主席獻辭

　　一九九七年是香港別具歷史意義的一年

— 回歸祖國，結束了殖民地時代的統治。

適逢世界傳道會/那打素基金(基金)亦於同年

九月十九日成立為一獨立信託人基金，本人

有幸能見證這兩個難忘的時刻，並在這個特

別的年頭，獲選為基金主席，實在是一項殊

榮。

　　說到基金的源起，可追溯到一九九四

年。當時，座落於港島西區的雅麗氏何妙齡

那打素醫院因需要遷往新界大埔，故將般咸

道的院址出售。該院址所在地段，原屬於前

倫敦傳道會(即現時的世界傳道會)所有，惟

一直供予那打素醫院使用。經院方和世界傳

道會多次接觸商討後，同意撥出賣地的部分

收益在香港成立一個慈善基金，旨在透過資

助本港及內地屬於宣教、醫療健康、社會服

務及教育範疇的各項事工，藉以宣揚基督的

愛和分享精神。基金的行政運作架構則納入

那打素醫院執行委員會之秘書處部分，以提

高效率並節省開支。由二零零零年起，基金

每年均於一月至三月底期間接受有關事工的

資助申請。

Chairmanﾕs Statement

The year 1997 saw the historic moment of the

resumption of sovereignty by China over Hong Kong,

bringing an end to the colonial rule. On 19th September

of the same year, the CWM/Nethersole Fund (ﾒthe Fundﾒ)

was established. I was greatly honoured to witness both

memorable events and to be nominated as the Chairman

of the Fund.

The origin of the Fund can be traced back to 1994

when the Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital had

to move from Hong Kong West to Tai Po in the New

Territories. In view of the relocation, the Hospital sold

its property at Bonham Road. The land was owned by

the former London Missionary Society (now known

as ﾒCouncil for World Mission (CWM)ﾒ) but had all

along been provided for the use of the Hospital. After

deliberations, the Hospital and the CWM agreed to

appropriate a portion of the proceeds of land sales

for setting up a charitable Trust Fund in Hong Kong.

The Fund was established with an aim to propagate

the love of Christ and the spirit of sharing through the

subvention of needy ventures in the fields of evangelism,

medical and health work, social service and education,

in both the Territory and the Mainland. Administrative

support of the Fund is provided by the Secretariat of the

Executive Committee of the Hospital so as to enhance

administrative efficiency and cost-effectiveness. From

2000 onwards, applications for support are invited

annually from January to March.

By the grace of God, 66 local projects and 51

Mainland projects have received subsidies in the last

three batches of appropriation since the establishment

of the Fund. The grants have enabled the smooth

implementation of the projects, which have in return

benefited the community and glorified God. This Report

will briefly record the latest progress of some subsidized

projects and the financial statements of the Fund of its

first three years. The Fund also established the CWM/

Nethersole Investment Company Ltd. on 4th August

1999 with a view to making provision for the purchase

of a property and setting up of a headquarter of our

own in future. We pray that the investment strategy of

the Fund will be blessed by God, and that the Board

of Trustees be bestowed the wisdom to be a good

housekeeper of the Fund.

In February 1999, the Trustees began to pay local

visits in order to keep abreast of the progress of some

subsidized projects. Such visits allowed the Trustees

to meet with the officers-in-charge and learn of their

works in greater detail. In May 1999, the Trustees also

conducted a visitation of a few projects in Nanjing and

Hangzhou of the China Christian Council and Amity

Foundation. This has helped to improve communication

and promote co-operation between the Fund and the

organizations.

Overwhelmed with gratitude to the Board of Trustees

for their dedication and commitment in the past three

years, I would like to take this opportunity to record

my heartfelt thanks. I would also like to thank God for

bestowing on our Trustees complementary gifts and

abilities which enable a smooth transition of the Fund to

the new millennium. ﾒTo love your neighbour as yourself

ﾒ, being one of Godﾒs great commandments, is the Fundﾒ

s mission too. In the years ahead, the Fund will continue

to adhere to it through helping the needy according

to the Word: ﾒAnd whosoever gives one of these little

ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple,

assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his

reward.ﾒ (Matthew 10:42) May God continues to lead us

with His rich grace so that the Fund can keep moving

forward and glorifying Godﾒs name.

