Huiyuan Optical Communications Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise, specializing in R&D,

producing and distributing optical fiber cables, including electric optical fiber cables (ADSS and

OPGW), micro air blown cable, fiber optic unit and micro air blown cable tube; various types of

detection cable; user oriented fiber and optical fiber ribbon. It was listed in Shenzhen Stock

Exchange in 1995(Stock Code: 000586). At present, the company has yearly production capacity of

2,000,000 core kilometers of communication optical fiber cables and 500,000 core kilometers of

power optical fiber cable. The company is one of the top 5 manufacturers of optical fiber cable in

China and the key high-tech company authorized by national ministry of science and technology.

We boast a R&D CENTER with enterprise group of 40 experts, and have about twenty patents

technology, including three invention patents. The central tube shaped armoring cable technology

gained the National Patent in 1994, and the Ribbon Cable has won the 7th Golden Patent Award

authorized by the World Intellectual Property Organization and State Intellectual Property of

People’s Republic of China in 2001. Our company has been approved the certificate of ISO9001 by

Quality Assurance System and acquired the communication equipment access license issued by

Ministry of information industry, China State Administration of Broadcasting & Television and the

Headquarters of General staff of PLA. Our products have been widely used in the main trunk lines

communication, LAN communication, broadcasting & television, army, electric power, traffic,

railway and petroleum.

The company exported optical fiber cable to Thailand since 2003 via Thai China Fiber Optics

Co., Ltd.—a subsidiary in Thailand. Till now, the company has exported optical fiber cable about

24000 sheath km (ADSS is about 10000km, OPGW is about 4000km and micro blown cable is

10000km) to Demark, Thailand, Vietnam, Zambia, Colombia, Nepal, Philippine, Bulgaria, and so on.

1. Power Optical Fiber Cable

1.1 OPGW Composite Overhead Ground Wire with Optical Fibers

Introduction:

OPGW is a type of cable structure with composite of optical transmission and overhead ground

wire for power transmission. It’s working in power transmission line both as optical fiber cable

and overhead ground wire which can provide protection of lightning strike and conducting short

circuit currency.

The OPGW consist of stainless steel tube optical unit, aluminum cladding steel wire, aluminum

alloy wire. It has central stainless steel tube structure and layer stranding structure. We can design

the structure according to different environment condition and customer’s requirements.

Feathers:

• Stainless-steel optical fiber unit of central loose tube or layer stranding structure

• Aluminum alloy wire and aluminum clad steel wire armored

• Coated with anticorrosive grease between layers

1.2 ADSS All Dielectric Self-supporting Optical Cable

Introduction

ADSS cable is made of non-metallic material and self-supporting with the aerial power transmission line.

The tension resistance material is aramid yarn with high elasticity modules. Because of this material, ADSS

can withstand the large tension of installation (Max. span: 1500m), ice( Max.ice thickness: ≥20mm ) and

weed pressure(Max. wind speed: 35m/s).

• Layer stranding unit of loose tube structure

• Non-metallic central reinforcing element (FRP)

• Kevlar with high modular as reinforcing element

• PE or AT jacket

• Lightness, small outer diameter, no torsion, high tensile resistance and suitable for large span length

2. Micro Air-blown CableIn 2005, Huiyuan began to R&D and produce blown cable. Now it can produce blown cable with various

specification and good performance, formed the products series based on the micro blown cable and

reinforcement fiber unit. Micro blown cable has two structures: central loose tube structure and layer

stranding structure.

Compare with several well-known manufacturers around the world, Huiyuan is in a leading position and

gains foreign user's consistent high praise. At the end of 2012, Huiyuan has already exported micro cable

22000 km and sold nearly 2500 km in domestic market.

2.1 Central Loose Tube Micro Cable

Product features description

After years of continuous improvement, many characteristics of Huiyuan center loose tube micro cable gain

foreign users’ praise, which is specified as follows:

●Composite material replacing conventional material PBT of the loose tube not only improves the strength

of the loose tube but also avoids the fiber attenuation exceeding phenomenon caused by loose tube

contraction in low temperature. So the products can be used in cold area.

●Reinforcing element between the loose tube and outer PE sheath not only increases the cable tensile

strength, but also can be used as opening rope of the cable.

●The outer sheath, using imported materials and be modified, can reduce the friction coefficient of the cable.

Cable with micro grooves on the surface can increase the contact area between products and air. These

improvements can effectively improve the blowing distance (got patent protection).

2.2 Layer Stranding Micro Cable

Product features description:

Huiyuan layer stranding cable has a mature production technology, many indicators of the cable is

in a leading position, which is characterized as follows:

●Cable diameter is relatively small in premise of guarantee stiffness, so it can increase the air blown

length

●use latest materials replace the traditional water-blocking ointment on the cable core surface. It

can not only facilitate the construction of environmental protection, but also greatly improve the

water-blocking effect.

●The unique shape of micro cable makes blowing distance longer. Supply record is from 24 to

288 cores, it also can provide package with large segment length.

Product features description:

●Huiyuan micro mini cable with sample structure is one kind of FTTH products. The cable can be

blowing in the 5/3.5mm pipes that embedded in buildings in advance. The protection strength and

fiber attenuation indicators are higher than that of the foreign common optical fiber bundle (EPFU).

●The advantage of the product structure makes its construction more convenient and blown

performance better. Under 8 bar pressure, it can be blown out smoothly in a 5/3.5 mm duct with

500m length.

2.4 Strengthen air blown fiber bundle (FU)

Product features description:

●Compared with similar products abroad, the outer layer of Huiyuan FU is made through extrusion

process, so the intensity is relatively high. Cracking phenomenon of the outer protective layer does not

appear in the construction process.

●The outer layer of Huiyuan FU is made through extrusion process, so the intensity is relatively high

and the bending radius is relatively small. When laying the cable, it can pass through smaller inflection

points of buildings.

●The outer layer of EPFU, with rough and irregular surface, has a lot of small glass beads. During the

construction process, seal ring of the blown equipment can be easily worn out, which will lead to

replacement of seal ring and affect the construction process. However, the surface of Huiyuan products is

striped and regular, which has small attrition.

●The surface of Huiyuan product is striped, and the printed content is in the groove, so the seal ring is not

easy to wear out.

●Huiyuan’s products have tiny gap between the resin layer and the outer protective layer, so peeling the

outer sheath is convenient.
