China: Toward Improved Health Care and Health Facilities in the Future世界医疗建筑系列中国专题:展望医疗健康事业的前景

BackgroundChina’s population is estimated at approaching 1. 4 billion people in 2011. Along with a growing aging population, a large rural to urban migration, and a grow-

ing economy - the needs and expectations for appropriate and accessible quality health and hospital facilities in China are skyrocketing.

The Fall 2011 “Architecture for Health” Visiting Lecture Series will focus on China.

Leading experts from China as well as others who have had signi!cant experi-ence in completing successful projects in China, will share their knowledge and

expertise during this semester long series on most Wednesdays at 11:30 am in the Wright Gallery.
