jobs, such as Commercial Driver's License,Lead Abatement, and Asbestos training orcertications.

Training

Albany Community Action Partnership (ACAP)in Albany will enhance its existing workforce

and to give staoccupational skills neededin the early childhood education and humanservice sectors that will lead to potential careergrowth and higher wages. Assistant Teachersin ACAP's Head Start program will need toobtain their Child Development Associate (CDA)credential by the federally-stipulated deadlineof September 2013. ACAP will oer its familydevelopment and employment specialiststathe opportunity to obtain the FamilyDevelopment Credential (FDC) to upgradetheir skills while working with low-incomecustomers/families. Expected goals include: 17Assistant Teachers and 15 Family DevelopmentSpecialists will receive training to obtain theirFDC to meet an ACAP employment goal and toupgrade their skill levels.
