Ambe ingat ben la dgn 'Che Omar - the freelance writer' tu . His

'graffiti' could be seen almost at every corner within the Tanjong - Kolam

- Ladang - Paya Bunga - Keadai Payang areas . Almost all the walls of

abandoned old buildings including 'the jambang' had become his ideal

facebook . His constant figures in his works were : '$$$' and 'LAWS ???'

Never found any foul language or dirty pics ! Until now I just come to

realize that within him there had been a very beautiful mind indeed.

A good day for the book to make its debut - 23 April - my birthday. Ha

ha..

Best of luck. Hopefully it will be a hit just like GUiT - if not better.

However, as in any other business, promotions & advertisements are

important to ensure it is well received by the public. Collaboration with

the Terengganu State government, Tourism authorities etc will be

useful.

Sadly you could not launch your book at your favourite bookshop - Keda

Pok Loh Yunang (original location is no longer in existence) like GUiT.

I attended the 25 December 2007 lauching with my family, got my copy

autographed by you & the photo of me & family getting the autograph

appeared in one of the national newspaper.

lama sangat menunggu kita menjadi penunggu.

Pelf:The poster's the work of my publisher Monsoon books; the book

cover's by our talented designer Sinead who lives in Ireland. Sinead also

designed the cover of GUiT.

Anonymous [Tok Dr]: The cover of GUiT was a scene from Marang. Iam told by someone who used to live near the house that it is now all

gone. All washed away by the tide.

I'm not sure where AMoT's cover picture was taken. What makes you

think that it is Setiu?

Liyas: The book will hit the shops end of April (I hope). Thank you for

buying GUiT. I hope this new one will be useful to you.

Cat-in-Sydney: Kerepok lekor is fine though I can't say that the one fried

by those roadside fryers in Kuala Lumpur is genuine. Kopi is not my

drink, but teh misai kucing will be fine.

Anonymous [Ajidul]:You're quite right. A 'mad' man could express

himself better in those days than those of the present generation who

have to resort to f**k everytime they feel a need for self-expression. Che

Omar was a court interpreter in Kemaman before he became a graffiti

artist but little is known about his wife Che Puan.

Zulomar : Terima kasih Sdr. And a very happy birthday to us. And thank

you for your best wishes and good advice. I am very sad of course that

our Keda Pok Loh Yunang is gone.

Yes I do remember you and family waiting there early morning. It'll be

nice to be able to visit all those little bookshops in all the small towns,

but time and money are the constraints. My thanks to the Zulomar

family, may your tribe increase. And thank you once again.

Cucu Pok Loh Standok: Unfortunately the kulit kerah edition isn't

available. Only the limp edition (as they used to say) will be in the

shops. If you write in to the publishers asking for the hardcover

collector's edition, perhaps they'll listen.
