional in appearance. SUBMISSIONS ARE WAIVED FOR RETURNING DEMO ARTISANS. DEADLINE:
Applications will be accepted until the show is full. Demo Artisans will be juried as applications are received. Note that we limit the number of demo artisans allowed to participate and preference is given to returning Artisans. SET-‐UP TIME:
After 4 a.m., Saturday morning. FESTIVAL INFORMATION, RULES, AND GUIDLINES
The Brunswick Downtown Association (BDA), is a 501C3 non-profit organization. This will be our TENTH ANNUAL OUTDOOR ARTS FESTIVAL to be held on August 20, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the sidewalks of Maine Street in Downtown Brunswick and Mall (town green). The purpose of this show is to foster an appreciation, interest and exposure to the arts in Downtown Brunswick. The festival is a huge success for the BDA, Town of Brunswick, attendees and the Artisans participating. We promise to utilize all resources available to insure the Festival’s success for the public, Artisans, the Brunswick Downtown Association and the Town of Brunswick. Our festival is run entirely by volunteers.

The mall area of downtown is reserved for demo artisans only. ENTERTAINMENT:
Many outstanding local performers will provide musical entertainment. Roving musicians, bands, dancers, mimes and jugglers will add to the festivities. Theatre performance and craft demonstrations will be ongoing throughout the day. The festival sanctions all performers and only sanctioned performers may participate. FOOD:
There are numerous cafes and restaurants along Maine Street, Brunswick. ELIGIBILITY:
The show is limited to fine arts and fine craft only. The show is open to all entrants, regardless of race, color, creed, sexual orientation or national origin. No dealers or reps. Artisans must manage their own booths. MAINE MADE GOURMET FOOD PRODUCTS
We now present Maine made gourmet food products in the demo area. Samples must be provided to show attendees. There is a booth fee of $150 or 15% of gross. Contact Keith directly to be considered. EXHIBIT SPACES
Exhibit space is not limited for our demo artisans, however you should inform us of approximately how large your demo area will be. Please be prepared for uneven ground. We need to know if you will need electricity. All participants must provide their own display, sturdy enough to withstand the elements. SALES TAX
To do business in Maine, exhibitors must have a currently valid Maine Sales Tax number. You can obtain a Tax Number from the following web site: https://www.maine.gov/online/suwtaxreg/. Further information will be sent to those Artisans who are selected to show in this festival. The undersigned does hereby forever discharge, release and hold harmless the Brunswick Downtown Association, or any of the Outdoor Arts Festival Committee members and volunteers, and the Town of Brunswick, of and from any and all manners of actions, suits, damages or claims whatsoever arising from personal injury and any loss or damage to the property of the undersigned while in the possession or supervision of the Brunswick Outdoor Art Festival. The undersigned also agrees to settle damages caused by the undersigned or the undersigned's property to surrounding exhibitors immediately and in a fair and amicable manner. Further, the undersigned hereby consents to the enforcement of the Festival rules as set out in the accompanying brochure and in the letter of instructions mailed to the accepted exhibitors. I agree to keep my exhibit set up for the duration of the 2015 show. I agree to abide by the show rules and guidelines as noted above.
