PITAGORA-Platform for the information technology

THE PROJECT IDEA

The basis hypothesis is that the programme area is

characterised by a widespread risk of loss of

competitiveness linked to:

- Scant capacity of enterprises to invest in R&D, with

outdate technological means and low-

technological production;

- Public administration still hinder the full

exploitation of ICT, mainly in terms of

transparency and simplification of procedures,

e-government;

- In general in the programme area: scanty use of

internet and need for simple, flexible measures to

be uptaken as soon as possible.

Key general objective: improvement and

amelioration of the ICT infrastructures and services

in the Adriatic area, thus contributing to the area

growth and job creation

THE PROJECT ISSUE

Main specific objectives: - To ameliorate the infrastructure allowing interoperability of the

administration services; - To enlarge the set of services offered by Public Administration, - To improve staff capacities concerning ICT use; - To enhance SMEs efficiency and competitiveness; - To establish new ICT services;

- To develop concrete actions and policies supporting ICT adoption

-Definition of the state of the art; - GPs analysis about new management approach and key

instruments for project solutions; - Definition of GP model and identification of the PITAGORA Table; - Significant role of transfer of know-how from the most experienced zones to those still lagging behind; -Development of applications for the ICT exploitation and

IPA PARTNERS ACTIVITIES

Croatia: 3 partner from Croatia; 1 Public Authority (city

of Split), 1 private company (S. Polo) , 1 Development

Agency (Dunea)

S.Polo: mainly involved in the setting up of TLC

infrastructures in the Istria Region

Dunea: in charge of the WP2 of the project including

all the dissemination tools (website, brochures…),it will

set up a wi fi system in the city centre of old town

(ZVONKO CHECK IT PLEASE)

Bosnia Herzegovina: Business Support Centre is working

at the implemenation of ICT services for SMEs

IPA PARTNERS ACTIVITIES

Albania: 2 partners (1 development agency + Chamber of

Commerce)

Both very keen in the support to SMEs for the implemenation of

new ICT services. Some stages are foreseen for them in Italy,

especially for better understanding the working system of the

One Stop Shop platform (by the City of Udine).

Montenegro:

During previous analysis: Mapping existing ICT/TLC

infrastructures and Broadband services.

Actually: survey about SMEs needs in terms of ICT and SWOT

analysis. KSJP”Budva” needs to enhance and improve its

competence in terms of ICT and TLC systems.

According to that, the public company KSJP “Budva” is

implementing:

• Indoor and outdoor WiFi system in the Sun Square in Budva,

• web portal to ensure good quality and efficient services for

citizens, employees and enterprises,

• Development and implementation of GPS vehicles

monitoring, aimed at the improvement of the service

through ICT.

BENEFITS FOR IPA PARTNERS

experienced some technical solutions based on ICT for PA or

enterprises;

Deeper analysis of the TLC systems adopted in other Countries

in relation to local needs and problems

Raise the awareness on positive opportunities provided by ICT

Possibility to organize stages or study visits hosted by some

Possibility to organize local trainings (tailor made for each

regions) as well as cross border training seminars.
