this line does not have any synchronous king.and it ends abrubtly..supposedly this line continued even in vaivasvat manvantara
C3
he also had 3 more sons, uttam, tamas and raivata who became the 3rd, 4th and 5th manus
B4
he is the only manu who does not belong to the family of vaivasvat manu. He belongs to the family of agni who was his father and his mother was swaha
B5
uttam, tamas and raivat manu were brothers.
C6
he also had a son called kikata from whom the kikatas have descended and ruled in bihar.
C7
he became a rishi…9th division of jambudwipa was named bharat varsha on his name..

contemporary with vaivasvat manu since he married off his daughter to vaivasvat manu. But if we list down kings one after another, tvashta might come 3 generations after vaivasvat manu. This can be explained by the time of ruling of each king. Most probably the kings in priyavrata line would have ruled for less duration and hence more kings existed in a time when relatively less amount of kings existed in other families.
B21
he married the daughter of tvashta of priyavrata family.explanation for why tvashta is 3 generations after him is given in the cell for tvashta C27

G89
after vrishni, the whole genealogy is thoroughly confused..many names reappear again..so I put '?' and only gave names which i am quite sure of.. A side genealogy is important. Vrishni-> sumitra->shini->satyaka->yuyudhana-> ASANGA. This asanga had given grants to medhatithi kanva.

SYNCHRONISMS marutta adopted dushyant as his descendant and turvasu dynasty ended but some turvasus went south to establish pandya, chola, kerala kingdoms
J57
SYNCHRONISMS By putting Haryashva and Vitahavya as contemporaries, we got divodasa 2 as the grandson of haryashva and bharadvaja barhaspatya just one generation above him in the paurava dynasty. This perfectly confirms the story that an exiled divodasa-2 got his son trained against the vitahavyas or haiheyas by bharadvaja barhaspatya
J59
he had some brahmin sons namely garga, nara, rijasvan, etc. they became the composers of rigveda.
J60
he had a son named suhotra and sunahotra.

SYNCHRONISMS there was one shudra rishi called kavasha ailusha ( Ait brahm 2.3.19) who had faught against sudas. He was old then,so he must be one generation before sudas. His son tura kavasheya had crowned janmajeya 2 as a king ( Ait brahm 7.5.34). It perfectly tallies with our genealogy.

K78
north panchala dynasty declined after sudas and hence the purans record that genealogy only till jantu, sudas' great grandson..the middle names are lost..the dynasty again came into notice directly in the mahabharata era when dronacharya conquered king prushata who was the father of draupadi.so from jantu to prushat, names are missing.

divodasa of N panchal had a twin sister called Ahalya who was married to Gotama. The family line of hardly 4 generations is given but the last generation directly goes upto Mahabharat era. SO the in-between generations are not given as their placing is unkown. Gotama Rahugana- RV(1.74-93 & 9.31) Priyamedha angiras was a contemporary of divodasa atithigva as priyamedha mentions him in RV(8.68,15-18) Also priyamedha is a joint composer of RV(8.87) along with Krishna Angiras and Dyumnika vAsishtha. So even they become contemporaries.
B72
sindhukshit is the son of priyamedha angiras. The composer of RV(10.75) Vishvak karshni is the son of krishna angiras and is a joint composer with krisha angiras of the the hymn Rv(8.86)
B73
Gargya had cursed the paurava king Janmajeya 2 for injuring his son Mbh(12.150) Vyashva and his son vishvamanas are composers of RV (8.23-26). In RV(8.9.10) shashakarna kanva mentions vyashva in the past tense i.e vyashva existed before shashakarna.
B74
his exact position cannot be fixed but is after divodasa of N panchal since he mentions divodasa in RV(9.61.2)
B76
his position is also uncertain but he mentions sudas of N panchala in RV(1.63.7) so he is after sudas.. Nodhas Gautama has composed RV(1.58-64 & 8.88 & 9.93)
B77
RV (4.15) says that Somaka, the N panchal king had donated horses to Vamdeva Gautama. Whole of Mandala 4 is ascribed to him. in RV(4.15) he mentions sahadeva somaka, king of N panchala.
B78
again ekadyu's position is uncertain but is certainly after nodhas, his father. Composer of RV(8.80) Uru angiras is the co-composer of RV(9.108) along with Rijasvan, shakti and gauriviti
B79
sons of vamdeva gautama. Murdhanvan-RV(10.88) amhomuk - RV(10.126) brihaduktha- RV(10.54-56)
B80

