From the HKOA calendar and the machinery, the council will set our targets and fix events for thisaccording to the normal Gregorian year.

All thing great is to look forward to the 2015 HKOA when we will be celebrating the 50 years anniversary ofour association. Our association started with our first president in 1965 by Professor AR Hodgson. He hasleft great legacy to our association and our locality from his endeavors in Orthopaedic Surgery. It is a timewe start recounting these great moments in Orthopaedics in the history of Orthopaedic surgery in HongKong to allow us to learn again how we had come about and ways to strengthen our association. Theinspiration that all the great Past Presidents had left us is their devotion and dedication to studyorthopaedic challenges in all things great and small to develop innovative treatment that made history.

The birth of our association almost 50 years ago must have the same intention as today of bringing all ourmembers together to allow collaboration of all our members. We must ensure that this is done with goodcommunications and participation of all our members. Only by this we can strengthen and consolidate ourassociation. The association had started the subspecialty funding education activities to achieve this goal. Iwould encourage all subspecialties chapters and members to make plan to run activities to bring all ourmembers to different activities for learning to make our association alive. The council will continue toconsolidate the function of the association to create environments to bring our members together be iteducational or social. I would like to call for your support of our association is that the first thing to do is tovisit our web site more frequently. Stay active and support your chapters and the association by activeparticipation of our future events.

I wish you all a Happy and Active Year of the Horse and Success all things Great and Small!
