Body is slim, long, rounded and cylindrical.

The thighs are generally longer and stronger than in

Domesticated duck

Kept for its high level of egg production

Cross between Mallard, Rouen and Runner ducks

Produce 300 eggs annually

Chinese There are two colour varieties of this breed

- White Chinese

- Brown Chinese

Both originated in China

Laying as many as 50 eggs in a season

Head is rather large with a knob at the base of the

upper bill

Colour of the brown variety:

- Brown bill and eyes, orange legs

- Body feathers are brown and lighter on the

underside of the bird

Colour of the white variety:

- Bright orange bill and legs, brown eyes and

pure white body feathers
