01. Vorwort

Die Kamera läuft »auf schwebenden Füßen«.

Perfekte Filme – die lebendigen Bilder aus dem Fernsehen – wer wird nichtanimiert, es nachzumachen. Wer hat nicht schon nachgedacht, wie die Aufnahmenzustande kommen, in denen die Kamera durch den Raum zu gleiten scheint.

Irgendwann fühlt sich jeder bemüßigt, das einmal nachzuvollziehen. Also, Camcorderraus, Anti-Wackeleinrichtung rein und los geht’s – die Kamera durch’s Geschehenbewegen.

Doch das Ergebnis fällt enttäuschend aus. Die Aufnahmen können mit denen derProfis nicht im geringsten mithalten. Wo liegt der Unterschied?

Die Kamera bewegen

Eine Kamera ruhig zu bewegen, dafür gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten:

a) Mit großem Aufwand werden Schienen verlegt. Der Kameramann sitzt aufeinem Wagen (Dolly), mit dem er auf den Schienen geschoben wird. EinAufwand, der sich nur für eine teure Produktion bezahlt macht.

b) Eine relativ einfache Möglichkeit, die für leichte Kameras realisierbar ist: Die Kamera mit einem Balance System bewegen. Dabei wird die Kameraeinfach auf das Trimmsystem montiert und am Handgriff getragen. Verblüffendeinfach und sehr wirkungsvoll.

02. Technik allgemein

Ein sehr einfaches Mittel, die Kamera in derBalance zu führen, ist die Verwendung einesEinbeinstatives.

Die Kamera auf der Plattform montiert, dasganze vom Finger (wirkt als Gelenk) gestützt –am Ende des Einbeinstatives ein Gegen-gewicht.

Das ist die einfachste Form eines Schwebe-statives.

Wenn Sie jedoch Ansprüche für absolut ruhigeKamerafahrten haben, benötigen Sie einSystem mit mehr technischem Aufwand.

Das Produkt HandyMan ist speziell für dieseZwecke und höchste Ansprüche konstruiertworden.

03. Prinzip einesSchwebestatives

Die oben beschriebene Hilfskonstruktion Ein-beinstativ hat physikalisch folgenden Aufbau:

04. Konstruktionsbeschreibung des HandyMan

Die Kamera wird mit einem Schnell-verschluß auf der Kameraplatteeingerastet. Sie ist seitlich und inLängsrichtung verstellbar.

Über ein Kardangelenk ist dieKamera mit dem Handgriff verbun-den.

Durch das Gewicht der Kamerawürde nun diese über das Kardan-gelenk wegkippen. Um dieses Kipp-moment zu stabilisieren, ist einGegengewicht erforderlich. Dazu istam Ende des Rohrbügels das soge-nannte Trimmrohr mit dem Monitorbefestigt.

Um nun das exakte Gleichgewichteinzutrimmen, ist der Monitor in derHöhe stufenlos verstellbar.

Eine geniale Anordnung, um jedenTyp von Kamera exakt in die»Balance« zu trimmen.

05. Kamera

Der HandyMan ist universell für alle Kameratypen geeignet, unabhängig ob Video-System oder Film Super 8 /16 mm.

Die Frage »bis zu welchem Kameragewicht ist der HandyMan geeignet?«, könnenSie sich selbst beantworten.

Unsere Gegenfrage lautet: »Wieviel kg können Sie mit einer Hand freiarmig tragen?«

Das Gesamtgewicht des HandyMan-Systems besteht aus:

a) Kameragewicht

b) Leergewicht des HandyMan C (ca. 1 kg)

c) Trimmgewicht (ca. 30 % des Kameragewichtes)

Das Trimmgewicht ist das Gegengewicht zur Kamera, damit diese in einem stabilenGleichgewicht schwebt.

Es liegt also im Ermessen des Kameramannes, welches Gesamtgewicht er bewegenkann.

06. Kameragewicht

Um einen möglichst großen Spielraum von leichten und schweren Kameras abzu-decken, hat ABC Products verschiedene Typen des HandyMan im Lieferprogramm.

Alle Typen verfügen die gleichen Beschläge und das gleiche Zubehör.

Sie können also beliebig später Ihren HandyMan »abspecken« oder »aufrüsten«.Fragen Sie Ihren Händler nach Zubehör.

Wenn Sie mit Kameras unterschiedlicher Gewichtsklassen arbeiten wollen, bietetsich das HandyMan SET an.

07. Montieren der Kamera

Die Kamera wird so montiert, daß das Objektivin Richtung des gekrümmten Rohrbügelsschaut.

Montage:

Montieren Sie die Keilplatte mit einemSchraubenzieher oder einer Geldmünze an der

Kamera. Rasten Sie die Keilplatte in den Schnellverschluß ein.