　　仰賴全能上帝的保守，基金成立三年以

來，先後有66項本地及51項內地計劃在過去

的三期撥款中獲得資助，並順利開展，造福

社群，達至榮神益人的目標。本報告書會簡

報首三年部分計劃的進展及基金財政狀況。

此外，基金亦於一九九九年八月四日成立世

界傳道會/那打素投資有限公司，既為日後

自置物業未雨綢繆，進行投資，也為基金將

來開設辦公室之用。期盼基金的投資策略得

蒙上帝的祝福，也求上帝賜諸般智慧與眾信

託人，使其在理財上成為合符上帝心意的好

管家。

　　為更深入了解受資助計劃的進展，基金

遂於一九九九年二月開展本地的探訪工作，

好讓基金信託人及同工們有機會與受資助計

劃的負責人面談，了解事工的進展實況，

見證基督。同年五月，基金信託人更前赴南

及杭州，視察內地受資助項目，並與中國基

督教協會及愛德基金會負責人會面，交流心

得，增進兩地的溝通與彼此合作的關係。

　　各位信託人於過去三年，不辭勞苦、盡

心盡力地事奉，本人謹此致以由衷的謝忱。

也感謝上帝賦予各人不同的恩賜與才能，互

相搭配，使基金平穩地踏進新的千禧年，在

往後的日子，繼續秉承基督給我們「愛人

如己」的使命，幫助有需要的人士，正如聖

經上說：「無論何人，因為門徒的名，只把

一杯涼水給這小子的一個喝，我實在告訴

你們，這人不能不得賞賜。」（馬太福音

10:42）願基金靠著上帝豐盛的恩典與保守，

繼續邁步前行，榮耀主名。

香港木屋區福音團契《新民關懷中心》(第三期延續計劃)

香港木屋區福音團契獲本基金撥款資助開辦新民關懷中心，並已於一九九八年九月十三日投入服

務。期間中心積極聯繫及推荃葵青區教會參與新民工作，為居港不足七年之內地人士及家人提供

服務，如偶到服務、家庭服務、舉辦班組活及福音活等，協助他們適應香港生活，解決日常面

對的困難。截至二零零零年二月底，中心會員104人、家庭會員121人，而偶到服務使用次數超過

10,000人次。

Hong Kong Squatter Evangelistic Fellowship Ltd. "Care Centre for New Arrivals"(extensive project: the 3rd batch)

Subsidized by our Fund, the Hong Kong Squatter Evangelistic Fellowship Ltd. established a Care Centre for New Arrivals which commenced service on 13 September 1998. In collaboration with churches in Tsuen Wan, Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi, the Centre provides services for new arrivals and their families who have resided in Hong Kong for less than 7 years, such as drop-in service, family counseling, homework tutoring and group activities for children, and evangelistic gatherings. The services aim at assisting new arrivals to integrate into the Hong Kong society and to help them encounter difficulties come across in daily lives. Up to February 2000, the Centre enrolled 104 members and 121 family members, with users of drop-in service over 10,000.


基督教聯合醫院外科組《舉辦兔唇兒童教育展覽/講座》

由基督教聯合醫院外科組主辦的「笑容再現 - 兔唇裂顎綜合治療」展覽已於一九九八年十月十一日

圓滿結束，該活一方面讓社會大眾了解兔唇的成因及特徵，減少對患者的誤解；另方面，為有需

要人士提供適當的醫療資訊，讓這群天真小孩笑容再現，邁向豐盛人生。

The Cleft Palate Team, United Christian Hospital "Exhibition/Talk on treatment and service for children with cleft lip and palate"

Organized by the Cleft Palate Team of the United Christian Hospital, an exhibition/talk on treatment and service for children with cleft lip and palate was successfully held on 11 October 1998. The event aimed to promote public acceptance towards the affected children and to introduce medical treatment and rehabilitative plans to them and their families.

基督教聯合醫務協會《院牧服務》(第二及第三期延續計劃)

東區尤德夫人那打素醫院院牧事工委員會《院牧服務》(第三期延續計劃)

院牧服務乃本著耶穌基督「全人治療」的信念，向住院病人

及其家屬，並院內員工提供愛心關懷、情緒輔導、靈命牧養

及崇拜等服務。基督教聯合醫院及東區尤德夫人那打素醫院

院牧人員於一九九九/二千年度共服務近四萬五千人次，讓有

需要人士獲得身、心、社、靈全面的關顧。

United Christian Medical Service "Chaplaincy Service in United Christian Hospital"(extensive project: the 2nd and 3rd batch)The Chaplaincy Committee of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital "Hospital Chaplaincy Service" (extensive project: the 3rd batch)Chaplaincy service in hospitals offer clinical pastoral care with compassionate love to the patients, their family members and staff, including spiritual care, emotional counseling, worships, etc. Chaplaincy services of the United Christian Hospital and Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital were provided to nearly 45,000 people in 1999/2000 to meet their physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs.

