Here’s How It Works:

n Stage 1 - Organizational Assessment: CBIZ consultants begin with a brief survey to determine the current state of an employer’s existing health and productivity initiatives. The organization’s commitment to pursuing lower health care costs and improving employee health status, the presence of existing health and productivity programs, and previous experiences and benefits — all are quantified to create a baseline for future efforts.

n Stage 2 - Data Analysis: We next

examine a range of data sets, including demographic information, health risk assessments and claims histories, to develop a clear understanding of the factors that may be influencing health care spending. Basically, CBIZ looks at how and where costs are being generated. This detailed review of your current situation allows us to develop a customized strategy.

n Stage 3 - Benefit Analysis: Once the data analysis is complete, we’re able to develop specific, targeted recommendations regarding interventions and the anticipated benefits to the company. This process provides a clear road map for moving forward with the design and implementation of a program that will yield measurable return on investment.

n Stage 4 - Benefit Design: A key component of our health and productivity approach is the development of a value-based benefit design that creates incentives for healthy lifestyle choices and disincentives for nonengagement. In conjunction with this process, we analyze existing offerings from multiple vendors to determine the plans and tools that most effectively match the company’s needs.

n Stage 5 - Implementation: A strategic health and productivity plan is codeveloped with the employer to delineate timelines and educational and communication goals. Components can include biometric screening, chronic disease management, health coaching and a host of other enterprise-wide wellness initiatives designed to encourage employee engagement and reduce unnecessary expenditures.

n Stage 6 - Review and Refinement: Periodic, ongoing reviews of employee health are used to assess progress toward goals and to allow for course corrections as the initiative matures.