Achtung wichtiger Hinweis:

Achten Sie darauf, daß der seitlich abstehende Verriegelungshebel des Schnell-verschlusses bis zum Anschlag gedrückt wird.

08. Schnellwechsel zum Stativ

Im Lieferumfang finden Sie einen zweiten Schnellverschluß. Montieren Sie diesenSchnellverschluß auf Ihr Stativ.

Zu diesem Zweck ist in der Mitte des Schnellverschlusses eine Mutter mit Foto-gewinde eingelassen.

Sie können nun blitzschnell vom HandyMan auf das Stativ wechseln.

09. Trimmen allgemein

Der HandyMan basiert auf dem System der Schwerpunktverlagerung.

Die Kamera ist kardanisch gelagert. Damit diese nicht seitlich abkippt, ist amunteren Teil des Bügels ein Gegengewicht angebracht.

Dieses Gegengewicht (= Trimmgewicht) stabilisiert die Kamera.

Das Ermitteln des Gegengewichts, das sogenannte Trimmen, beansprucht etwasGeduld. Nehmen Sie sich in Ruhe Zeit, um die optimale Trimmung zu finden.

Sie machen es für Ihre Kamera einmalig.

Um die Kamera in eine waagrechte Trimmposition zu trimmen, kann die Kameraplattein 2 Achsen stufenlos verstellt werden.

A. Seitliche Verschiebung

Lösen Sie beide Rändelmuttern auf der Unterseite. Die Kameraplatte kann nunseitlich verschoben werden.

Lösen Sie die Klemmschraube. Der Schnellverschluß für die Keilplatte kann nunstufenlos in Längsrichtung bewegt werden.

Achtung!

Ziehen Sie die Klemmschrauben mit Gefühl an. Die Klemmwirkung ist bereits beirelativ leichtem Druck enorm. Durch zu starkes Anziehen könnten Sie das innen-liegende Klemmfederblech deformieren.

Optimal getrimmt…

…heißt, der Schwerpunkt des Gesamtsystemssoll sich knapp unterhalb der kardanischenLagerung befinden.

Wenn Sie die Kamera mit dem Finger leichtantippen, geht diese mit 2 bis 3 Bewegungen indie Ausgangslage zurück.

Untertrimmung…

…heißt, der Schwerpunkt des Gesamtsystemsliegt einige Zentimeter unterhalb der Kardan-lagerung. Sie haben zuviel Trimmgewicht zu-geladen.

Wenn Sie die Kamera mit dem Finger leichtantippen, geht diese mit mehreren Pendel-bewegungen zurück. Sie werden also beimFilmen kein zufriedenstellendes Ergebnis er-reichen. Die Kamera kann nämlich leicht insPendeln kommen.

Sollten Sie mit der Kamera-Platte noch nicht die optimale Position gefunden haben,vergessen Sie nicht:

Durch die vorteilhafte Rundrohrkonstruktion des HandyMan können Sie auchdas Gegengewicht stufenlos in 3 Achsen verschieben und zwar:

a) in Längsachse

b) in Hochachse

c) in Drehachse

Durch diese Konstruktion haben Sie ein sehr flexibles System, so daß Sie IhreTrimmung sehr rasch ohne Zubehör verändern können, wenn Sie z. B. plötzlich dasGewicht Ihrer Kamera durch einen Weitwinkeladapter verändern.

10. Trimmen sehr leichter Kameras

Wenn Sie eine Kamera mit einem Gewicht unter1 kg oder die neuen Digitalkameras im Westen-taschen-Format mit ausklappbaren LCD-Monitor besitzen, haben Sie sich vermutlich fürden HandyMan 100 entschieden.

Manche Kameras sind so leicht, daß bereitsschon der Feintrimmer als Gegengewicht zuschwer ist (Kamera kommt schnell insPendeln). In diesem Fall empfehlen wir:

1. Ziehen Sie den Trimmstab ab.

2. Schieben Sie den Feintrimmer nun aufden Rohrbügel.

Durch Veränderung der Position finden Sie nunauch hier die optimale Trimmung.

11. Trimmen Standard Kameras (1 - 2 kg)

Sie haben sich eventuell für den HandyMan1000 entschieden.

Das Eintrimmen der Kamera erfolgt durchVeränderung der Position des Gegengewichts,dem Kontrollmonitor.

12. Trimmen schwerer Kameras (2 - 3 kg)

Um das etwas höhere Gewicht der Kameraauszugleichen, ist beim HandyMan 1000 C derTrimmstab aus Massiv-Eisen. Genaues Eintrim-men erfolgt ebenso durch Veränderung derPosition des Kontrollmonitors.

Die Tischklemme zum Abstellen der Kamera istbeim HandyMan 1000 C eine stabile Alu-Kon-struktion.

13. Trimmen sehr schwerer Kameras (über 3 kg)

Um Kameras in dieser Gewichtsklasse »schwe-bend« zu bewegen, haben Sie sich vermutlichfür das HandyMan SET entschieden.

