4.1. Compulsory Subjects for All Streams English, MIL (Oriya / Hindi / Bengali / Telugu / Urdu / Persian/ Sanskrit / Alternative English), Environmental Education & Yoga

Arts History, Political Science, Logic, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Sociology, Geography, Education, Anthropology, Psychology, Home Science, Industrial Relation & Personal Management, Music (India), Information Technology, Language (Oriya / Hindi / Bengali / Telugu / Urdu / Persian / Sanskrit). Combination Restrictions in +2 Arts StreamA student shall opt four elective subjects with the following combination restrictions. a. More than one language subject is not allowed (Oriya/Hindi Bengali/ Telugu / Urdu / Persian / Sanskrit) b. Three practical subjects (Education/ Home Science/ Geography/ Psychology) cannot be taken together. c. Logic & Geography cannot be taken together. d. 5. Dos regarding filling up of CAF 5.1. In case of doubts, queries regarding the CAF, Admission process, etc applicants may contact the

Principals/Member of Admission Committee of the 60 colleges as per Annexure‐I. 5.2. Please stick to the time schedule and date‐lines which are to be followed rigorously.

6. Don’ts regarding filling up of CAF 6.1. Do not submit the CAF at more than one college otherwise your application may be rejected. 6.2. Do not submit the incomplete CAF. 6.3. Do not overwrite any information in the CAF. 6.4. Do not use separate CAF for each stream/college. If you want give more choices then please use

additional form and give your options in order of preference. 6.5. Do not put the CAF into an envelope while submitting by hand at the college counter. 6.6. Do not attach any Annexure or Prospectus along with the CAF while submitting the same. 6.7. Do not attach any documents other than those listed in clause no. 5.6 of Common Prospectus

while submitting the CAF. 6.8. Do not forget to receive the Money Receipt‐cum‐Index Number after submitting the CAF.

7. General Instructions 7.1. Applicants are requested to use the Money Receipt‐cum‐Index Number as reference for any

queries at College (Applied)/Toll Free Number (155335)/Website: (www.dheorissa.in). 7.2. English, Environmental Science & Yoga is compulsory for all streams. One has to put code for MIL

in the subject field in compulsory category from item No. 3 of this CAF Instruction Manual. 7.3. The CAF should be duly filled in legibly in the applicant’s own handwriting. 7.4. No. field of CAF should be left blank. ‘NA’ should be written against the column/box not

applicable. 7.5. CAF to be completed in all respect and should be deposited By Hand at any the 60 colleges

(Annexure‐I). 7.6. Other State Applicant (OSA) can send the CAF by post. The application should reach before the

due date‐line (9‐Jul‐09). 7.7. First option in additional form will be treated as preference no. 14 and so on. 7.8. Please tag both the main, additional (if used) & other document (Item No. 5.6 in common

prospectus) properly before submitting. 7.9. Original Money Receipt‐cum‐Index Number should be produced at the time of admission 7.10. Reservation & weightage shall not be considered without supporting documents (in original) at

the time of admission. 7.11. No seats shall be kept reserved for any category beyond the normal date of admission. 7.12. Total number of seats filled up with weightage under NCC/Sports/Scout & Guide/NSS shall be

limited to 10% of sanctioned strength in each class. 7.13. Information Technology (IT) being a self financed course involves additional cost. The cost varies

from college to college. 7.14. Certificates submitted in support of reservation and weightage will be sent IG, Crime Branch

Cuttack or the appropriate authority for scrutiny if necessary. 7.15. Suppression of facts or submission of incorrect information by the applicant, if detected at the

time of admission (Preliminary or Final) or thereafter will render the selection/admission invalid and the matter will be reported to the IG, Crime Branch, Cuttack for criminal proceeding.

7.16. No certificate will be entertained after the submission of the CAF. An applicant who does not enclose certified true copies of certificates in support of reservation and weightage with the CAF will not be entitled for the above purpose.

7.17. After admitting all eligible applicants for the reserved categories, the balance of reserved seats shall be filled up by candidates belonging to general category.