基督教關懷無家者協會《擴置日間活中心》(第二及第三期延續計劃)

基督教關懷無家者協會自一九九八年租用九龍大埔道開辦無家者活中心，及聘請傳道人展開福音

工作，至二零零零年三月於深水自置物業擴展服務，為無家者提供宿位、膳食、個人護理、就

業輔導及推行福音事工等，協助他們融入社會、自力更生、歸信基督及重新做人。由一九九八年

十月至二零零零年九月受惠人數超逾三萬人次。

Christian Concern for the Homeless Association "Day Centre for the Homeless"(extensive project: the 2nd and 3rd batch)

The Centre for the Homeless of the Christian Concern for the Homeless Association in Tai Po Road, Kowloon commenced service in 1998. Upon relocation to self-owned premises in Shampshuipo in March 2000, their service was enhanced, including the provision of hostel accommodation, dental and meal services, employment counseling, personal and spiritual care, etc. Such services have enabled the homeless to better integrate into society, and share the gospel of God. More than 30,000 service recipients benefited from the above services from October 1998 to September 2000.

香港婦女基督徒協會《基層婦女牧養計劃》(第三期延續計劃)

針對基層婦女的需要，香港婦女基督徒協會一九九八年於青衣長安開辦《妍社》婦女中心。透

過舉辦不同群體和親子活、婚姻和生活輔導、各類課程和培訓班、婦女健康教育、提供家庭支援

及每月印製月訊等，鼓勵該區婦女積極發展自己潛能，協助她們建立互相扶持的群體網絡。

Hong Kong Women Christian Council "Women Pastora l Care Programme" (extensive project: the 3rd batch)

To cater for the special needs of the women in Tsing Yi, a Women Centre was set up by the Hong Kong Women Christian Council in Cheung On Estate, Tsing Yi, in 1998. Through the provision of a variety of services, women are encouraged to explore and develop their potentials and to build up their mutual support network. Their services include group and family activities, marital and daily living counseling, training programmes, health education, publishing of newsletters, etc.

英語宗教節目廣播委員會《聘執行董事製宗教廣播節目，及向本地教會推廣委員會工作》

(第三期延續計劃)

英語宗教節目廣播委員會於香港已有33年歷史，為香港廣播界提供唯一的英語宗教節目，由香港

電台第3及4台提供免費廣播時段，節目如晚禱及轉播教會主日崇拜等。據該會提供一九九九年

一月之調查顯示，23,000名聽眾中，廣東話人士佔

22,000名，頗受本地人士歡迎。

With a history of 33 years , the Rel igious Broadcasting & Television Advisory Committee is the only local producer providing English Christian radio programmes to the people of Hong Kong. With free air-time provided by two English channels, RTHK-Radio 3 and 4, Christian programmes, such as Reflections are broadcasted every mid-night and Sunday Service every Sunday respectively. A survey in January 1999 provided by the Committee indicated that their programmes had an audience of 23,000 people, 22,000 of whom were Cantonese speakers.

由於不易租賃政府物業，基督教愛協團契於一九九八年八月置位於九龍青山道的物業作資源中心

及辦公室之永久會址，為精神病康復者提供「全人關顧」服務，包括家訪、個人輔導、成立互助小

組、提供諮詢及靈牧服務、舉辦群體活、推廣心理及精神健康教育等，透過信仰及生活上彼此的支

持，以減低復發的機會，並協助康復者重投社會及教會生活。

Christian Oi Hip Fellowship Ltd. "Purchase of premises for the set up of Resource Centre cum Headquarters"

Due to the diff icult ies in the rental of Government premises, the Resource Centre cum Headquarters of the Christian Oi Hip Fellowship Ltd. was able to establish at a permanent site at Castle Peak Road in Kowloon in August 1998. The Fellowship provides holistic care for ex-mental patients, including home visits, counseling, consultation, social activities and mental health education, and setting up self-help groups, etc, which aims to reduce their chance of recurrence, and assist them to re-integrate into society and churches.

青海省地處高原，人民生活艱苦，且醫療衛生條件欠。《置青

海流手術車醫療設備及輔助車輛》計劃於一九九八年獲得資助

撥款，並於同年9月投入服務。整項巡迴醫療服務三年來惠及近

7,000人，並為農牧民節省醫療費用達人民幣2,000,000元，並

獲青海衛生部高度贊許，把最高級的醫療服務送到最基層老姓

家門口。

Amity Foundation "The purchase of medical equipment for the mobile clinic in Qinghai and a vehicle for transporting doctors"

Qinghai Province was located in the plateau of Qinghai-Tibet. Due to inconvenient transportation and poverty of the people, medical provisions are far from sufficient. In 1998, our Fund sponsored for the purchase of medical equipment for a mobile clinic in Qinghai and a vehicle for transporting the doctors of the clinic. Since commencement of

service in September 1998, the mobile clinic has served a total of 7,000 patients in the past 3 years, saving medical expenses at 2,000,000 yuen for their people who are mostly farmers and herdsmen. The Qinghai Provincial Public Health Bureau has highly commended that the mobile clinic delivers the most advanced but cheapest medical services to their laymen.

