    1. Tm tt Ti liu ny a ra cc yu cu v quy trnh o tng ng gip xc nh s sn sng ca MEN trong vic pht cc dch v Ethernet khc nhau, nh Ethernet Line (E-Line) v Ethernet LAN (E-LAN). Ti liu ny da trn MEF 9 [10].Cc yu cu c ly t cc ti liu ca U ban k thut ca din n Metro Ethernet MEF 10 (chuyn 5).

    A Service Frame that is used for Layer 2 control, e.g., Spanning Tree Protocol.

    Layer 2 Control protocol Tunneling

    The process by which a Layer 2 Control protocol Service Frame is passed through the Service Provider network without being processed and delivered unchanged to the proper UNI(s).

    MEN Metro Ethernet Network Multicast Service Frame

    A Service Frame that has a multicast destination MAC address.

    Multipoint-to-Multipoint EVC

    An EVC with two or more UNIs.

    Point-to-Point EVC An EVC with exactly 2 UNIs. Service Frame An Ethernet frame transmitted across the UNI toward the Service Provider

    or an Ethernet frame transmitted across the UNI toward the Subscriber. Service Multiplexing A UNI service attribute in which the UNI can be in more than one EVC

    instance. Service Provider The organization providing Ethernet Service(s). Subscriber The organization purchasing and/or using Ethernet Services. Tester Special equipment used to generate and monitor traffic for verification

    purposes. UNI User Network Interface Unicast Service Frame A Service Frame that has a unicast destination MAC address. User Network Interface The physical demarcation point between the responsibility of the Service

    Provider and the responsibility of the Subscriber.

    3. Mc ch Ti liu ny a ra cc yu cu v cc quy trnh o tng ng nhm xc nh phm cht ca MEN trong vic pht cc dch v, nh E-Line v E-LAN nh c nh ngha bi Din n Metro Ethernet. Cc php o ny c nh ngha t kha cnh thit b khch hng c s dng truy nhp dch v. C 3 mc ch ca cc nh ngha php o. Mc ch th nht l cng cp cc quy trnh o cho khch hng, gip h m bo s tch hp thnh cng ca cc dch v Ethernet vo ton b c s h tng mng ca h. Mc ch th hai l cung cp cc nh ngha bi o cho cc nh cung cp host, chuyn mch v router, cho php h m bo rng cc thit b ca h c th c s dng trong MEN khch hng c th truy nhp thnh cng ti cc dch v Ethernet. Mc ch th ba l cung cp cho cc nh cung cp dch v mt b bi o cho php h xc nh c kh nng ca MEN trong vic p ng tun th ca cc dch v Ethernet vi cc ch tiu k thut ca din n Metro Ethernet Forum. Cc yu cu c nh ngha trong ti liu ny c da trn phn 6 v 7 ca ti liu v [M hnh dch v Ethernet] ca U ban k thut ca din n Metro Ethernet. Cc yu cu v quy trnh o nhm nh phm cht s sn sng ca MEN trong vic h tr thm cc dch v, cc thuc tnh v cc tham s s c nh ngha trong cc sa i tip theo.

    Ti liu ny khng a ra cc phng php o hoc gim st cc ch tiu lp dch v (SLS) nhng li a ra cc quy trnh o xc nh s sn sng ca MEN trong vic pht cc SLS khc nhau c ch ra trong [Cc tham s hiu nng v lu lng i vi cc ch tiu mc dch v Ethernet]. Ti liu ny khng nh ngha li cc thng s hoc cc php o c m t trong cc ti liu tiu chun c a ra bi cc nhm nh Nhm lm vic v phng php lun chun (BMWG) ca (IETF), tuy nhin cc thng s c s dng trong ti liu ny u tun theo cc nh ngha ca BMWG.

    Cc ch tiu k thut trin khai nm ngoi phm vi ca ti liu ny. Trong tng lai ti liu ny c th c cp nht thm nhm phn nh cc hot ng mi ca U ban k thut MEF.

    4. Cc mc tun th Cc t PHI, KHNG C, C YU CU, S, S KHNG, NN, KHNG NN, C KHUYN NGH, C TH, v KHNG BT BUC trong ti liu ny c nhc li nh trong RFC 2119. Tt c cc t ny c trnh by di dng ch hoa nt m.

    5. Gii thiu Ti liu ny m t cc yu cu v cc quy trnh o tng ng s c s dng khi kim tra kh nng ca MEN trong vic pht cc dch v Ethernet, nh E-Line v E-LAN c nh ngha trong [nh ngha cc dch v Ethernet]. Cc nh cung cp mng c th tham kho cc yu cu v cc quy trnh o ny trong qu trnh pht trin v thng mi ho cc sn phm ca h, cc nh khai thc c th s dng ti liu ny m bo rng cc thit b ca cc h thng m h la chn trin khai vo MEN s pht thnh cng cc dch v Ethernet v khch hng c th tham gia vo MEN bit rng cc dch v Ethernet m h la chn tho mn ch tiu trn c s cc yu cu v quy trnh o c chp nhn.

    Phn nh ngha cc yu cu m mt MEN phi tho mn pht c cc dch v Metro Ethernet hon ton c da trn cc ti liu MEF 1 [M hnh dch v Ethernet], [Cc nh ngha dch v Ethernet] v [Cc nh ngha hiu nng v lu lng] ca U ban k thut ca Din n Metro Ethernet. Khun kh nh ngha dch v Ethernet c thit lp bi Din n Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) nhm cung cp cc tham s v thuc tnh dch v thit lp mt dch v Ethernet.     Cc loi ch tiu khc nhau c th c s dng thit lp cc yu cu m mt MEN phi tho mn trong vic pht cc dch v Ethernet. Ti liu ny tham chiu n 4 ch tiu v: chc nng, tun th, s tng thch v hiu nng.

    Ch tiu v chc nng: MEN s phi tho mn ch tiu no v chc nng, m mt s ch tiu trong c th khng quan trng trong khi cc ch tiu khc li rt hu ch cho cng tc o kim. Phn sau s a ra mt v d trong MEN s lc ng cc BPDU (Cc khi d liu giao thc bc cu) khi c cu hnh lm vic .

    Ch tiu v tun th: MEN cn phi tho mn ch tiu xc nh v tnh tun th. V d, MEN KHNG C pht cc khung ti UNI m chng xut pht

    Ch tiu v tng thch: Mt ch tiu na m MEN phi tho mn l tnh tng thch. V d, mt thit b phi c kh nng tham d vo cng mt mng MEN vi thit b ca nh cung cp khc, hay tng qut hn l cc nh cung cp khc.

    Ch tiu v hiu nng: MEN cn phi p ng ch tiu v hiu nng. V d, kh nng chuyn tip thnh cng mt t l phn trm cc khung no m khng b mt mt.

    Cc kt qu o v chc nng, tnh tun th v tnh tng thch thng c th hin di dng t hoc khng t, cn cc kt qu o v hiu nng nhn chung c th hin di dng s khung, v d s cc khung b mt, hay thi gian, v d thi gian ph hi trung bnh theo n v ms, v tc , v d tc pht khung trn giy.

    Cc kin trc dch v c bn c nh ngha trong [M hnh dch v Ethernet] l cc loi dch v Ethernet. Cc kin trc ny u c 2 loi thuc tnh dch v lin quan n chng, cc thuc tnh ny li lin quan n UNI, v cc thuc tnh ny cng lin quan n EVC. [M hnh dch v Ethernet] cn nh ngha loi cc gi tr tham s lin quan n tng thuc tnh dch v.
