StarGrid takes the fear away from installing ceiling

speakers in auditoriums.

StarGrid is a complete kit shipped to the job site and

comprised of load-rated and lockable channels, brack-

ets, fittings, tubing and specialty rigging hardware that

creates a custom grid de¬sign that is unique for each

auditorium.

Sleep better knowing that ceiling speakers are securely

installed and will not fall. This is a safe and predictable

way to rig and aim ceiling speakers from a pre-engi-

neered and load-rated overhead grid that floats just

above the dropped ceiling and anchors into roof joists or

ceiling structure.

StarGrid is engineered specifically for cin¬ema audi-

toriums and post production editing facilities, offering

significant time savings, precision and drift-free speaker

angle settings with far less down-time.

First we prepare a preliminary estimate based on the

quantity and model of ceiling surrounds and the distance

between the back and front speakers.

The StarGrid system is then designed into the auditori-

um’s architectural CAD drawings, as is its multi-dimen-

sional speaker overlay (Atmos and Auro).

Important secondary attributes of StarGrid include sound

isolation that prevents sound from transmitting into other

auditoriums, wire manage¬ment, safety cables, an-

ti-sway devices, redundant safety back-ups and optional

seismic restraint kits.

Perhaps the most important element of StarGrid is the

detailed ten-page assembly and installation drawing

package that installers use as a guide. This manual pro-

vides a “Start Here” approach and documents all of the

assemblies into one very easy to understand installation

guide. This is what makes installing ceiling speakers so

predictable.

details gross weight loads, point to point safe working

loads and an overall working load calculation for building

specifications.

This Brace couples multiple channel

sections and provides a tensioned vertical

support for Overhead Grids in facilities that

have large open spaces between beams.

This allows the Grid to skip one or more

beams and bridge around obstacles such

as HVAC, sprinklers, etc.

Select our MultiMount® product line to

provide both pan & tilt adjustments for

speakers equipped with a 4-hole mounting

hole pattern or for tilt only, chose from our

selection of U-Brackets for speakers with

one mounting hole per side.

eliminate harmonic vibrations within

To assure a safe and efficient installation, we determine the cor-

rect load-rated rigging components that are compatible with the

building materials of the auditorium. These components include

beam clamps, truss clamps, concrete anchors, swivel fittings, etc.

U-Bracket mounts offers quick, low-cost installation attributes.

Speakers tilt into position allowing auditoriums to be “tuned” for

an optimum audio experience. Single-man installs are com-

mon, optional snap-on cover plates mask hardware and wiring,

as well as to provide a clean and cosmetically appealing result.

MultiMount®, our pan and tilt solution is now even more in

demand, especially with the need to aim wall surrounds toward

the “sweet” spot and for multi-dimensional sound applications.

Independent pan, tilt and roll controls disallow speaker angles

to drift and safely secure speakers in place, providing excep-

tional pattern coverage.

Various sizes accommodate surround speakers weighing from

20 lbs up to over 120 lbs (9 Kg to 56 Kg). The MultiMount’s

adjustable wall arm serves as a convenient carrying handle

that inserts easily into the wall plate making for easy and safe

installations.

Multi-dimensional auditoriums require safe and efficient ways to

install and aim loudspeakers from ceilings to yield an optimum

worry-free sound experience.

Immersive sound formats such as Atmos, MDA and Auro3D require

precise, permanent aiming. Adaptive’s designs achieve and lock in

specified angles and included indexing reveal the exact angle the

speaker is set at.

The UB-3RDX-60 is an interface that secures between a U-Bracket

mount and an overhead structure to provide a third axis of rotation.

Angle indicators allow the installer to set the specified angle on

the first try. One model provides a hard mount to the ceiling and

another adapts to standard NPT and BSPT pipe thread.

The MM-3RDX-18 MultiMount adapts to speakers with 4-hole

mounting patterns. This complete mount design offers three inde-

pendent axes of rotation. Angle indicators reveal the exact angle

of the speaker, saving time, and each rotation locks independently

without drifting over time. One model provides a hard mount to the

ceiling and another adapts to standard NPT and BSPT pipe thread.