廣東協和神學院《興建新校舍》(第二期延續計劃)

廣東省教會現有信徒廿二萬人，共有586個會所，惟牧師只得135人，人才短非常。有鑑於此，

廣東協和神學院於廣州市白雲區新建校舍，落成後可容納150名學生，為廣東教會培育傳道人

才，以應不斷發展的教會需要。

Guangdong Union Theological Seminary - Development of new school premises(extensive project: the 2nd batch)

There are 220,000 Christians and 586 churches in the Guangdong Province. They are served, however, by only 135 pastors. To ease the shortage of pastoral workers, new school premises of Guangdong Union Theological Seminary was built in Guangzhou with a training capacity of 150 students.

愛德基金會《於中國西部推展社區健康人員訓練計劃》(第三期延續計劃)

愛德農村醫務人員培訓計劃於一九九八年開始，村醫及鄉醫學員必須來自貧困及少數民族地區，

如寧夏、甘肅、四川等，由醫衛學校及醫院提供為期一年的村醫或半年的鄉醫培訓。其後為配合

國家醫師法，愛德為接近4,000名學員提供為期兩年之村醫函授課程，不但解決村醫學歷問題，更

提高偏遠及貧困地區之基層醫療服務水平。

Amity Foundation "Training of community health workers in Western China"(extensive project: the 3rd batch)

The programme of training of community health workers in Western China started in 1998. Trainees of village doctors came from the poverty-stricken and the ethnic minorities, such as Ningxia, Gansu, Sichuan, etc. The health training schools and hospitals offered one year training of village doctors or half year training of township doctors. In coordination with the State Health Policy, the Amity Foundation then provided a two-year distance learning course for 4,000 in-service trainees. This move did not only help qualify the village doctors of the requirements stipulated by the State, but also help enhance the quality of medical service in the western areas.

英華漁人協會《資助國內六所實驗聾校基本口語法設備及培訓工作》(第二期延續計劃)

英華漁人協會致力為內地失聰學童設立模範學校及為有關專業人士組織研討會及培訓工作，以促

進內地聾教育的發展。該會先後於廣州、上海、南、北及武漢五所實驗聾校置儀器設備，及於

北、武漢、南、香港等舉辦教師培訓班及師生交流團。該會更獲得國家教委支持是項計劃及參

與撥款資助，由政府負擔計劃之一半開支。

Ying Wa Fishermen Association "Training seminars for principals, administrators and technicians of hearing impaired education and establishment of model schools for the deaf in China" (extensive project: the 2nd batch)

Ying Wa Fishermen Association is dedicated to the set up of model schools for the deaf and the conduct of training seminars and courses for in-service professionals for the advancement of hearing impaired education in Mainland China. Equipment for speech and hearing training has been purchased and installed in 5 model schools respectively in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Nanjing, Beijing and Wuhan. Besides, training courses for teachers and exchange visits for both teachers and students were organized in Beijing, Wuhan, Nanjing, and Hong Kong, etc. The project has successfully received support from the National Education Office and half of its expenses are borne by the government.

香港基督教服務處《跨世紀中國福利事工專業化》(第三期延續計劃)

《跨世紀中國福利事工專業化》旨在協助培訓內地社會福利人員，以推國家社會福利專業發展。

計劃內容包括支援內地社會人員培訓、學前教育師資培訓、出版工作及戒毒康復服務培訓等。

1999/2000年度培訓人數共814人。

Hong Kong Christian Service "Cross-century supportive project for the professionalism of welfare services in China" (extensive project: the 3rd batch)

The project aims to support the training of social service personnel to facilitate the profess ional i sm of soc ia l welfare development in Mainland China. Contents of the project include local support to training programmes for social welfare workers and child care workers, publications and rehabilitation service for drug abusers, etc. in Mainland China. A total of 814 social workers were trained in 1999/2000.

基督教靈實協會《靈實胡平頤養院加強護理服務部之部份興建費用》

本基金撥款港幣三萬元資助興建靈實胡平頤養院加強護理服務部，該部並以基金名字命名為「世

界傳道會/那打素深愛樓」，為46位健康情況欠佳，以致長期臥床及需要特別護理的長者，提供全

面而適切的醫療護養服務。

Haven of Hope Christian Service "Capital expenses for Haven of Hope Woo Ping Memorial Care and Attention Home"

Our Fund sponsored HK$3,000,000 in support of the construction cost of the Haven of Hope Woo Ping Memorial Care and Attention Home. In acknowledgement of our donation, the special nursing care unit of the Home is named after the Fund as "CWM/Nethersole Special Nursing Care Centre". The Centre provides comprehensive and resident-oriented nursing home services for 46 elderly people who are bedridden and in need of special care .

