OPEN CHAMPIONS We also extend our sincere condolences to Tommy Thornton and his family on the death his wife, Lily. She is survived by her children, Derek, Alan, Louise and Gerard. May she rest in peace. WITH DEEPEST SYMPATHY Mc MASTER CHAMPIONS Congratulations once again to our Ladies who have won the McMaster’s Cup for the second time in the three years that they have been participating in that competition. Their first success was in 2010. Last year they lost out to Knock in the final. This year Crumlin and Knock went head to head again in the final which was held at Ballymena Bowling Club. Crumlin emerged winners 55 shots to 39 shots. Open Challenge Cup at Leinster B.C. Congratulations to Lady Captain Joan Doyle and all our Ladies as they bring their season to a very successful conclusion. Not even the grey skies over Leinster could dampen the delight as our Ladies celebrate their win. RACE NIGHT A Race Night will be held in the Club on the 20th September next. Anyone wishing to buy a horse should contact Noeleen Kelly or Margaret McNevin. It is with sadness we report the death of Owen O’Callaghan this week. We extend our sincere condolences to his wife, Phyllis and children Noreen, Marian, Eoin and Valerie. Owen was a member of Crumlin Bowling Club for over 20 years and was conferred an Honorary Member in 2010. May he rest in peace.