they are angirases. Shata Vaikhanasa- RV(9.66) and Vamra Vaikhanasa- RV(10.99) Vamra mentions rijasvan in RV(10.99.11) and hence ahs to be after him. His exact position is unknown but it is enough to place him after rijasvan which will classify him as a late rishi which is a typical characteristic of the 10th mandala which has verses of later rishis
B82
composer of RV(8.70) he is also called a vaikhanasa in panchavimsa brahmana (14.9.29) like vamra and shata and hence is placed here just after vaikhanasas. Savya Angiras mentions indra's killing of shambar to save atithigva or divodasa of N panchala. Although his exact position cannot be fixed, but he is surely after divodasa, this much is enough to decide the chronology of mandalas. he also mentions Rijasvan Bharadvaja. He also mentions Vamra Vaikhanasa in RV(1.51.9) so he has to be after vamra too. he is the composer of RV(1.51-57)
B86
he was a brahmin belonging to gautam family line. He was the purohit of Siradhwaj, Rama's father in law.

D6
he is the son of atharvana rishi and the composer of RV(10.97). We know that Atharvaved deals with all kinds of healings of diseases and Atharvana rishi is a major composer of it. Here, his son bhishag also talks about curing of diseases in RV(10.97)

D25
Vaivasvat manu's son Sharyati had married off his daughter to Chyavana rishi. Chyavana bhargava- RV (10.19) Kavi bhargava RV(9.47-49, 75-79)
C27
he was born from urvashi and mitravaruna. Urvashi was the wife of pururavas, the Paurava. Now a confusion must be cleared. technically, this vasishtha should be the starter of family but we see many vasishthas existing before him.the purans already give the solution for it saying that the original vasishtha in the swayambhuva manvantar got cursed and was reborn in vaivasvat manvantar to mitravaruna. this in historical sense means that there were two vasishthas, one earlier and the other one later. In rigveda we find that many verses are quoted to be composed by vasishtha maitravaruni. But since he is present quite earlier than the era of kings like sudas of N panchala, we have to conclude that the sarvanukramai and other anukramanis quoted vasishtha maitravaruni wrongly. there was a different vasishtha present during sudas' time. Although the actual vasishtha maitravaruni can also have hymns on his name but it is difficult to find out which hymns are his and which are of the vasishtha during sudas' time. agastya maitravaruni was the brother of vasishtha and has composed RV(1.165-191)
D27
his exact position is unknown but he has mentioned Trita Aptya in RV(10.120)
C28
he has composed RV(9.25) gaupayanas are the descendants of agastya maitravaruni. They have composed RV(5.24 & 10.57-60) they mention ikshvaku in RV(10.60.4) and also yama, the son of vivasvan in RV(10.60.10)

Varatrin was the priest of the daityas. He had 3 sons who perished in the Deva-Daitya war. Shanda and Marka were also the priests of Daityas but changed side and hence were cursed by shukra. Apnavana's wife had a patronymic 'nahushi' and hence he should be after king Nahush

D54
he was married to vishwamitra's sister. Their son was jamadagni.
D55
Shunahachep Ajigarti. He was the son of Ajigarta, a bhargava. Due to poverty, he sold off his son shunachep to rohit, son of Harishchandra. Jamadagni bhargava is vishvamitra gathin's nephew hence is placed here and is the composer of RV (8.101 & 9.62,65 ) and joint composer of RV(3.62 & 10.167)
D56

D57
he has composed RV(8.101) along with agni barhaspatya, son of briahspati.
D59
he was a haiheya and was defeated by Pratardana, King of Kashi and was chased to an ashram of a bhargava. There vitahavya accepted brahmanhood and a brahmin family and gotra exists now on his name under the Bhrigus. One of his remote descendant Aruna vaitahavya is the composer of RV (10.91).although vitahavya is present quite early still the verse of his descendant got added in a late mandala like the 10th. so we must conclude that aruna must be a remote descendant of vitahavya.