關愛發展有限公司《關愛之家》(第三期延續計劃)

關愛之家於一九九九年八月成立，借用修院部份地方作為家舍。由於地方有限，宿位僅得10名，

為一群與家人關係惡劣的少女們提供為期一年之住宿服務，並透過關懷、輔導、戶外活、訓練課

程及家訪等，使她們重建自信及協助她們與家人重建和好關係。

Pastoral Care Promotion Foundation Ltd. "The Home Care for Young Girls" (extensive project: the 3rd batch)

In August 1999, the Home Care for Young Girls was established with premises temporarily situated at a convent school. Due to limited space, the Home can only offer one-year accommodation for at most 10 gir l s who find it hard to live with their families as their relationship become deteriorated. In addition to accommodation, the young girls are also provided with daily care, individual and group counseling, outdoor activities, vocational training and home visits in order to re-build their confidence and restore the relationship with their families.

聖公會教區福利協會《聖公會青年就業綜合服務》(第三期延續計劃)

由於香港經濟轉型，失業率高企，聖公會教區福利協會抱持同行者關懷的觀念於一九九九年三月

於觀塘和樂開展聖公會青年就業綜合服務，透過一系列就業訓練、輔導及資源閣等服務，協助

青少年裝備投身社會的技巧、面對工作壓力及提供就業輔導。1999/2000年度受惠人數共14,000

多人。

Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council "Sheng Kung Hui Youth Employment Integrated Service Centre" (extensive project: the 3rd batch)

Due to the change of economic structure in Hong Kong and high unemployment rate, the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council established the Sheng Kung Hui Youth Employment Integrated Service Centre in March 1999 in Wo Luk Estate, Kwun Tong. The Centre provides training activities, inquiry and counseling service and an Employment Resource Centre for youths to master the required skil ls and abilities for employment, and to assist them to face with work pressure and other difficulties encountered at work place. The number of service recipients was 14,000 in 1999/2000.

對療程及適應醫院環境，加速病情康復。

United Christian Hospital "Hospital Play Service" (extensive project: the 1st batch)

I n o rder to a l l ev ia te the s t re s s fu l experience of hospitalization and medical treatment for children and their parents, the Hospital Play Service provided by the United Christian Hospital enables child patients to enjoy a festive atmosphere during their stay in the hospital and feel more comfortable with the conduct of medical procedures as well as to speed up recovery.

基督教巴拿巴愛心服務團有限公司《女戒毒康復者及其家庭心靈關顧計劃》

基督教巴拿巴愛心服務團以福音戒毒，為40歲以下的女濫藥者提供戒毒、治療、康復及輔導等服

務，並舉辦家長活，讓受助者及其家人互相分享，重建關係。計劃推行僅一年(由一九九九年八

月至二零零零年八月)已有20多名受助者及其家人決志信主，並有30多人接受信仰栽培。

Barnabas Charitable Service Association "Drug treatment and rehabilitation service for female drug abusers and counseling service for their families"

Focusing on gospel detoxification, Barnabas Charitable Service Association provides female drug abusers under the age of 40 with drug detoxification, treatment, rehabilitation and counseling service. Also, the Association organizes family groups providing sharing sessions for service recipients and their families, to help them rebuild a healthy relationship. From August 1999 to August 2000, more than 20 girls and their family members decided to follow Jesus and more than 30 girls received spiritual care.

工業福音團契《建立基層家庭資源中心》

工業福音團契於一九九八年底開辦以基層家庭為主導的宣教服務中心，透過舉辦夫婦溝通營、親

子活、家庭教育講座、信仰查經講座及福音電影晚會等，協助基層家庭成員在面對種種壓力下都

能健康成長。中心會員人數截至一九九九年底已逾350人。

The Industrial Evangelistic Fellowship Ltd. "Set up of a Family Resource Centre"

A family resource centre was set up by the Industrial Evangelistic Fellowship Ltd. in 1998. Services of the centre include communication camps for couples, family activities, seminars on family education, Bible study groups and evangelistic film shows, etc. The objective is to help the low-income families to live healthily under various social and economic pressure. The centre had more than 350 members as at the end of 1999.

Catch是現時市面上寥寥可數的基督教青少年月刊之一，於一九九九年一月創刊，每期內容包括

社會時事、潮流文化、校園態及學生服務等，使讀者在資訊泛濫的社會中，生命有依歸，生活有

方向。1999/2000年度接觸讀者共3,200人。

Fellowship of Evangelical Students (HK) Ltd. "Publication of the 'Catch' magazine"

The 'Catch' is one the very few Christian youths magazines in Hong Kong. Its first issue was published in January 1999. Contents include social and public affairs, trends and culture, school activities and student services, etc. It helps youths to receive the gospel of God and find out the direction of life especially when our society is flooded with information. Its readership was 3,200 in 1999/2000.

