About the Center關于本中心

Thompson Center for Business Case Studies of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) Business School aims to develop quality business cases written from an Asian perspective for the world, with a mission to promote the case study method of teaching and learning.

香港科技大學商學院康信商業案例研究中心旨在為世界研發從亞洲角度撰寫的優質商業案例，以促進案例研究的教與學為使命。

Founder and Director of both the Thompson Center for Business Case Studies and Tanoto Center for Asian Family Business and Entrepreneurship Studies, Adjunct Professor of Finance and Honorary Court Member at HKUST; Founding Chairman of the AAPBS Case Center.

Previously served as Non-executive Director of Orient Overseas International Limited and COO of Orient Overseas Holdings; President and CEO of Sa Sa International Holdings; Chairman of Pacific Coffee; Supervisory Board member of TNT Express; Honorary Consul for the Republic of Latvia in HKSAR; and Standing Committee Member of People’s Political Consultative Conference, Zhejiang Province.

Teaching and research interests: family businesses, family office, entrepreneurship, and governance.

香港科技大學康信商業案例研究中心與及陳江和亞洲家族企業與創業研究中心創始人兼主任、金融學系兼任教授及大學顧問委員會榮譽委員、亞太商學院聯會案例研究中心創始人兼委員會主席。

此前曾擔任東方海外(國際)有限公司非執行董事及東方海外實業董事總經理和營運總裁、莎莎國際控股總裁兼首席執行官、太平洋咖啡集團主席、TNT快遞監理會成員、拉維亞共和國駐香港特別行政區名譽領事以及浙江省政協常委。

Since the inception of the Center for Business Case Studies, HKUST is a founding host of the Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS) Case Center, with a mission to promote quality Asia-Pacific case studies among over 130 member schools mainly in the region. Currently chaired by Prof. Roger King, the Case Committee is the governing body of the AAPBS Case Center, steering its directions and strategic activities.

自香港科技大學商業案例研究中心成立以來，一直協助本大學成為亞太商學院聯會案例研究中心(AAPBS)的創始和主辦方，旨在推廣優質的亞太案例研究，惠及主要位處該地區130多所成員院校。 AAPBS案例委員會目前由金樂琦教授擔任主席，負責AAPBS案例中心管治，掌舵其方向及活動策略。

Case collection 案例庫Our case collection consists mainly of field cases contributed by HKUST's faculty members from various disciplines, each a leading expert in academia and/or industry. We also develop cases for joint programs such as the Kellogg-HKUST EMBA Program. Most cases are accompanied with teaching notes, and occasionally supplementary materials. Some cases are also available in Chinese. 本中心的案例庫以實地考察案例為主，涵蓋各商業學科。案例由本大學教授編撰，每位皆是學術界翹楚和行業領袖專家。我們亦為美國凱洛格管理學院-香港科技大學EMBA等不同院校的聯合課程研發案例。部份案例備附教學筆記、補充材料以至中文版本。

We contribute to various case competitions, including the HKUST’s signature International Case Competition (HKICC) and Global MBA Challenge, as well as the Asian Institute of Management’s Asian Family Business Case Competition, etc. 本中心案例用於各型案例競賽，包括本大學享譽盛名的香港科技大學國際案例分析比賽和全球MBA案例挑戰賽，以及亞洲管理研究所亞洲家族企業案例競賽等。