Dazu ist in die Konstruktion ein Doppelhandgriffintegriert.

Ebenso kann am Trimmstab durch einenAdapter noch weiteres Gegengewicht montiertwerden.

Es steht als Zubehör zur Verfügung:

a) Langer Gewichtsstab (800 g)

b) Kurzer Gewichtsstab (400 g)

Je schwerer die Masse, die Sie bewegen, umso ruhiger werden die Bilder.

14. Praxis

Verwenden Sie grundsätzlich nur Optik in Weitwinkelstellung.

Einen noch besseren räumlichen Effekt erzielen Sie mit einem zusätzlichen vor-gesetzten Weitwinkel-Converter.

Es ist noch kein Meister vom Himmel gefallen. Erwarten Sie nicht, daß auf Anhiebperfekte Ergebnisse erzielt werden.

Der HandyMan ist ein Hilfsmittel, um ruhige Aufnahmen mit einer bewegten Kamerazu machen.

Beim Gehen, Laufen, Bücken, Treppensteigen, Radfahren usw. macht der Kamera-mann Bewegungen um das Handgelenk. Dieser Bewegungsablauf ist unwillkürlich,d. h. der Kameramann kann diese kaum verhindern.

Diese Störungen werden jedoch vom HandyMan absorbiert.

Nicht absorbiert werden Bewegungen, die der Oberkörper über den Arm auf denHandyMan überträgt. Aber diese Störung kann jedermann beherrschen lernen.Versuchen Sie also, bei den Kamerabewegungen Ihren gesamten Oberkörper ruhigzu halten.

Bewegen Sie sich so, als ob Sie ein volles Glas Wasser führen und keinen Tropfenüberschwappen wollen. Trainieren Sie diese »Gangart« bis Sie mit dem Resultatzufrieden sind.

Als Lernmotiv sind Hindernisse gut geeignet. Verteilen Sie einige Stühle im Zimmer.»Schweben« Sie mit der Kamera im Wechsel zwischen und über die Stühle.

Nach einer Einarbeitungszeit sind die Bilder schlicht und einfach phänomenal.

Die sanften Gleitbewegungen lassen die Bilder dreidimensional und lebendigerscheinen. Stellten Wackelbewegungen in der Kamera bisher Amateurniveau dar,wirken die Bewegungen mit einem Camera-Balance-System sanft und gewollt.

01. Presentation

The camera films while »floating«.

Would you be thrilled by the opportunity to achieve perfect filming, filming as perfectas the lively pictures you have seen on T.V.? Who has not asked himself how thesmooth filming, where the camera seems to be floating in the air, is done.

Sooner or later everyone who has an interest for filming feels attracted to the idea ofachieving high quality filming. Well, it cannot be simpler: take out your camcorder,attach it to the balancing system and off you go! …… start filming with yourperfectly balanced system.

The first time the results may be disappointing. The film has nothing in common withprofessional filming. The question which arises is: what do I do wrong?

Moving the camera

To move a camera smoothly there are 2 possibilities:

a) with great effort you lay the tracks for a dolly. The cameraman sits on the dolly,and moves along the tracks. This is a complication which is only justified for alucrative production.

b) A relatively easy possibility for light cameras is: you move the camera ona balance system. The camera is simply mounted on the balance system andcarried by holding the handle. Amazing and very effective.

02. General technicalinformation

A very simple way to balance a camera is byusing a single straight rod with a weight on theend of it.

The camera will be mounted on a platformand held upright with your fingers.

This is the simplest form of a balancing system.

If you require absolute smooth filming, then it isnecessary to have a slightly more sophisticatedsystem.

Our HandyMan product has been especiallydesigned for best performance.

04. Structure of HandyMan

The camera is attached to thesystem by use of a quick-release.This can be moved side-ways orback and forth.

The camera is connected to thehandgrip by use of a gimbal connec-tion.

Because of the weight of the camera,it will tip to one side. To stabilise thetipping it is necessary to have acounterweight. For this purpose youhave a so called trim-tube with amonitor attached to the curved tube.

To trim the exact counterweight, themonitor can be moved up or downon the trim tube.

An ingenious system which allowsperfect balancing of any kind ofcamera.

05. Camera

The HandyMan is designed for use with all camera types, whether video-cameras orSuper 8/16 mm film.

The answer to the question »what camera weight can I carry?« depends on thephysical condition of the cameraman.

The total weight of the HandyMan system is composed of:

a) Camera weight

b) Net weight of HandyMan (ca. 1 kg)

c) Trim weight (ca. 30 % of camera weight)

The trim weight is necessary to be able to perfectly balance the system.

06. Camera weight

In order to provide a system for as many types of cameras as possible,ABC Products has different types of HandyMan in its programme. However they areall part of a modular system. You can in fact take parts off the HandyMan or addother additional parts for use with your new cameras. Ask your dealer for theadditional parts.

