Once the invoice is signed by the consulate of the importing country, the exporter is reasonably assured that there are no import restrictions placed on his exports in the importing country & that there will be no problem in realization of foreign exchange or export proceeds
It ensures prompt clearance of goods from his customs for the purpose of loading on the ship
It enables him to get prompt delivery of goods from the customs
The customs normally do not open the packages, thereby, saving a lot of efforts on the part of the importer
