1- Clarity : Before we can effectively evaluate a person’s claim or

argument , we need to understand clearly what he or she is

saying. Unfortunately, that can be difficult because people fail to

express themselves clearly. Sometimes this lack of clarity is due to laziness , carelessness, or lack of skill.

into a computer , bad information is exactly what you will get out of

it. Much the same is true of human thinking and reasoning. No

matter how brilliant you maybe , you are almost guaranteed to make a bad decisions if your decisions are based on false information.

information are crucial for critical thinker in order to make an

rational judgment on the issue. Some good debater’s trick is to

distract an audience’s attention by raising an irrelevance issue in order to get a success in debate or argument.

5- Consistence: It is easy to see why consistency is essential to

critical thinking. Logic tell us that if a person holds inconsistent

beliefs , at least one of those beliefs must be false. Critical thinkers

love truth and detest falsehood. For that reason critical thinkers are

constantly on the lookout for inconsistencies, both in their own thinking and in the arguments and assertions of others.

conclusions that logically follow from them. Unfortunately, illogical thinking is all too common in human affairs.

Some approaches to improve critical thinking in business :

1- Host meetings that emphasize the need to plan and organize for

effective business function. During these meetings, offer the

opportunity for staff members to provide input on ways that better

flow can be created within the organization.

The four components of critical thinking, according to

Hagemann are:

• Strategic thinking. This requires leaders to assess the business climate

and make the right decisions about where a company is going.

• Creative thinking. Creative thinking is essential for problem-solving

and growth. “If you think about it, everything that you touch, every building

that you walk in started with creative thinking. “So it’s imperative that we

have great creative thinkers in our leadership.”

• Problem solving. Problem solving is being able to assess a problem, cut

it down to the bare bones and deal with it as quickly as possible.

• Decision making. decision making is an often as a test of character and

being able to make tough decisions and have the willingness to be held

accountable. “That intellectual fortitude and courage is also a very

important piece.”