07. Mounting the camera

The camera is mounted on the structure, sothat the lens looks in the direction of the bendin the main structure.

Assembly:

Mount the camera foot with a screwdriver or acoin onto the bottom side of the camera. Slipthe camera-foot into the quick-release.

Important:

Be careful, that the lever on the quick release is back in its original position as far aspossible. The lever holds the camera onto HandyMan.

08. Quick release for tripod

In the delivery you will find a second quick release. Mount the quick-release ontoyour tripod.

For this purpose there is a hole in the quick release, purposely made for screwingonto your tripod.

Now you can work with both: your HandyMan and your tripod.

09. Trimming – general instructions

HandyMan is based on the principle of counterbalancing the camera weight.

The camera has a gimbal connection. To avoid tilting of the camera, a counterweightis placed on the bottom part of the curved main structure.

This counterweight (trim-weight) stabilises the camera.

Finding the correct counterweight takes some time, the so called trimming processrequires some patience. Take your time in finding the perfect trimming.

You trim the system only once. To trim the camera into a perfectly horizontalposition, you can move the camera plate in two directions.

Loosen both tightening nuts underneath the camera-plate. You may now move theposition of the camera-plate.

Loosen the tightening screws at the side of the camera plate. The quick release forthe camera foot may now be moved backwards and forwards as required.

Important!

Tighten the screws carefully. The tightening effect of the screws is enormous evenwith a light turn. By tightening the screws too hard you may deform the innertightening system.

Perfectly trimmed…

…means that the gravity centre of the wholesystem must be slightly below the gimbal.

If you tip the camera slightly with your finger,the camera goes back to its original horizontalposition after 2 or 3 swings.

Out of trim…

…means that the centre of gravity is a fewcentimeters below the gimbal. You have toomuch counterweight.

When you tilt the camera with your finger, it willgo back to its original horizontal position onlyafter many swings. This will not allow you toachieve satisfactory filming. The camera willreact too sensitively to movement.

If you have not found the perfect position for filming, please do not forget:

Thanks to the round shape of the HandyMan structure you may also move thecounterweight in three directions:

a) in length

b) in height

c) around the trim-tube

Thanks to its structure, you have a very flexible system. You may change the trimmingvery quickly and without any additional parts. Adding a wide-angle adapter will causeno problems. You only need to trim the system to the new weight.

10. Trimming light cameras (below 1 kg)

If you have a camera with a weight below 1 kg(2 lbs.) or a new digital camera in pocket formatwith foldable LCD monitor, you have probablychosen the HandyMan 100.

Some cameras are so light, that the fine-trimmer is already too much weight (the cameraswings too much).

In such case we advise to:

1) take the trim-tube off the main structure.

2) slide the fine-trimmer onto the mainstructure. By changing its position you willalso find the perfectly balanced position.

11. Trimming standard weight cameras (1 to 2 kg)

You have selected HandyMan 1000. Trimmingthe camera is achieved by changing the posi-tion of the counterweight, the control-monitor.

12. Trimming heavycameras (2 to 3 kg)

To counterbalance the heavier weight of thecamera, the trim-tube is made of iron. Perfecttrimming is achieved by moving the position ofthe control monitor.

13. Trimming cameras over 3 kg weight

In order to move cameras of this kind smoothly,you have probably selected the HandyMan SET.

The structure is integrated with a double hand-grip.

By use of an adapter you can mount anadditional weight. In fact HandyMan SET alsocomprises:

a) long counterweight (800 g)

b) short counterweight (400 g)

The heavier the mass you are moving, thesmoother filming will be.

14. Using HandyMan

Only use wide-angle optics when working with HandyMan. You may achieve betterresults with an additional wide-angle converter.

Remember, you cannot expect perfection upon first use. You must train to useHandyMan.

HandyMan is an instrument designed to help achieve smooth filming duringmovement.

Walking, running, climbing up stairs, makes the cameraman shake the camera. Theshakes are difficult to control. HandyMan absorbs such shaking.

Shakes that are not absorbed are those transmitted from the cameraman’s arm to thecamera. Anyone can learn to control such disturbance. Try to keep your upper bodyrelaxed while filming.

Move as if you are carrying a full glass of water and do not want to spill a drop of it.Train such movement till you are happy with the result.

As learning exercise you may adopt artificial obstacles. Place a few chairs in a room.»Float« the camera between and over the chairs.

After training you will be able to achieve exceptional pictures.

The smooth movements allow you to achieve 3-dimensional and lively pictures.If movements were before sign of inexperience, now movement will add theprofessional touch to your pictures.

01. Préface

La caméra plane.

Qui ne sera pas animé à contrefaire, en voyant les images parfait à la télé? Qui n’apas encore réfléchi sur les prises de vues dans lesquelles la caméra semble deplaner dans l’espace?