香港基督教更新會《獄及感化院之福音及教育事工》(第三期延續計劃)

更新會定期前往懲教所及感化院舉行佈道會、牧養活及進行探訪，讓被囚者、釋囚人士及他們的

家人認識福音及得著全人牧養。該會更開辦「釋囚造就牧養計劃」，栽培已信主的釋囚為同工或

義工，為他們提供牧職訓練及門徒訓練，幫助他們融入教會及重投社會。

Hong Kong Christian Kun Sun Association Ltd. "Educational and evangelical ministries in prisons and correctional institutions" (extensive project: the 3rd batch)

Crusade, pastoral education and visitations are always held at different prisons and correctional institutions by the Hong Kong Christian Kun Sun Association Ltd. for spreading the gospel of God to the prisoners, released prisoners and their families. Besides, the Association organizes a training programme and provides in-service training for released prisoners who have become Jesus followers and could be given further training to join the Association as colleagues or volunteers. This helps assist them in integrating into church and society.

中國基督教協會《興建江蘇省聖經專科學校》(第三期延續計劃)

江蘇省有萬信徒，但牧職人員僅得120位；江蘇省基督教聖經專科學校的落成可容納130名學

生，為教會培育教牧人員，以迎合教會的殷切需求。

China Christian Council "Construction of the Bible School in Jiangsu" (extensive project: the 3rd batch)

There are 1 million Christians in Jiangsu Province, but only 120 pastors. The opening of the Jiangsu Bible School with a training capacity of 130 students can train up pastors to meet the great demand of churches.

愛德基金會《愛德醫療隊》

愛德醫療隊自一九九七年成立以來，先後在四省

（江蘇、安徽、江西及山東省）九縣為14,000多

人次治病，培訓了1,000多名當地醫務人員，給貧

困地區農民提供巡迴醫療服務，使交通不便貧困

地區之老姓因而受惠。

愛德醫療隊乃由南多間醫院之退休和在職醫生組

成。一九九九年度門診人次共7,000多人，共進行

了多次手術。

Amity Foundation "Amity Medical Team"

The Amity Medical Team was founded in 1997. Since then, it has visited 4 provinces(Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi and Shan Dong) and 9 counties to treat 14,000 people and provide further training for more than 1,000 medical workers. With the mobile medical service, the people in remote and poor villages can be treated promptly.

愛德基金會《南市戒毒所醫療設備》

南市戒毒所於一九九五年成立，收容吸毒者千多名。本基金撥款資助戒毒所置醫療和戒毒設

備，幫助吸毒者安全地戒除毒癮。

Amity Foundation "Detoxification Clinic of Nanjing"

Since establishment in 1995, the Detoxification Clinic of Nanjing has received more than 1,000 drug addicts. Our Fund sponsored the Clinic for the purchase of medical equipment to facilitate safe treatment.

文化交流服務中心有限公司《清遠市社區健康發展計劃》(第三期延續計劃)

清遠市處於廣東省，市民健康知識及個人衛生常識甚貧乏。清遠市社區健康發展計劃始於

一九九九年四月，主要為當地一所中學 — 光明中學之學生、家長、老師、職工及家屬提供輔導

及保健工作，另又為校旁之一所幼稚園之全體學生提供幼兒保健服務。九九年度受惠學童250

人，家長200人。這計劃漸見果效，它成功地把社區健康及幼童保健知識傳揚至該市其他地方。

Center for Cross Cultural Service Ltd. "Qingyuan Community Health Development"(extensive project: the 3rd batch)

Qingyuan is located in Guangdong Province. Citizens are lack of health education and knowledge of per sona l hyg iene . S ince commencement in April 1999, the project of Qingyuan Community Health Development has provided counseling and health maintenance services for the students, teachers, parents, staff and their dependents of the Kwong

Ming Secondary School, and health maintenance services for the kids of a kindergarten in the neighbourhood. 250 children and 200 parents benefited from the services in 1999. The project is proved to be a success as the knowledge o f c o m m u n i t y h e a l t h a n d h e a l t h maintenance for children is found to be passed around to other places of the city.

