ISO 16792

International standard that specifies requirements for the preparation, revision and presentation of digital product definition data.

Adapted from ASME Y14.41

Legitimize the use of 3D-models as an method of conveying product and manufacturing information

Supports a true paperless environment

Solid model only

Solid model and 2D Drawing in digital format

Annotation Feature

With the Annotation Features you can manage model annotations.

An Annotation feature consists of one or more Annotation Elements, such as:

Driven Dimensions

Notes, Symbols and Surface Finish

GTOL’s and Datum Tags

Annotation plane

Annotation features must reference an annotation plane.

Defines the orientation of the annotation respect to the 3D-model.

Driving Dimension Annotations

Converts feature dimensions to annotation elements.

This type of annotation element cannot be created

with the Annotation Feature, instead you right

click on a feature and select “ Create Driving Dimension AE”.

The annotation element then become embedded in the feature.

Note! Only dimensions oriented prior to the active annotation plane are created.