En quelque temps que ce soit, chacun se voit contraint de faire autant. Alors sortez lecaméscope, mettez le en mode „anti-secousses“ et… voilà, le résultat est décevant.

Les prises de vues, comparées avec celles des profis, sont insuffisantes. Où est ladifférence?

Mouvoir la caméra

Pour mouvoir la caméra paisiblement, on a deux moyens.

a) Installer des rails. Le caméraman est assis sur un wagon (Dolly) remuable surces rails. C’est à dire, mener grand train, mais cela se calcul uniquement pourune production coûteuse.

b) Un moyen très simple: Mouvoir la caméra avec système d’arrimage. Vousinstallez la caméra dessus et avec la poignée vous mouvez votre caméra.Épatant simple, mais très efficace.

02. Technique générale

Un système très simple, pour arrimer lacaméra, c’est une barre utilisée commesupport.

La caméra est montée sur la plate forme, ledoigt remplace l’articulation, un contrepoids setrouve à bas.

C’est la forme la plus simple d’un trépiedsuspendu.

Si vous prétentez des prises de vuesabsolument calme, vous avez besoin d’unsystème téchnique plus approfondi.

Pour ces cas, et pour des prétentions plusgrandes,

le produit HandyMan est spécialementconstruit.

03. Principe d’untrépied suspendu

La construction décrite au-dessus, a unesuperstructure physicale suivante:

04. Description de la construction du HandyMan

La caméra est montée au moyend’un système d’attachement rapidesur la plate-forme, ajustable sur l’axelongitudinal et latéral.

Par une articulation à joint decardan, la caméra est branchée surla poignée.

Par suite de son poids, la caméraperd l’équilibre. Un contrepoids estnécessaire pour l’arrimage.

Pour ça on a attaché en bas de latube arqué, une barre d’arrimage quiporte le moniteur.

Pour arrimer la caméra, le moniteurest ajustable continûment dans l’axevertical.

Un arrangement génial pour arrimertout type de caméra en équilibreparfait.

05. Caméra

Le HandyMan est utilisable universellement pour toutes types de caméras.Camescopes ou film super 8/16.

La question du poids max. de la caméra montée sur le HandyMan, c’est unequestion de votre condition physique.

Quel est le poids, que vous pouvez porter avec une seule main?

Le poids total du système HandyMan:

a) Poids de la caméra

b) Le poids à vide du HandyMan C (env. 1 kg)

c) Poids d’arrimage (env. 30 % du poids de la caméra)

Le poids d’arrimage, c’est le contrepoids envers la caméra, jusqu’à la stabilisationde l’ensemble.

Alors le caméraman choisi le poids qu’il est capable de mouvoir.

06. Poids de la caméra

Avec son grand assortiment de types, ABC Products tient compte au différentespoids des caméras. Mais tous les types possédent de mêmes armatures etaccessoires.

Pour les accessoires, demandez votre distributeur.

07. Montage de la caméra

Dirigez l’objectiv de la caméra vers le sens dela courbe du tube arqué.

Montage:

Attachez la plaque trapézoïdale, avec untournevis ou une pièce de monnaie, à lacaméra.

Endiquetez la plaque dans la fermeture del’attachement rapide.

Attention, indication urgente!

Prenez soin, que le verrou soit fermé jusqu’au bout!!!

08. Changement rapide au trépied

Dans l’ensemble de livraison, se trouve un deuxième attachement rapide.

Montez ceci sur votre trépied, avec l’écrou qui se trouve au milieu de l’attachement.

Maintenant vous pouvez changer, en toute vitesse, du HandyMan au trépied.

09. Arrimage général

Le HandyMan base sur un système de déplacement du centre de gravité.

La caméra est positionnée au-dessus d’une articulation à joint de cardan. Pouréviter qu’elle perd l’équilibre un contrepoids est installé au bout du tube arqué.

Ce contrepoids stabilise la caméra.

L’arrimage vous demande un peu de patience. Prenez votre temps, pourl’équilibrage optimum.

Vous le faites q’une seule fois pour votre caméra.

Pour arrimer la caméra à l’horizontale, la plate-forme est ajustable continûmenten 2 axes.

A. Déplacement latéral.

Déliez les deux écrous en-dessous de la plate-forme. Maintenant vous pouvezdéplacer la caméra dans son sens latéral.

Déliez les vis de pressions. Maintenant l’attachement rapide pour la plaquetrapézoïdale est ajustable au sens longitudinal.

Attention!

Attierez les vis de pressions sensiblement. L’effet de ces vis est déja enorme avecune pression moyenne. Trop de pression pourait déformer la petite tôle élastique àl’intèrieur de l’attachement rapide.

Arrimage parfait…

…veut dire: Le centre de gravité

du système entier, se trouve juste en-dessousde l’articulation à joint de cardan.

