We took a ferry to Brittany in France. I wasn’t well on the boat. I was seasick. We reached Brittany at 6pm. We are camping in St Malo – a beautiful little town. I’m in a tent with Lisa and Catherine. We went to a restaurant for dinner. I had chicken and chips and I drank apple juice. It was good. What a long journey! I’m really tired.

Saturday 7th July

I’m in Cairinish in North Uist, staying with my grandfather and granny.

I took the ferry to Lochmaddy at 10am. I had a big breakfast on the boat – sausages, egg, bacon, black pudding and toast and I drank milk. I read a book and I listened to music on my i-Pod too.

The boat reached Lochmaddy at quarter to twelve. My grandfather was at the pier and we drove to Cairinish. We didn’t do much this afternoon. I was working on the croft with my grandfather. We had dinner at 6 o’clock – meat, potatoes, carrots and apple pie with cream. Yum, yum! My granny is really good at cooking. I’m going to bed now. It’s 10 o’clock. We will be going to church tomorrow. The fèis starts on Monday.

Saturday 24th March

I’m in Canada!

We left Glasgow at half past nine in the morning. We took a plane to Nova Scotia. I watched a film on the plane and played computer games. We reached Cape Breton in Nova Scotia at 5pm. It’s cold! We are staying in a hotel in Ben Eoin – a beautiful little town. They speak French and Gaelic here. We went to a restaurant and I spoke Gaelic to the waiter. I had soup and steak and chips. I was very full. Oh, I’m tired but I’m happy. I’ll be skiing tomorrow. What fun!

Saturday 31 March

I’m in England.

We left Fort William at 9am and drove to England. We stopped in Glasgow and had food. I had soup and a cheese and ham sandwich. We reached Center Parcs at 4.30pm. We are staying in a lodge and it’s really nice. Center Parcs is big. There’s a swimming pool, restaurants, sports hall, shops and a cinema here. We weren’t doing much tonight. Tomorrow, we will be swimming and playing tennis.

Good night
