Bishop Fabre, Father Duc, and most importantly the ministries of the diocese would like to thank everyone in Our Lady of the Rosary parish and all people throughout the diocese or Houma-Thibodaux for answering the call of prayers and generosity to the 2020 Annual Bishop’s Appeal. Each gi our diocese received directly support our 13 seminarians, caring for our 17 re red priests, youth forma on and religious educa on, and Catholic educa on. The generosity and prayers our diocese has received reminds us that hope is in us all, but more importantly it is in the most im-portant person—Jesus. Thus far, Our Lady of the Rosary parish has received 27.47% of its appeal goal, thank you. The St. Joseph Altar commi ee is excited to announce that the altar will return to the Holy Rosary School cafeteria this year. The blessing of the altar will take place following the 7:30 MORNING MASS AND ADORATION ON THURSDAY, MARCH 19TH. There will be a meal star ng at 11AM and the break down of the altar will take place at 4PM. Se ng up for the altar will be on Tuesday, March 17th at 4PM un l and Wednesday, March 18th at 4PM un l. Religious items and pictures as well as any meatless food items may be dropped off at the Sal llo Room beginning on Wednesday, March 18th. Please label statues, pictures, serving pieces, etc. with your name to ensure their return to the owners. As always, volunteers are needed to assist in any capacity (From se ng up the altar to cleaning). We look forward to your visit to OLR’s St. Joseph Altar.

R M O The cemetery office would like to remind all mausoleum crypt owners that flowers, statues, glass objects and other items are not allowed on mausoleum floors except at funer-al time due to safety concerns. Items found on the mauso-leum floor will be removed and thrown in the trash. Only vases on crypt doors will be allowed! If you would like to purchase a vase for the crypt door you are asked to call the parish office. Thank you for helping Our Lady of the Rosary Ceme-tery remain an attractive and beautiful resting place for the deceased.
BAPTISMAL PREPARATION Our Lady of the Rosary Baptismal Preparation consists of one mandatory Baptismal Seminar which consists of an information session which is on the first Saturday of the month at 9AM in the Parish Office. Call the parish office to register. • Both parents and Godparents/sponsors are required to
attend the Baptismal Seminar prior to the birth of the baby.
• Parents must provide a copy of the child’s birth certifi-cate.
• Godparents/Sponsors must meet Canon Law require-ments: 1. Be a Catholic. 2. Be a practicing Catholic. This means, a Catholic per-
son who is in an invalid marriage (not in a Catholic Church marriage) cannot be a sponsor/godparent. A cohabiting Catholic person who is not married, (living with someone) cannot be a godparent.
3. Be sixteen (16) years of age or older. 4. Must be a confirmed Catholic. 5. A baptized non Catholic may stand as a witness,
along with a confirmed Catholic.