Poussez la caméra avec votre doigt dans n’im-porte quel sens. Après 2 - 3 oscillations pendu-laires elle retourne dans sa position.

Arrimage non parfait…

…veut dire: Le centre de gravité du systèmeentier, se trouve quelques cm en-dessous del’articulation à joint de cardan.Vous avez tropde contrepoids.

Si vous poussez la caméra avec votre doigtdans n’importe quel sens, elle tombe enoscillations pendulaires incontrôlables. Le ré-sultat des prises de vues n’est pas satisfaisant.

Si la position optimale pour la plate-forme n’est pas encore trouvée, vous aveztoujours les moyens de corrections.

Par suite de la construction en tube du HandyMan, le contrepoids est ajustablecontinûment en 3 axes.

Par suite de cette construction, vous possédez un système très flexible. Parcompte, vous pouvez très vite modifier l`arrimage sans accessoires supplémentairesquand, …par exemple…, le poids de votre caméra c’est altéré puisque vous avezéchangé l’objectif.

10. Arrimage de caméras poids plumes

Si vous possédez une caméra inférieure de 1 kgou, un camescope „porte-poche“ avec un„moniteur-abattant“ intégré, vous vous avezprobablement décidé pour le HandyMan 100.

Quelques caméras son tellement légères, quel’ensemble de la barre d’arrimage, avecarrimeur-précision comme contrepoids, estdéjà trop lourd. (Elles tombent en oscillationspendu la i res ) . Dans ce cas nous vousrecommendons:

1. Enlevez la barre d’arrimage qui portel’arrimeur-précision.

2. Remontez l’arrimeur-précision sur le tubearqué.

Par changement de position, vous recevezmaintenant un arrimage optimum.

11. Arrimage des caméras standard (1 - 2 kg)

Vous vous avez décidé pour leHandyMan 1000

Vous arrimez votre caméra par changement dela position du contrepoids. Dans ce cas, dumoniteur.

12. Arrimage des caméras lourdes (2 - 3 kg)

Pour égaliser le poids plus lourd de la caméra,la barre d’arrimage du HandyMan 1000 C estentièrement en fer. Pour l’arrimage vouschangez également la position du moniteur.

La pince pour table du HandyMan 1000 C estune construction stable en aluminium.

13. Arrimage des caméras plus de 3 kg

Pour travailler avec une caméra de cettecatégorie, vous vous avez probablementdécidé pour le HandyMan SET.

Pour cela la construction pocéde d’unepoignée à double main.

En plus vous pouvez utiliser plus de contre-poids par moyen d’une adaption spéciale.

Accessoires à disposition:

a) porte-contrepoids long (800 g)

b) porte-contrepoids court (400 g)

Plus de poids que vous mouvez, plus detranquillité obtiennent vos prises de vues.

14. Pratique

Utilisez uniquement un objectif grand-angulaire.

Pour obtenir un effet encore plus spatial, vous placez devant vôtre objectif unconvertisseur grand-angulaire supplémentaire.

N’attendez pas, au premier coup, des résultats parfaits.

Le HandyMan est un moyen pour prendre paisiblement, avec la caméra enmouvement, des prises de vues.

En promenant, courant, baissant, montant l’escallier, allant à bicyclette etc., lecaméraman fait des mouvements au tour de son poignet. Ces mouvements sontinvolontaires c’est à dire le caméraman ne peut les éviter.

Ces dérangements seront absorbés par le HandyMan.

Les mouvements de vôtre haut du corps qui sont tranportés par le bras surle HandyMan ne seront pas obsorbés. Chacun peut apprendre à controler cesdérangements. Essayez donc, en mouvant la caméra, de tenir votre haut du corpstranquille.

Circulez avec un verre plein d’eau, sans renversez une goutte. Entraînez cettemanière de se promener afin que le résultat soit satisfaisant.

Comme exercice: placez quelques obstacles dans la pièce (p. ex. des chaises)et planez avec la caméra par dessus ou autour.

Après cet entraînement, les prises de vues sont phénoménaux.

Avec les mouvements paisibles, à cause du système de caméra en équilibre, lesimages semblent vivantes et à trois dimensions.

01. Presentazione

Con HandyMan filmate mentre la Vostra macchina da ripresa galleggia.

Non siete entusiasti dalla possibilitá di ottenere filmati di elevata qualitá, film vivicome quelli che avete visto in televisione? Non vi siete giá domandati come sonoottenuti dei filmati fluidi, senza movimenti bruschi come se la macchina stessegalleggiando nell’aria?

Prima o poi tutti quelli che si interessano di video sono attratti dall’idea di ottenerefilmati di elevata qualitá. Bene, non potrebbe essere piú semplice: prendete il vostroapparecchio video oppure la Vostra cinepresa, montatela sul Vostro HandyMane via! …… iniziate a riprendere con il vostro sitema in perfetto equilibrio.

