To edit a module it must have a certain status. The table below gives information on the different statuses

Module Trimesters

The academic year is structured into trimesters:

Autumn (September to December)

Spring (January to April)

Summer (May to August)

Drives timetabling, registration and assessment

Trimesters: Definitions

Trimesters Trimester Detail

Autumn A module is offered in the Autumn trimester only. The Autumn Trimester runs from September to November.

Spring A module is offered in the Spring trimester only. The Spring Trimester runs from January to April.

Summer A module is offered in the Summer trimester only. The Summer Trimester runs from May to August.

Year-long (12 months) A Year-long Module spans a full 12 months (3 continuous trimesters from the start of a student’s academic year).

Two Trimesters (Sept-April) A Module spans the Autumn and Spring Trimesters, running continuously from September to April.

Two Trimesters (Jan-August) A Module spans the Spring and Summer Trimesters, running continuously from January to August.

Autumn & Spring A Module is offered at least once in Autumn and at least once in Spring.

Autumn & Summer A Module is offered at least once in Autumn and at least once in Summer.

Autumn & Spring & Summer A Module is offered at least once in each of the three trimesters Autumn, Spring and Summer.

Spring & Summer A Module is offered at least once in Spring and at least once in Summer.

Credit Split by Trimester

If a module spans more than one trimester, coordinators must specify the credit workload per trimester in CMS

Resit: must select the trimester when it will be offered - this information will be used in the Exam Timetable

At least one feedback strategy needs to be selected per module, and sequence of when feedback will be given.

• ‘Overall Places’ auto-calculates

• Use ‘Update Places’ button to save changes

• If you have School- and College-level access you

can edit majors belonging to your ‘home’ unit

• Users can add and remove core and option modules for

majors/stages

Adding and Removing Modules

• Start typing to add a module; click the X beside a module code to remove it

• Instructions to students: more information about an option rule

• Rule conditions can be amended but this will affect the order in which they appear to students

• Checkbox to delete an option rule

Reviewing Structures

• Use InfoHub Structures Reporting to review changes made in CMS

• Consult checklist for structures changes as part of final review