D73
when janmajeya 2 of Paurava dynasty was exiled, indrota shaunaka performed a horse sacrifice and purified him. He is also mentioned as Daivapi i.e son of devapi shaunaka. Vayu ( 93,21,6)
C75
his personal name was Shreshthabhaj. He was called by kalmashpada, King of Ayodhya and was mistakenly fed meat. Hence this vasishtha cursed him. Here is one more thing to confirm that our genealogy is correct. In mahabharata, padma,linga,brihad-devata have always confused the vasishtha of kalmashpada and sudas of north panchal. their stories run parallel as both have a son shakti. In the chronology of F.E pargiter, there is a difference of almost 14 generations between kalmashpada and sudas. So he has spent almost 2 pages explaining unclearly of how various scriptures are confused and these two vasishthas are different so as to suite his genealogy. But if the reader will observe my genealogy, he will come to know that naturally, without considering any synchronism, sudas and kalmashpada have become contemporaries and hence it proves why our scriptures have always related those two vasishthas. hence it is this 'shreshthabhaj' vasishtha who fought the war of ten kings along with sudas of N panchal. see Ancient Indian Historical Tradition by F.E Pargiter ( Page 208 & 209) it is he who is possibly the composer of 7th mandala of rigveda since he mentions sudas. he is wrongly quoted as vasistha maitravaruni. there is a possibility that some of the hymns in 7th mandala could be of the original vasishtha maitravaruni.
C76
he was killed in a forest fire with his other 99 brothers being killed by a conspiracy of vishwamitra after which vasishtha 7 had tried to commit suicide. Shakti's widow adrushyanti then bore a son, Parashara. He is the assistant composer of RV (7.32 ) with vasishtha. also RV (9.106)
C77
gauriviti- RV (10.73-74) anukramani wrongly quotes 5.29 to gauraviti shaktya. The verdarthadeepika remains silent on 5.29 and calls it's composer just by 'gauraviti' there were 2 gauravitis. One was a shaktya where as one was a sankruti i.e an angiras. ( ref: matsya 145,102) parashar shaktya- RV (1.65-73)

He is quite possibly atri bhaum since he is the oldest atri we know after the atri in swayambhuva manvantara. he is also said to have ordered vijitashva, son of prithu, king in the uttanpada line to kill indra. since by co-incidence, atri;s postion matches with the position of vijitashva, we can conclude that atri bhaum was presetn during vijitashva's time. He is the composer of RV(5.27 & 5.37-43 & 5.76-77 & 5.83-86 )

Arishtanemi Tarkshya is the son of tarkshya. Bhagwat puran mentions that there was another kashyapa called tarkshya who had got 4 daughters of daksha and 13 daughters were given to the actual kashyapa like aditi, diti, danu, etc. from this tarkshya, arishtanemi was born. he is the composer of RV(10.178) the placing of arishtanemi can be during the time of earlier kashyapa also since it is not specified which kashyapa had got 13 daughters of daksha Vivasvan Aditya is the composer of RV(10.13) and the father of Vaivasvat manu

he is the composer of RV(5.2) a story occurs in shatyayana brahmana and in brihad devata (5.14-22) which tells that during the reign of trayyaruna, the ikshvaku king, vrusha was driving his chariot and that chariout ran over kumara atreya.
F54
we all know the story that a kanva had taken care of shakuntala and then she had married dushyanta, the Paurava. Actually this kanva was not from the kanva family but was a kashyapa Mbh (1.70)
F56
parshuram had said to have done a huge sacrifice with a kashyapa as his upadhyaya. MBh (3.85)

it's hard to decide whether this samvaran is an angiras rishi or a descendant of prajapati vishwamitra..but he mentions purukutsa and trasadasyu and also he mentions ' marutashva's son vidath' which literally means bharadvaja barhaspatya since it were the maruts who had brought him from brihaspati to bharata. RV (5.33.9)

joint compsoer of RV(9.101). This hymn is also ascribed to yayati and nahusha who were way before andhigu and also to prajapati vishwamtra and manu samvaran. But since the position of yayati and nahusha is fixed and the position of andhigu is also fixed due to his grandfather Archanas Atreya, we have to assume that RV(9.101) was compiled by mixing verses of both yayati, nahush and andhigu.
E64
Avatsara kashyapa mentions vishvavara in RV(5.44.11) and shrutavit in RV(5.44.12) and sutambhara in RV(5.44.13)
E65
he is mentioned by Avatasara kashyapa and is mentioned in present tense in RV(5.44.12) by Avatsara kashyapa
F65
Not to be confused with Vatsara Kashyapa. The reason being that Vatsara kasyapa is placed at Sr.no 21 and for the reason that his son nidhruva had married the daughter of rishi chyavana. This Avatsara Kashyapa had got donations from Dhvashra and Purushanti as he mentions in RV(9.58.3). These Dhvashra and Purushanti are none but the sushanti and Purujanu kings of N Panchala placed at Sr. no 61 in the list of kings. So we place Avatsara Kashyapa here. he is included in the 5th mandala possibly because of his relations with bahuvrukta atreya whom he mentions in RV(5.44.12) He has composed RV(9.53-60)

