• ESTO REQUIERE QUE EL ULTIMO MOLAR ESTE INCLINADO EN UN ÁNGULO MAYOR Y EL DIENTE ANTERIOR EN UN ÁNGULO MENOR.

• YA QUE HACEN QUE LAS CÚSPIDES LINGUALES ESTÉN MAS BAJAS QUE LAS CÚSPIDES VESTIBULARES EN EL ARCO DE LA MANDÍBULA.
• EN EL ARCO MAXILAR LOS DIENTES POSTERIORES PRESENTARAN MAS ARRIBA LAS CÚSPIDES VESTIBULARES QUE LAS CÚSPIDES PALATINAS, DEBIDO A LA INCLINACIÓN EXTERNA DE LOS DIENTES POSTERIORES.

• Es una teoría que surge a partir de los estudios de Spee
• Menciona que las cúspides de los dientes posteriores forman un segmento de circunferencia (curva de Spee), que si se cierra por completo, forma un radio que puede medir hasta 10 cm. y que llega aproximadamente a la altura de la Glabela.

• Si se toma en cuenta que el cóndilo mandibular queda por dentro de esta circunferencia, se puede deducir por medio de esta teoría que el movimiento mandibular basa sus movimientos en base a la circunferencia formada, en el caso de una oclusión balanceada.
• Así mismo las cúspides de los dientes superiores caen sobre la superficie o contorno de la esfera.

Los dientes rotados ocupan mayor o menor espacio del que deben tener normalmente en la arcada.
Molares y premolares rotados ocupan más espacio que el normal en la arcada
Incisivos rotados ocupan menos espacio.
• En oclusión normal no deben existir rotaciones en las arcadas dentarias.
