The unit combines advanced technology of low noise fan, efficient aircondition manufacturing process and ingenious coil and fin design. Based on 42CT/CM FCU, 42CE hasbeen developed to be an ultra-tranquil, high efficiency and easy to install fan coil unit.

Universal ApplicationCarrier 42CE is a versatile ductable chilled water fan coilunit, suitable for applications in buildings, shopping arcades,hotels, hospitals and schools.

Ultra-tranquilThe units use the latest wide wheel width designand low speed forward-curved blades.‧ Punch-to-shape metallic fan wheel integral

welding, durable & ultra tranquil.‧ Three wheel widths to match different air flow

requirement, maintaining noise level at its minimum.‧ Fibreglass insulation is carefully selected for further

noise reduction.

Strong and DurableStamped rib on scroll to provide strong mechanicalstructure preventing vibration and noise transmission.

High efficiencyAluminum lanced sine wave fin coils with foldedcollar is mechanically bonded onto copper tubing toassure efficient heat transfer between chilled water andsupply air.

Ultra ThinWith no compromise in performance, the unit height is only220mm which saves installation space and meets all kinds of installationrequirement.

Safe and ReliableWiring of motor is concealed in flexible metal conduit to enhance safetiness and reliability.

Drain Pan SelectionTo meet specifics and limitations of installation, Carrier offers drain pans of different length:‧ Standard drain pan – reduce the installation space, especially suitable for narrow installation space.‧ Long drain pan – extended length to collect possible sweating from field installed valve accessories.

多元化應用開利42CE乃藏天花隱蔽式盤管風機，用途廣泛，適合大廈、商場、酒店、醫院及學校使用。

超寧靜機組採用最新設計寬葉輪及低轉速前向多翼葉輪。‧一次衝壓成型金屬葉輪，整體焊接，堅固耐用，特別靈靜。‧ 三種寬度葉輪可供選擇，滿足不同風量要求，並使運作聲量降至最低。‧ 經細心挑選之玻璃纖維保溫材料，有效進一步降低運作聲量。

堅固耐用風機外殼設置加強凸筋，提高風機外殼結構強度，大大減低震盪和嘈音。

超高效率寬翅片二道翻邊結構，使銅管與鋁片達到最佳接蝕，寬縫翅片亦為充份換熱提供了最理想的傳熱流道。

超纖型設計42CE冷量充足機身高度僅220mm，設計小巧省地方，滿足各種環境的安裝需求。

安全可靠電機接線改為金屬軟套管，確保安全可靠。

水盤靈活選配考慮到安裝工地各有其特殊性及場地限制，開利特別提供不

同長度水盤以供客戶選擇：‧ 標準水盤－使安裝位置狹小，特別適用於安裝空間狹小的場所。

‧ 加長水盤－能更佳接存閥門漏水和凝露水。

Chilled Water Fan Coil Unit – Horizontal ModelSize Range: 200 to 1600 Nominal Cfm

SYSTEM DESCRIPTIONHorizontal, 2 rows or 3 rows cooling with optional 1 row heating, room fan coil unit with furred-in, aboveceiling for ducting installations.

DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLINGEach unit shall be individually packaged from point of manufacture. Unit shall be handled and stored inaccordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

EQUIPMENTA. General:

Factory-assembled, horizontal, blow-thru type fan coil for furred-in ducted installations. Unit shall becompleted with water coil(s), fan(s), motor(s), drain pan, and all required wiring, piping, controls andspecial features.

B. 42CE Base Unit:1. Casing shall be galvanized steel, lined on the inside with 13mm (1/2 in.) thick fiberglass insulation,

with a 19mm long collar for supply duct connection.2. The drain pan shall be constructed of galvanized steel or optional class SUS304 stainless steel

extending the entire length and width of the coil(s) and stamped to shape from one piece withoutany seam or welding at folding corner edges. The brim shall be curved to collect condensationdroplets from unit casing. The complete external surface of the drain pan shall be insulated withclass “O” fire-retardant closed cell PVC insulation.

C. Return Plenum Option:The return plenum shall be bottom or rear air return, shall enclose the fan/motor assemblies, and shallbe lined with 13mm fiberglass insulation. Unit shall have a removable panel to provide access to fan/motor assemblies.

D. Fans:Direct-driven, double-width fan wheels with forward-curved blades shall be statically and dynamicallybalanced. Scrolls shall be constructed of galvanized steel with at least two folded ribs along its rearshell for added strength. Clear indication shall be included at its sides to show fan-rotating direction.Fan wheels shall be of minimum 140 mm diameter and constructed of galvanized steel.

E. Coils:Standard base unit shall be equipped with a 3-row coil for installation in a 2-pipe system, 2row coildepth may be used where cooling load requirement are less. Additional 1-row heating coil shall beused for installation in a 4-pipe system. Coils shall have copper tubes, aluminum fins bonded to thetubes by mechanical expansion, and a working pressure of 1800 kPa. Each coil shall have a manual airvent.

F. Electrical Requirements:Standard unit shall operate on 220 v, single-phase, 50 Hz electric power. All internal wiring shall be inmetal flexible conduit.

G. Motor(s):Fan motors shall be 3-speed, 220 v, single-phase, 50 Hz, permanent split capacitor type, with NSK ballbearings and lubricated for life. All external wirings and capacitor shall be concealed in metal casingor harness.