Ricordatevi che ci vorrá un po’di pratica prima di ottenere i migliori risultati. Sei risultati non sono equivalenti a quelli delle riprese televisive, allora sorgerá naturalela domanda cosa faccio di errato?

Movimento su HandyMan.

Per muovere la Vostra macchina da ripresa in modo fluido ci sono 2 possibilitá:

a) Preparate un Dolly sugli appositi binari. Il cameraman siede sul dolly, e si muovecon la videocamera lungo i binari. è una complicazione giustificata solamenteda produzioni lucrative.

b) Un modo molto piú semplice: spostate la machina montata su un sistema dibilanciamento HandyMan. Tenendo HandyMan in mano potrete filmare inmodo professionale ed estremamante efficace senza grossi investimenti e com-plicazioni di altro tipo.

02. Informazioni tecniche

Un modo molto semplice per bilanciare unavideocamera o cinepresa é di collegarvi un asseverticale con dei pesi sull estremitá inferiore.

La videocamera rimarrá sulla sua piattaformae tenuta in posizione orizzontale con l’aiutodelle dita. Questo é un sitema di bilanciamentoprimitivo.

Se avete bisogno di effetuare filmati estrema-mente fluidi é necessario avere in dotazione unsistema un pó piú complesso.

Il nostro HandyMan é stato ideato per ottenerefilmati di elevata qualitá.

HandyMan ha la seguente struttura:

04. Struttura di HandyMan

La macchina viene montata suHandyMan utilizzando un quick-release.

Questo puó essere spostato lateral-mente oppure in avanti o indietro.

Il sistema é collegato alla manopolaattraverso un collegamento cardanico(gimbal).

Per via del peso della macchina ilsistema tenderá a pendere da unaparte.

Per equilibrare il sistema é necessarioavere un contrappeso. Per questoscopo abbiamo ideato il trim-tubecon monitor montato sulla strutturaprincipale curva.

Per equilibrare perfettamente il sistema,si sposta il monitor verso l’alto overso il basso sul trim-tube.

Un sistema ingenioso che permettedi equilibrare qualsiasi videocamera.

05. Videocamere e cineprese

HandyMan é progettato per l’utilizzo con tutti i tipi di macchine da ripresa, sia video-camere sia cineprese Super 8/16 mm.

Il peso che si puó portare a mano dipende dalle condizioni fisiche del cameraman.

Il peso totale del sistema HandyMan é composto da:

a) peso della macchina da ripresa (video o cine)

b) peso netto della HandyMan (ca. 1 kg)

c) peso per bilanciamento (circa 30 % del peso della videocamera/cinepresa)

Il peso per bilanciamento é necessario per trovare l’equilibrio perfetto della video-camera /cinepresa sul sistema HandyMan.

06. Peso della macchina

ABC Products ha ideato un sistema di bilanciamento modulare per l’uso con piú tipidi macchine da ripresa. Infatti se avete giá acquistato un modello adatto ad unparticolare peso di macchina da ripresa, é possibile aggiungere successivamentele parti necessarie per adattare il Vostro HandyMan ad una macchina da ripresacon peso diverso (superiore o inferiore). Chiedete al vostro rivenditore di fiduciainformazioni riguardanti la possibillitá di aggiungere o togliere parti per adattareHandyMan alle Vostre nuove esigenze.

07. Montaggio della macchinasu HandyMan

La macchina da ripresa viene montata sul sistemadi bilanciamento in modo che la lente sia indirezione della curva sulla struttura principale diHandyMan.

Assemblaggio:

Montate la staffa sulla base della Vostra video-camera o cinepresa con un cacciavite. Inseritela staffa nel quick-release.

N.B.:

Fate bene attenzione che la levetta del quick-release sia ritornata completamente nellasua posizione originale poiché questa sostiene la Vostra cinepresa /videocamera.

08. Quick release per stativo

Troverete all’interno della scatola di imballagio un secondo quick-release. Montate ilVostro secondo quick-release sullo stativo. Troverete un foro appositamente pensatoper avvitarlo sul Vostro stativo.

Ora potrete lavorare sia col HandyMan, sia col Vostro stativo.

09. Bilanciamento – istruzioni generali

HandyMan si basa sul principio dell’equilibrio della videocamera /cinepresa tramitel’uso di un contrappeso.

La videocamera ha un collegamento cardanico (gimbal). Per evitare che la video-camera /cinepresa si inclini da una parte, si monta un contrappeso sulla parteinferiore della struttura principale. Il contrappeso (trim-weight) stabilizza il sistema.Trovare il peso esatto per controbilanciare la Vostra videocamera richiede un pó dipazienza.

La prima volta che bilanciate il sistema dovrete infatti tenere conto che ci vuole unpó di tempo.

