Math Pathways
For details of each math course, please visit the CHS Guidance & Counseling and review the course description in the Course Selection Guide.
Math Selection◼Sign up for the next course in sequence based on the information
provided.
◼If you plan to accelerate by taking a summer class, or you are concurrently enrolled in another math class at an accredited school, you MUST indicate this acceleration during course verification in April. We will move you to the next course during that time. In August 2020, you must prove completion of the summer school course. This information will be on the website on August 1st.
◼Any courses completed prior to the first day of 9th grade will not be included in the student’s CHS transcript. If students complete Geometry, a notation will be made that the requirement has been completed.
Math Selection● We CANNOT accommodate last
minute changes in math selection as courses are built on the selections made in April’s course verification
● Our process allows for flexibility in selection; however, classes are full in August and movement is impossible as it affects all classes, not just math
● Again, we do not advise or recommend summer advancement for 8th graders