香港教會更新運有限公司《九九香港教會普查》

香港中文大學宗教系《香港基督教群體在殖民地時代的角色與使命》

本年度資助計劃中其中兩項為普查及文獻研究工作，由香港教會更新運推行的《九九香港教會普

查》進行五年一度的調查，收集數據進行研究和分析，為教會日後發展提供重要資料；而香港中

文大學宗教系於1999/2000年度進行的《香港基督教群體在殖民地時代的角色與使命》，藉探討

一九四九年前在英國殖民地統治的香港基督徒群體，以增進教牧同工及信徒對傳統歷史之理解，

協助信徒建立一個後殖民地時代的中國香港基督徒身份。

Hong Kong Church Renewal Movement Ltd."Research on Hong Kong Churches 1999"Department of Religion of the Chinese University of Hong Kong"A study of the transformation of the Christian community in the colonial Hong Kong"

Two of the subsidized projects in the year worked on survey and documentation study. Hong Kong Church Renewal Movement Ltd. carries out a survey on Hong Kong churches every 5 years. Data collected and analyzed will serve as important information for future development of churches. In 1999/2000, a study on the transformation of the Christian community in the colonial Hong Kong before

1949 he ld by the D e p a r t m e n t o f Religion of the Chinese University of Hong Kong aimed to enrich the understanding of pastoral staff and followers of Jesus Christ on the historical developments, and helped them to build up their identity as China-Hong Kong Christians in the post colonial era.

長者安居服務協會《耆安鈴長者熱線電腦設備》

「耆安鈴 - 1878238」乃全港首條免費雙向溝通之長者熱線，由專業社工及受訓義工接聽電話，

供全港萬名長者查詢及分享心事。協會亦定時致電慰問長者，並提供轉介及物資轉贈服務。由

一九九九年七月至二零零零年三月服務人次超逾二萬人。

Senior Citizens Home Safety Association "Elder Ring"

"Elder Ring - 1878238" pioneers a free hotline for the elderly of Hong Kong. Over the phone, a team of professional social workers and trained volunteers of Senior Citizen Home Safety Association offers assistance to and shares the feelings of more than 1 million senior citizens. The Association also gives regular calls to the service users and renders transferral and supportive services whenever they need. From July 1999 to March 2000, the number of service users exceeded 20,000.

新健社(中風患者及家屬互助社)《新健精神表愛心及社友互助表關懷》(第一期延續計劃)

對於中風者和家屬來說，如何面對和適應病後的改變是十分艱難的。新健社是中風患者及其家屬

之互助社，透過醫院探訪、舉辦迎新會及定期聚會，發揮互相扶持的精神，彼此勉勵積極投入復

康過程。該社現有社員約420人。

The Hong Kong Stroke Association "Love and care to the stroke" (extensive project: the 1st batch)

It is difficult for the stroke patients and their families to face with and accommodate to the changes after illness. The Hong Kong Stroke Association cares for the patients and their families via a variety of supportive services, such as visitations to hospitals, orientation programmes to new members and regular meetings, to encourage them to have a positive attitude towards rehabilitation. They have 420 members now.

透過活營的康樂設施及遊戲，讓8-15歲身體健全及傷殘的兒童互相認

識和接納，學習怎樣合作、團結、共同創作及解決問題。

Treats "Treats Integrated Recreation Programme for 8-15 years old children"

Through integrated recreational facilities and activities, children and youths aged 8-15 with and without disabilities, can learn to make new friends, know and accept each other, co-operate, team-up, create new ideas and solve problems together.

香港基督徒學會《資助神學雙月〈思〉出版經費》

已出版十一年之神學雙月刊〈思〉，為基督教群體提供討論及反省社會議題的空間，鼓勵華人基

督徒多作獨立思考，關心社會，並在日常生活上實踐信仰。

Hong Kong Christian Institute "Publication of 'Reflection' magazine"

The theological bi-monthly magazine "Reflection" has been published for 11 years. The magazine provides the Christian community a forum to discuss and review on controversial social and public issues. It aims to encourage the Chinese Christians to think independently, concern more about their society, and to apply the Christian belief to their daily lives.

突破機構《大埔區少年及家庭輔導試驗計劃》

《大埔區少年及家庭輔導試驗計劃》乃一項以人口較年輕和少年犯罪率較高之大埔區為基地，與

區內醫院、學校、家庭及教會結合為伙伴，提供家庭輔導、學校為本的輔導計劃、老師及青少年

工作者的訓練等，目的是幫助高危少年培養臨危不亂、自強不息和群策群力的能力，預計一年內

可服務2,300人次。

Breakthrough Ltd. "Counseling programme for the youth and family in Tai Po"

In collaboration with the district hospital, schools, families and churches, a counseling programme for the youth and their families has been launched in Tai Po. The district has a young population with high risk teenagers. The programme includes family and school-based counseling, and training to teachers and youth workers. It aims at serving the high risk teenagers, training them the ability to stay calm and stable in times of crisis, to strive on persistently and develop their team spirits. Target service recipients are expected to reach 2,300 in a year.