Per aiutare il bilanciamento é possibile muovere la macchina in due direzioni sul suopiano di appoggio.

A. Spostamento laterale della piattaforma

Allentate le due viti sotto alla piattaforma. Potrete ora cambiare la posizione dellapiattaforma in senso laterale.

B. Spostamento in avanti oppure indietro della macchina da ripresa

Allentate le viti a lato della piattaforma. Il quick release per la staffa puó ora venirspostata indietro oppure in avanti come desiderato.

Importante: stringete le viti con attenzione. L’effetto delle viti é molto grande anchecon un leggero giro. Potreste deformare gli appositi binari di fissaggio all’interno delquick-release.

Perfettamente bilanciato…

…significa che il centro di gravitá del sistemaintero é leggermente al di sotto del collega-mento cardanico (gimbal).

Se inclinate la camera leggermente con le dita,essa deve ritornare nella sua posizione originaledopo massimo due o tre oscillazioni moltolente. In tal caso avrete un sistema perfetta-mente equilibrato.

Non bilanciato…

…significa che il centro di gravitá é qualchecentimetro al di sotto del gimbal.

Avete troppo contrappeso.

Inclinando il sistema, esso ritornerá nella posi-zione originale solo dopo diverse oscillazioni.Questo non vi permetterá di ottenere filmatisoddisfacenti. La macchina da ripresa reagiráin modo troppo sensibile al movimento.

Se non avete ancora trovato la posizione perfetta per le riprese, ricordate che graziealla struttura tubolare di HandyMan potrete spostare il contrappeso in tre direzionidiverse:

a) in lunghezza

b) in altezza

c) intorno al trim-tube

Il Vostro sistema é estremamante adattabile. Potrete cambiare il bilanciamento moltovelocemente e senza parti aggiuntive. L’aggiunta di un adattatore per grandangolonon sará alcun problema. Dovrete solamente equilibrare il sistema con il nuovo peso.

10. Bilanciamento di machine leggere (meno di 1 kg)

Se avete una macchina con peso inferiore ad1 kg oppure una nuova macchina digitale informato pocket con monitor LCD, avrete certa-mente acquistato HandyMan 100.

Alcune videocamere sono talmente leggereche il fine-trimmer pesa troppo. In questi casiconsigliamo di:

1) togliere il trim-tube dalla strutturaprincipale.

2) posizionate il fine-trimmer direttamentesulla struttura principale. Spostandolotroverete la posizione di equilibrioperfetto.

Avete selezionato HandyMan 1000. L’equilibriodel sistema é ottenuto cambiando la posizionedel contrappeso, cioé del monitor.

12. Bilanciamento di machine pesanti (da 2 a 3 kg)

Per equilibrare macchine piú pesantiHandyMan 1000 C é dotato di un trim-tubeparticolarmente pesante. L’equilibrio perfetto éottenuto anche in questo caso tramite lospostamento del monitor verso l’alto oppureverso il basso.

13. Bilanciamento di macchine di peso oltre 3 kg

Per spostare macchine di questo peso in modofluido, avete probabilmente acquistato unHandyMan SET.

La struttura é completa di maniglia doppia perfacilitarne l’uso.

Utilizzando un adattatore potrete aggiungeredei pesi. Infatti HandyMan SET comprende:

a) un contrappeso aggiuntivo lungo (800 g)

b) un contrappeso aggiuntivo corto (400 g)

Vale la seguente regla: piú pesante é la massa,piú fluida sará la ripresa.

14. Utilizzo di HandyMan

Utilizzate solo ottiche grandangolari quando lavorate con HandyMan. Potreteottenere risultati ancora migliori con un adattatore addizionale per grandangolo.

Ricordate che non é possibile ottenere risultati perfetti la prima volta. Avrete bisognodi un po’di esercizio.

HandyMan é uno strumento progettato per ottenere riprese fluide durante il movimento.

Riprendere mentre si cammina, si corre, si sale dalle scale é impossibile senza unsistema di bilanciamento, la macchina registra le scosse. HandyMan assorbe lescosse.

Le scosse non assorbite sono quelle trasmesse dal braccio del cameramann allamacchina da ripresa. Chiunque puó imparare ad assorbire tali scosse. Cercate ditenere il Vostro corpo perfettamente rilassato.

Muovetevi come se steste portando in mano un bichiere pieno d’ acqua evitandodi versarne una goccia. Esercitatevi finché non vi muovete in modo sicuro. Peresercitarvi potete utilizzare ostacoli artificiali. Piazzate per esempio delle sedie inordine sparso in una stanza. Fate »galleggiare« il sistema tra e oltre gli ostacoli.

Dopo esservi esercitati potrete ottenere delle immagini tridimensionali e vive. Sesenza HandyMan i movimenti erano segno di inesperienza, ora il movimento donaun tocco professionale alle Vostre immagini.