Also Paravasu is said to be the son of Raibhya and grand-son of Vishvamitra MBH (12.49). This paravasu is also related to Parshuram, another confirmation of chronology since both Paravasu and Parshuram are 2 generations after Vishvamitra

Prajapati vishvamitra, different than the group of prajapatyas found in the 10th mandala who are descedants of prajapati parameshthin ( cell N 11). Prajapati vishvamitra- RV(3.54-56) Prajapati vishvamitra had a son called samvaran prajapatya who is the composer of RV(5.33-34) and is so placed because he mentions getting horses as dakshina in the yagya of bharadvaja aka vitatha in RV(5.33.9) note- after the reading the name 'samvaran' even i thought that he might be king samvaran, the Paurava but since he mentions being present during bahradvaja's time, he cannot be king samvaran since kign samvaran is 15 generations after bharadvaja.

J71
one confusion must be cleared here..RV has two kanva composers namely medhatithi kanva and medhyatithi kanva. Due to similarity in names, both are generally confused to be the same person. If you see RV(8.1.30 & 33) it says about the donations of asanga, the yadava king to medhyatithi and not medhatithi whereas RV(8.2) contains proper conversation between priyamedha angiras and medhatithi kanva which shows that priyamedha angiras and medhatithi were contemporary and medhyatithi kanva existed at a different time. also the anukramani ascribes RV(8.32) to medhatithi and the next hymn i.e RV(8.33) to medhyatithi which shows that they both were different people.
J72
he mentions kakshivan dairghatamas in RV(8.4.17) hence has to be later than him. He also records in RV(8.4.20) that he had received cows from medhatithi kanva and priamedha angiras hence has to be contemporary with them. His verses speak good for anus and yadus.
J73
he mentions priyamedha having praised soma in RV(8.6.45). His position cannot be fixed but has to be after medhatithi since he was a contemporary of priyamedha angiras
J74
Shashakarna mentions vatsa rishi in RV(8.9) and so does Sadhvamsa in RV(8.8)
I75
he was with Sudas as described in RV (3.53.12)
J75
his exact position cannnot be fixed but he is mentioned by praskanva kanva in RV(8.49.9) so he has to be earlier than praskanva.
J76
we don't know his exact position but he was certainly adter sudas of N panchal as in his hymn RV (1.47.5) he makes mention of sudas. He also has composed RV(9.95) and the valakhilya hymn RV(8.49)
J77
Aitreya Brahman (7.34 & 8.21) mentions narada and parvata kanva as the guru of Somaka Sahadevya, the king of N panchala. They are compsoers of RV(9.104-105) from this we deduce another king's position. If the reader sees, there are no kings mentioned in the shivi line i.e east anus. from narad and parvat kanva,we hereby place srinjaya, the king of shivi. MBh shanti parva tells about a story that narad kanva had fallen in love with srinjaya's daughter damayanti and parvata had cursed him. ANOTHER WAY: Linga Purana ( Canto 63) states that narada's sister Arundhati had married Vasishtha. SO if we look where we have placed Vasishtha, it tallies with our placing of Narada & Parvata Kanva.

also called as vishwakarma bhauvan. The composer of RV(10.81-82) he is a king from the line of priyavratas. one thing to understand about this priyavrata family line is that one of it's king tvashta was one generation earlier than Vaivasvat manu since vaivasvat manu's wife was tvashta's daughter. But here he is seen 3 generations after him. This can be explained by the time of ruling of each king. Most probably the kings in uttanpada line would have ruled for less duration and hence more kings existed in a time when relatively less amount of kings existed in other families. Vivasvan Aditya is the father of Vaivasvat manu and is the composer of RV(10.13). since he was the son of aditi, he was called as aditya.
