Design and Application of New Imidazolylsulfonate-Based Benzyne Precursor: An Efficient Triflate Alternative. — Sulfonylimidazole-based benzyne precursors are utilized in the reactions with azides to form benzotriazoles, with tosyl hydrazone to form indazoles, with β-ketoesters to form acyl alkylation products or with furans or pyr-roles to form bridged compounds.