視障人士福音中心《視福雜誌錄音盒帶製作計劃》

視障人士福音中心製作一盒以建立視障信徒屬靈生命及激

發視障人士積極面對生命的錄音帶，免費送贈與有需要人

士。逢雙月出版，每期製作500盒錄音帶，內容包括生命

見證、信徒分享、基督教資訊及書籍介紹等。

Christian Ministry to Visually Impaired Persons“Production of cassettes”

The Christian Ministry to Visually Impaired Persons produces cassettes to the visually impaired people with an aim to give them support and encourage them to face with their difficulties encountered. 500 cassettes per issue are produced on a bi-monthly basis, distributed to the needy persons for free. Cassettes contents include witness stories, sharing sessions, news on religious institutions, books introduction, etc.

The Association of Hong Kong Hospital Christian Chaplaincy Ministry Ltd. was sponsored by our Fund for the production of their own home page, purchase of computers, and publication of the bi-monthly magazine "Tender Voice" and other promotional materials. In order to let the people of Hong Kong have a better understanding of the Ministry and to expedite information flow, their home page (http://www.hospitalchap.org.hk) has been completed and uploaded to the internet since March 2000. The home page covers information about chaplaincy services in various hospitals, background, services and current activities of the Ministry, and Clinical Pastoral Education training programmes, etc.

年神學生，以及訓練教會領袖和教牧義工。

T h e c o n s t r u c t i o n c o s t s o f E a s t C h i n a Theological Seminary, Zhejiang Theological Seminary cum Christian Training Centre,Henan Theological Seminary, Anhui Theological

Seminary and Hebei Christian Training Centre, etc. were supported during the year to nurture dedicated students in theology and train up leaders and volunteers for churches.

工業福音團契《澳門勞工宣教計劃》

澳門工福中心服侍澳門的新移民勞工和中國合約勞工，關顧他們生活和工作上的需要，如開辦午

間飯堂、身體檢查、舉辦勞工課程和戶外活、組成查經小組及福音遍傳等。每年約有二萬位勞工

受惠。

Industrial Evangelistic Fellowship Ltd."Missionary programme for the labourers in Macau"

An Industrial Evangelistic Centre in Macau serves the newly arrived labour force and those from Mainland on a contract basis. The Centre provides services that care for their daily and work lives, such as provision of low-priced lunch sets, body check-ups, training courses, outdoor activities, Bible study groups, etc. There are 20,000 service recipients every year.

文化交流服務中心有限公司《清新縣人民醫院全人醫護服務(康復及母嬰)計劃》

清新縣為廣東省特困縣，而清新縣人民醫院(又稱北江醫院)為該縣之主要醫院。文化交流服務中

心本著基督矜憫為懷精神，以北江醫院為服務基地，設立康復及母嬰健康服務，包括修建康復中

心及社區健康中心、置儀器、培訓醫護及管理等專業人才等。

Center for Cross Cultural Service Ltd. "The Holistic Care Service (Rehabilitation and Mother and Child) for Qingyuan People's Hospital

Qingyuan is one of the poverty-stricken county in Guangdong, and the People's Hospital is its main hospital. Sticking to the philosophy of "Holistic Care with Compassionate Love", the Center for Cross Cultural Service Ltd. launched rehabilitation and mother and child services in the Hospital, including renovation of the rehabilitation centre and community health centre, purchase of equipment, training of medical and management staff, etc.

英華漁人協會《資助建立內地聾校教師培訓項目》

英華漁人協會計劃於上海設立培訓中心，並編印二萬本培訓手冊，以推全國聾校教師培訓，鼓勵

全國聾校使用口語法，提高學生言語及聽覺的能力。

Ying Wa Fishermen Association "Training programmes for the teachers of schools for deaf in China"

Ying Wa Fishermen Association planned to open a training centre in Shanghai and publish 20,000 copies of teachers' manual to train the teachers of schools for the deaf to use "Auditory Oral" to enhance students' ability in speech and hearing.

愛德基金會《南癌友協會康復培訓班》

南癌友協會會員約2,500人，現租用座落於中山風景區的舊醫院內舉辦康復培訓班，為癌友提供

各種康復知識，並舉辦文娛活、健身項目及旅遊等，協助他們積極面對及度過生理和心理的障

礙，以及減低復發機會。

Amity Foundation " The rehabilitation and training courses of Nanjing Cancer Sufferers Association"

With a membership of 2,500, the Nanjing C a n c e r S u f f e r e r s A s s o c i a t i o n h o l d s rehabilitation and training courses for cancer patients at some rented premises of an old hospital located at the Zhongshan scenic area. It provides rehabilitation knowledge, entertainment, physical education, travelling, etc. to help cancer sufferers to encounter both physical and psychological difficulties and barriers to reduce their chance of recurrence.
