Dal greco Sýntagma, traducibile in “composizione” o “insieme

di parti”, l’omonimo EP è nato nel 2018 e rappresenta un mio

biglietto da visita in musica. Un flauto “trasversale” che attraverso

composizioni originali dipinge nuovi paesaggi sonori e crea

atmosfere suggestive. Di che genere musicale si tratta? Diniego

la ricerca di una risposta a riguardo… Ogni brano ha una sua

peculiarità espressiva, un suo sviluppo creativo e un suo carattere.

Sono stato mosso dal desiderio di dar vita ad un caleidoscopio

sonoro di brani che potessero emozionare e parlare a chi li ascolta.

From the Greek Sýntagma, meaning “arrangement” or

“composition”, this EP was conceived in 2018 and represents my

perception and ideas expressed through music. A “transversal”

flute paints new landscapes and creates evocative atmospheres

through original compositions. What music genre are we talking

about? I refuse to look for an answer... Every track has a different

kind of expressivity, with its very own development and character.

I have been moved by my desire to create a musical kaleidoscope

of tracks that can tell a story to the listener.

bonus track solo nell’edizione per la distribuzione

digitale è realizzato in 3D Audio pensando ad un ascolto

in cuffia. L’applicazione di particolari provvedimenti

psicoacustici basati su phase rotations, frequency

changes ed early reflections che riproducono il modo

in cui il suono si propaga nell’ambiente ha permesso di

raggiungere un risultato che si discosta notevolmente

dalla traccia “ufficiale”, pur derivando dalle medesime

registrazioni. L’intento è quello di portare l’ascoltatore

nel mezzo dell’ensemble posizionando i suoni dei vari

strumenti in uno spazio tridimensionale, creando

in questo modo un ambiente acustico virtuale. La

percezione di questa traccia differirà da ascoltatore ad

ascoltatore, ogni vostro feedback in proposito sarà più

che gradito!

The bonus track, which is only available in the digital

download version, is a 3D Audio mix of Baroloux,

conceived for headphones listening. The use of

psychoacoustic principles based on phase rotations,

frequency changes and early reflections that replicate

the way sound propagates has allowed us to achieve a

result that is considerably different from the “official”

version of Baroloux, although the tracks originate from

the same recording. Our aim is to bring the listener

physically in the middle of the ensemble, assigning

each musical instrument to a 3D location around them

and thereby generating a virtual acoustic environment.

The perception of this 3D Audio mix will vary from

listener to listener, and your feedback would be much

appreciated!
