We recognise that this event will cause some inconvenience for you and we believe that we have a duty not to abdicate our responsibilities in this regard. We have worked closely with Event Organiser (Aiken Promotions Ltd.), City Council, An Garda Síochána and the other relevant Bodies (HSE, Emergency Services, etc. …) to ensure that disruption to your daily lives is minimised in as much as possible during this event. The event itself will bring a welcome respite to local business and commerce in Salthill following a bleak Winter and an even worse Spring and I believe that the overall economic benefit to the area and Galway City will be significant. Attached is the Residents Information Sheet and Map together with Car Pass and Resident Card you require. Should you need additional Car Passes and/ or Resident Cards please contact us on 091-862500 between the hours of 10am and 2pm, before Thursday 10 th May 2018. INFORMATION

Aiken Promotions will hold two events in Pearse Stadium this May.

The key event details are as follows:

Ed Sheeran @ Pearse Stadium, outdoor concert opening hours

Sunday 13th May 2018 17:00 hrs 18:00 hrs 23:00 hrs

Ed Sheeran @ Pearse Stadium, outdoor concert work schedule.

All works will be undertaken from Saturday 5th May to Tuesday 15th May

between 08:00hrs and 22:00hrs daily, except for the final show day 13th May,

when works will conclude at 01:00hrs.

Road Closures

Access for residents surrounding Pearse Stadium will be available throughout.

Residents will be supplied with a Resident card, and this will be supplied by the

Pearse Stadium Committee. Please have this card with you at all times.

INFORMATION FOR RESIDENTS Ed Sheeran, Pearse Stadium

One-Way System

A One-Way System will also be in operation from 7pm on Friday 11th May to

12 midnight on Sunday 13th May. This will apply specifically to the following

roads within the outer barrier:

• Dr Mannix Road/Threadneedle Road junction to Dr Mannix Road/ Dalysfort

Road junction.

• Dalysfort Road / Dr. Mannix Road junction to Prominade

• Rockbarton Road / Dr. Mannix Road junction to Rockbarton North junction

We request residents in these areas to park their cars off-street if possible to

facilitate the safe flow of pedestrians and traffic.

Also, we ask all drivers to take extra care while driving around the areas of the

Stadium as there will be a lot of pedestrian in the area leading up to the

concerts and after the concerts have ended.

Resident Car Passes and Permits

Residents inside the Garda Cordons (B1-B8) and Ticket Check Points (1-4) will

be issued with Resident Car Passes and Permits to facilitate free movement to

residents throughout the event.

Please protect and retain these Car Passes and Permits as these will be valid

for other big GAA Games that will be played in Pearse Stadium this year.

Stewarding of Estates

Estates around the ground will be stewarded by private security, employed by

Aiken Promotions.

In addition, up to seventy members of An Garda Siochána will be on duty in the

Salthill area especially in the areas adjacent to the Stadium, before during and

after the concerts, to ensure that Public Order is maintained and that City Bye-

Laws are adhered to. The Galway City Council Bye-Laws in relation to the

Regulation and Control of the consumption of Intoxicating Liquor will be

strictly enforced throughout the event.

Waste Management

• It is the intention of the Promoter to return the event site to the “as found”

condition after the concert.

• Facilities will be in place to ensure that there is no build−up of refuse in the

event site or surrounding area.

• A licensed refuse contractor will be engaged by the Promoter to remove

waste from the event site and all Pearse Stadium sustainability policies will

be complied with.

• A specialist contractor has been engaged to undertake a clean-up inside the

venue immediately after the event.

• Areas outside the venue will be cleaned in accordance with Pearse Stadium

and Galway City Council requirements.

• Litterbins will be distributed around the audience circulation areas in the

event site.

• Aikens Promotions have engaged the services of Galway City Council

cleansing department to undertake cleansing in the areas around Pearse

Stadium

Consultation has taken place with An Garda Síochána and Galway City Council

in planning for this event.

Additional Information

Bus Route 401

The 401 will run at regular 12-minute intervals on Friday 12th May and

Saturday 13th May, from 12pm, mid-day to 12am, mid-night.

The following changes have been made due to road closures in or around Pearse Stadium on these dates:

The bus will come from the direction of Newcastle.

Turn left at John Kelleher’s Garage onto Grattan Road,

Turn right at the Seapoint Promenade,

Drive around the roundabout at Seapoint to allow passengers embark/disembark at the Aquarium.

The 401 bus will then return using the same route. If additional buses are required, they will be added to the route on the relevant days. On May 12th and 13th the 401 Bus will not be using the following normal route, due to road closures. • Salthill Village • Right at Coco’s onto Dalysford Road, • Left onto Dr Mannix Road • Left onto Threadneedle Road • Left at the Blackrock Roundabout and onto the promenade.
