• Subject = person
• Subject pronouns: I, you, he, she, we, they
I = yo
You = tú
He = él She = ella
You (formal) = Usted
We = nosotros nosotras
They = ellos They (all girls) = ellas You all = Ustedes

• Yo is used to refer to yourself (I) • Tú is used to refer to you (informal) when you are talking to a person about your age or younger
• Él is used to refer he when talking about someone else • Ella is used to refer to she when talking about someone else • Usted is used to refer to you (formal) when you are talking to an older person or person you are not familiar with
• Nosotros is used to refer to we with a group of all males or a mixture of males and females • Nosotras is used to refer to we with a group of all girls
• Ellos is used to refer to they with a group of males or a mixture of males and females • Ellas is used to refer to they with a group of girls • Ustedes is used to refer to you all when talking directly to a group of people
