Each May, the Administration for Community Living cele-brates Older Americans Month to recognize older Ameri-cans for their contributions to the nation. This year, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Older Americans Act (OAA), the focus is on how older adults are taking charge of their health, getting engaged in their communities, and making a positive impact in the lives of others. The 2015 theme is Get into the Act. Check out all the different ac-tivities and ways that you can get involved and “get into the act” inside this edition of Classic Times and on our website, www.lcrac.com.

A special thank you to all the wonderful people who vol-unteered to plan, organize, and work on Christmas in Lex-ington County 2015. If you are handy with a hammer, paint brush, or rake and would like to help fix-up seniors’
