CUVINT DE DESCHIDERE / OPENING ADDRESS

Cea de-a sasea editie a Conferintei Nationale de Dermatologie Cosmetica si Chirurgicala la care ati ales sa participati si anul acesta aduce o premiera in Romania: primul curs complet de chirurgie MOHS pentru tratamentul tumorilor cutanate cu localizare faciala. Un grup de chirurgi dermatologi americani, membri ai organizatiei non-profit “Blade and Light Society”, viziteaza tara noastra in cadrul unui program academic care va pune bazele unei colaborari benefice pe viitor intre dermatologii si chirurgii romani si americani. Reprezentanti de seama ai mai multor universitati americane raspindite pe tot cuprinsul Statelor Unite ale Americii: Universitatea Washington din Seattle, statul Washington, Universitatea Columbia din New York, Universitatea din Miami, statul Florida, Northwestern University din Chicago, statul Illinois, Universitatea Vanderbilt din Nashville, statulTennessee, precum si mai multi presedinti de societati nationale de dermatologie din Europa si Asia, participa anul acesta la manifestarea noastra alaturi de colegii lor din lumea universitara romaneasca. Tematica deosebit de incitanta propusa de invitatii nostri arata ca lumea dermatologica nu sta pe loc si ca progresul meseriei se face abordind pielea la modul pluridisciplinar. Cancerele cutanate cu localizare faciala pun probleme terapeutice deosebite. Economia cu care se face excizia, necesitatea unei interventii in margine de siguranta oncologica evitind astfel recidiva, face din procedura Mohs cea mai fiabila metoda de tratament in cancerul de piele. Cursul la care veti asista porneste de la histologia tumorilor cutanate, parcurge etapele de diagnostic si discuta metodele terapeutice, detaliind reconstructia estetica a pielii. Ultima zi este dedicata interventiilor estetice si noutatilor tehnologice din ultimul an: lasere, aparate de radiofrecventa, unde de soc . Manifestarea organizata de Societatea Romana de Medicina Estetica si Dermatologie Cosmetica si Chirurgicala este creditata de catre Colegiul Medicilor din Romania cu 16 credite EMC in cadrul Programului National de Educatie Medicala Continua. Evenimentul stiintific medical va fi dublat de cel social. Programul muzical al cinei festive este unul de exceptie: jazz in ritmuri romanesti. Va invitam sa va bucurati de eveniment.

The sixth edition of the National Conference of Dermatologic Surgery that you have chosen to attend again this year brings a premiere in Romania: the first comprehensive International Romanian MOHS Surgery and Facial Reconstruction Course for the treatment of skin tumors. A group of American dermasurgeons, members of the “Blade and Light Society” non-profit association, are paying a visit to our country as part of an academic program, which will lay the foundations of a future mutually beneficial cooperation between the American and Romanian dermatologists and surgeons.

World-famous representatives of the academic world, coming from various universities from all over the United States of America such as Washington University, Seattle, Washington, Columbia University, New York, NY, the University of Miami, Florida, the Northwestern University of Chicago, Illinois, or from Vanderbilt University of Nashville, Tennessee, as well as several respected Presidents of National Societies of Dermatology from Europe and Asia, have honored with their presence this year’s conference. The exciting topics chosen by our guests show that the world of dermatology is not sitting idle by, and the progress of our trade is achieved by a multidisciplinary approach. Skin cancer on the face is a tremendous challenge when it comes to its treatment. The necessary parsimonious excision, the need of an intervention within the safety margin, the exclusion of any possible relapse, all make the Mohs surgical method the most sure proof treatment option in the cancer of the skin. The course you are about to attend starts with histology, follows the diagnostic stages and debates the therapeutical methods including the aesthetic reconstruction of the skin. The last day of the conference details the cosmetic procedures and the last year’s technological developments: lasers, radiofrequency, shock waves. This event, organized by the Romanian Society of Aesthetic Medicine and Dermatologic Surgery, is credited with 16 CME points by the Romanian Doctors Association within the frame of the National Program of Continuous Medical Education. The medical scientific event will be paralleled by social events. The musical program featured at the Gala Dinner is a special one: jazz in Romanian rhythms. You are all invited to enjoy the event.
